I found this written by beagle from the Amherst College site. It gives a better understanding of Beagle: When I read it, it made me pause.

Homelessness & Lives of Consequence
Submitted by ******* on Thursday, 5/20/2010, at 6:07 PM.

Dang. I haven’t lived a Life of Consequence. After graduation, I blew though two business failures followed by the immensely painful tanking of a twenty year marriage. Post-divorce, I spent November ’08 to April ’09 living in my cargo van on the side of Pioneer Valley roads. Some nights were fifteen below. By spring ‘09, I’d found, in the shadow of Johnson Chapel, a minimum wage job pushing shopping carts at the Hadley Wal-Mart, a job I still hold.

It was during the often distressing time of homelessness that I started noticing the Lives of Consequence slogan on the fundraising mail.(Homeless Amherst alums are smart enough, at least, to retain a PO box.)

At first, I thought, well, that phrase obviously doesn’t apply to me. But as I became more radicalized by my new digs, I inferred a meaning different from the fame/fortune interpretation too often ascribed to the slogan. I read not marginalization, but a reminder of the inspiration still provided by my educational roots, even in tough times. Maybe I could never recover my marriage and comfortable home, but I could never lose the broad view of life Amherst had given me.

In fact, I actually returned to campus last year as something of a student of my own new circumstances. Frost Library was, and still is, my research base for understanding something wholly new to me, for finding my – yes, principled - way through a suddenly more challenging life with the aid of an intellectual and moral compass few other college educations provide.

If a Lives of Consequence fundraising slogan brings in more bucks to Amherst, that’s fine with me. I'm not insulted. I’ll never be lucky enough to mail in a fat check, but without an abundant financial foundation, the College will, unfortunately, find it harder to confer not simply the kind of education that enables a rise to the top, but an education that inspires all alums to achieve a rich, complex, and interesting life regardless of fame or fortune.

Completely agree, Snowy.
I posted a couple days ago about Renner "outing" citigirl by posting her real-life name. In this instance, although Renner didn't post Beagle's name, he DID include a photograph.
I'm of the opinion that before posting identifying information, one should be confident of the veracity off that information. I don't know about the Beagle thing, but I know that Renner clearly stated he obtained citigirl's information third-hand...and STILL posted it.
That doesn't lend itself to confidence, in my opinion. If anything, it lowered Renners credibility to me.
That being said, I don't know Beagle personally, and don't know what he looks like.

While I'm not positive I don't think anyone here has actually seen Beagle in person.

there is a lot of info about Beagle online. make of it whatever you wish. Beagle has been a fixture on Topix....and a person of many monikers. yeah...PMM.
most everyone tries, at one time or another, to get into Beagle's head.
if you have time, there's plenty of material to analyze. go for it.
just remember...he loves, loves, loves attention.

It says where he works and renners blog has his name posted with the same article. I think if anyone wants to solve the disappearance of Maura Murray beagle clearly is the key. Who is going to sit him down and interview him?

I probably shouldn't have posted it. I didn't think about where he works being mentioned. I thought it gave a insight as to what Beagle has endured over the last few years. I thought it was an other side of the coin view that I wasn't privy to.

Shack,
Isues regarding how Renner approaches an investigation is one thing. But there is a contradiction in your reasoning. Renner has only said of Fred Murray that he is not being forthcoming about the days prior to Maura's disappearance, which is true, and which Fred himself indicated he is intentionally not talking about. As such, Renner has not said anything about Fred that Fred has not basically said about himself. The "characterization" you cite, thus is not Renner's, it is characterization that arises from Fred's behavior and statements.
Like I said, that is one thing. But if your concern is the Murray family and how they are being treated and the impact on them of behaviors surrounding this case (as your post clearly suggest), how on God's green earth do does Renner's restatement of Fred's statements and observable behaviors MATTER AT ALL compared to what that dbag Beagle did last night? What Beagle did is cruel and absoluately self-promoting and acid water in the veins mean toward the Murrays. Renner at least is contributing constructively to the discourse around finding Maura. Beagle is pissing on the rosary.
John while I totally agree that whoever put up those videos did a cruel thing we really have no proof as to who did it yet.
Yes, whoever did it is a dirtbag, no question about it.
Beagle has put himself in a suspicious light mainly by his own words.
Remember the school bus driver that tried to help Maura was also crucified by some for his words even though he was never a POI and had just stopped to offer help which which was refused by Maura.
He was innocent of any crime yet was accused for years.
When we have proof that it is definetly Beagle in that video then I will say that Beagle is a dirtbag but until there's proof I don't see how we can condemn him and call him names.

Yes it is and you are the one that took his heart warming post to put it on a blog where he is being crushed for something we don't even no he did. Not one of your better moves. If you think he really has such a big part in the case go take him to lunch and interview him. I'm disappointed in you. You get mad at people for name calling and being rude but you post his sad life story on the blog he is being destroyed on. Your better than that.

For the record I never liked beagles posts or citigirls. You don't have to support them I don't but they should have their rights respected. Rights that our families have died to protect

I truly hope a mob of people all don't go to his place of employment to hang him from the rafters. Hopefully he won't lose his job over this. Jeesh!

just a thought for newbies before you have the good fortune of my being away for the day.....

we're all creating Topix "history" here. you know, the stuff we refer to that doesn't make sense and you wish we'd just shut up about it. the past is the past...and all those phrases.

so....whatever you document will be debated and discussed past, present and future. we know each other.

and just another note....like Renner, Mason/as Fred Leatherman also did not hide his identity that he attached to his theory(ies). he was totally transparent about his professional background, provided contact info. and encouraged debate.

the reaction was and is to smear his reputation as a contributor to the mystery of MM's disappearance. well and good. karma surrounds you. interestingly, he doesn't hide his demons and his humanity is on display, as well.

thanks for anyone who contributes to the sanity of these Topix threads....let Websleuths be the playground for insanity.

For once we agree. No you shouldn't have posted it or sent it to others. Especially with his employer information.
He'll be enduring more hardship if he loses his job. And no one is even sure he is guilty of anything.

He wrote the article. He told everyone where he worked. He told everyone that he was interrogated by PI. There is much more that he put out there. If he didn't want anyone to see it then he shouldn't have posted it in the first place.

Yes but to be decent you could have taken out his place of employment before posting it.
