Theres been previous talk about an earlier accident heard on a police scanner by a local woman.also,the damage to the hood may suggest it.Its all here in the forums somewhere.

I've wondered that, too. Unless she had it at the ATM or liquor store, and it was seen in video there, I don't know how they could have assumed she brought it with her.

There was a poster who claimed she heard a dispatch on the scanner of a previous accident. That accident was 15 to 30 minutes prior to Maura's accident. The assumption at the time was that it was Maura. Problem was, there was no record in the log that there was any such dispatch of anyone.

New Englanders are even called yanks by canadians! the curse word I used at the end described the one i was speaking to & it wasnt you..

I think I misunderstood Det Columbo's post. I thought he meant that because of what Whinston(?) said about airbags, that this had something to do with another crash.

Its an interesting scenerio to consider..what if she had an accident a bit earlier than the WB accident..Was it heard by a POI on a scanner&he responded?Followed or chased her to WB?Could this maybe be related to the red truck sightings.Maybe.

Is it possible there was/is a log error?At around that time there LE seemed to be driving around willie nillie.I wouldnt ixnay a first accident because of a missing log entry.

I believe Det. columbo once wondered on the forums if Maura had the WB accident because she was trying to drive with airbags deployed during the first accident.

Sorry Wowzer, but I just had to laugh at this post - seeing you say 'muthafuka' all gangsta style....not typical (that's what happens when I read the thread backwards. Shocked the living hell outta me.)

In all honesty, I'm afraid that the slew of swears and caboodle of curses in the recent posts (including the stealthily-astericked p-word) may result in this thread getting yanked (pun intended).

Hi all,just reading about airbag deployment and it seems that it is very loud and very dusty,I am this depends on the vehicle but most of the people say the car filled with dust or smoke and they wanted out of the car as soon as possible.Some say the interior of the car had to be completely cleaned after the deployment.So where was the saturn drivers coughing and choking experience atthe weathered barn.I am still wondering if there was one and if not it was because the bags deployed earlier and the driver was able to recover.I have been here every day and I a'int leaving.take care philip

Hey Philip, in the not so distant past I had an accident with an SUV--my side airbags ("curtains" as GM refers to them) inflated. It was neither loud nor dusty/powdery. It was a 2005 though, so perhaps the technology has changed.
