I agree with you that Fred seemed to dismiss discussion about life @ Amherst. I do wonder (and forgive me if this is covered ground, already): Do we know if he also kept the extended family (i.e, citigirl) and others initially helping out in the investigation (perhaps even the PIs) in the dark, about the CC fraud and/or any other perhaps 'negative' factoids? I can see why one wouldn't publicize Maura's messups, in the first couple days - after all, if she appeared, a little worse from wear, how mortifying to have her skeletons bared for all to see. But, as time went on (perhaps 3, 4 days) I would think that information would be willingly disseminated in the hopes of leaving no stone unturned.

The above post should read -I can see why one wouldn't publicize Maura's messups, in the first couple days - but I would think that info. would be readily passed on to the professionals and the PIs, and even to extended family. Just not necessarily something I would bring up with any reporter doing a piece on the case - at least, not initially.

There are some cases where you watch these parents openly admitting their children had issues with drugs, prostitution, etc., not to cast a negative light on their missing kids - but rather, because they want every viable avenue explored...and if you aren't looking in the right places, you won't find what you are looking for. As painful as I am sure it must be, at least they know that the right alleys are being scoured. And that's what they/we all really want - the truth.

The legendary history of the original MMM forum includes those admitted to the "inner circle"; they have always been "in the know", and have been tasked to divert from information about MM's life prior to her disappearance. They remain at work here today and every day.

The moderator(s) at that forum would toss out anyone straying from the discussion intended to reinforce the PR image of The All American Girl, and the violator would spend a "time out" in the Tot Tent. This, of course, in conjunction with a party-like atmosphere where virtual drinks were served up around the topic of Maura Murray Missing.

So how does one take these people seriously? How would one accept their answers to honest questions without further investigation and scrutiny?

The "campaign" is so extensive that it makes one wonder what is actually hidden from view. There is so much inaccurate and conflicting information floating out there....much of it intentionally driven by the original forum.

The rag: it was clean, minus the gook that was on the outside part of it. When rolled open, it was apparent it was more or less still white and likely never used. It was white until twisted/shoved into the tailpipe.

James Renner's "research" and "investigation" initially threw a curve ball at them, but otherwise, it's been business as usual; repetition of the same ideas and circling back to the same scenarios without proof of facts.

What shack says about the blood. I was here on the forum when Shack shuddered at the thought of Maura being held in that closet. She was right on topic and I can't blame her for saying that b/c at least two people from the seacrch party had told her this. Weeper for one on Advocates forum.

If it's not true, how can you blame her. People said it, she repeated.

To be clear. Two people who were at command central in 2006, came back with that on their minds. One of them was Silkyboxerz who was working the MMM forum and the case. She would have been the first to tell Shack, I'm betting my average here. Then Weeper, if he didn't share that info with all, he did later, on a public forum

No one should forget that Fred was adamant that "Maura disappeared from the car. Nothing else mattered" Another Shack childlike stupidity we have also heard her repeat. I am certain that his failure to not allow or answer questions about anything that preceded the crash impaired the investigators and the investigation. The investigators still had to investigate that aspect of the disappearance, and it would have taken considerably longer without his cooperation. To this day he repeats "it doesn't matter". Well he is likely right, at this point, it doesn't.

she surely isn't a blood expert. neither am i. neither are the PIs. that should fall into the realm of science.
and, look...it's been repeated so often that it's become part of the foundation of "facts".

Well, if what you´re stating here is indeed correct, it would seem that the rag must have been pushed into the tailpipe after the Saturn came to a stop by the WB curve.
That is the only feasible explanation for it to have been that clean.
Whether Maura for whatever reasons pushed the rag into the deep recesses of the tailpipe or someone else did, it surely must have been done after the crash, IMO.

This is the first time this has been mentioned. It's been talked and talked about and yet no one ever said where she got the information from. It seems there's a whole lot of information that people are sitting on and every once in awhile a little piece pops out.
Weeper would have had no way of knowing that unless the rug was tested and as far as we were told that never happened or did it?
Maybe it was tested and turned out to be nothing to do with MM but the questions and drama continued on anyway.

But Wowzer. Don't forget how many "brains" this information seems to have passed through. Was the initial information processed properly. Is there any proof that anything was done, correctly? I have no idea what was done, by who, what the real results were, etc. More bullshit to sort through. I mean, its not like these people haven't served up great big bullshit sandwiches in the past. We don't even know if there was any blood. Remember, the report was "the dogs went bonkers" Who said that, Shack? Was that the interpretation of the handlers, or some layperson who didn't have a clue what they were seeing. It's like trying to nail jello to the wall with these people. Especially some of these P.I.s. and it is even worse with some of the hangers on like Shack. Those people that think they are in the know but are on the periphery.

Remember, Shack knows that Maura was murdered. I can only assume that it happened in the hamper in the closet of that house. Because that is where the blood was found. We know that because we were told the dogs went bonkers.

Q. Who put the rag in the tailpipe? Perhaps Maura with the intention that it would prevent the car from starting up if someone came along and tried to take it for a joyride.

Q. Why did the SAR dog lose the scent near BHR? Perhaps the vehicle she was in turned around at BHR and headed back the other way (west). Maybe that's why the area east of BHR wasn't searched that night. The police might have passed a vehicle on the way to the accident scene and thought it could have picked up the girl and choose to pursue that possibility.

Q. Why has there been no information on the 2 samples of carpet? It's part of an on-going investigation.
