Wowzer the real one wrote: <quoted text> From what Renner posted it looked to me like LE have been very busy working on this case. Have the PI's been as busy? Weren't they the ones that lost the carpet samples? Working on the case, covering their asses, whatever you want to call it. The volunteer PI's? Yes, they had been very busy. Are you referring to the carpet the PI's, not the cops, originally obtained? The ones the cops wouldn't accept as evidence? I don't know if they "lost" them or not, but as far as i know they were submitted to a lab a very long time ago. Lost or not - PI's 1, Cops 0. I'm not here to argue, just stating my opinions on what may have happened, just like you are.

MM is missing; there is no evidence pointing to abduction, violence, homicide, or that she is a victim of a serial killer.

Maybe they wouldn't accept the carpet because it was contaminated like the knife was. If they had been called when the carpet was found instead of the carpet being cut up and handled by God knows how many people and been called to get the knife from the man that originally had it things may have been different. And didn't shack state that it was nothing more than menstrual blood possibley from a hamper? She should know since I believe it was a relative of hers that allowed them to go inside and gave them a key. She threw that bomb out and then disappeared and refused to answer any questions about it.

Not accepting evidence because "it might be contaminated" - if that was the reason - is terrible police work. If someone's DNA is on it, someone's DNA is on it. Yes, she did say it was "possibly" menstrual blood, which I don't believe that for a second, and that's not a reason to not have it tested. The ball has been dropped so many times in this investigation that I have no doubt most records are going to stay sealed until many people are retired and living in FL. The PI's aren't perfect by any means, but they have less of a reason to lie and cover things up.

Wowzer the real one wrote: <quoted text> Why are you sorry? For what? Why would you pass over info to a PI? Wouldn't it be wiser to pass it to LE working the case? I don't remember anyone telling you that you should make all your information public. What am I missing here? It didnt happen immediatly but as time went on we were told things through out the years of searching for Maura. PIs said what ever info was recieved by them would be turned over to LE. Remember the PIs were also investigating and working on Mauras case. People have claimed that family is hiding things and putting misinformation out. Some posters believe they should be privy to everything involving this case.
