I think new people think the rag could be important because it's a piece of the puzzle that doesn't make any sense. Who puts a rag in a tailpipe and why? I still don't understand it, but I now understand that there are probably no answers. But that is why I tried to figure it out.
I speculate that others think it is important because it is the closest thing they have to evidence that could prove their personal theories. Blame the person who found the rag, how did they know about the rag, etc. I do not subscribe to those theories, but I can understand that it would be important to rule out who found the rag and why IF there was reason to suspect that the person who found the rag might have had something to do with Maura's disappearance. I would also think this would have been figured out long ago and put to rest, but hey, what do I know.:-)

Now, I understand it is a missing woman & the circumstances are different, but IMHO, and that is what it is, just MHO, those certain types of Admins are usually never allowed unless LE has set it up that way. You can give people that power, but should ONLY be given to LE!! IMHO..
I have owned many websites for my music & the music of others, so that we could do shows around the US & even in the UK.. Plus we held competitions, & the ONLY thing that was ever used, & was in the terms of agreement, was that in voting on a match that had taken place, your IP "could" be checked if it was thought that you were using alias to vote for yourself. The reason being that these "rap battle competitions '8 mile anyone'" were for alot of money. The GRB's which is held twice a year on rapmusic website, the winner gets in access of $1,000.00 & an interview in a magazine & a song put on a highly distrubuted Mix CD..
Unless these people were being told in the user agreement when joining, this was a clear invasion of privacy! Reading others private messages without permission is highly un-respected in the general world of ownign websites.. My spelling might not be the best (there is no spell check here) but I have done sites for my local doctor, computer repair center, lots of local business'.. I enjoyed it, but got out of it very quick because of that simple fact, privacy laws & what people wanted & didnt want..
I can provides links to vBulletin dot com & dot org where in the early 00's, I designed templates & installed their boards on servers. Most of the time I would take out that option in the PHP files, then to double check I made sure in the MySQL..
