She even had access to passwords, could read private Pm's, see what was being forwarded to PI's etc. She was right there for many a search. I don't know how she did it, b/c in the end, she had no right, no credentials. No offence meant to all who will that she RIP. It's just that she told people things, right or wrong, correct or misinfo, and I feel that Shack was fed a line or two and i would know.
I remember one of the good things Silky did was take the pictures available at the time to a place where she super enlarged them onto a movie screen and gave a lot of information concerning the interior ortherwise not available.

I haven't been here long, but I've learned a few things from your posts. You've helped me make sense of some of the history of these forums, so thank you for that. It's confusing coming in here as a new poster, not understanding the backstory and why so many are so angry. I have had a lot of questions over the past couple of weeks and I am appreciative of the people who have taken time to clear up some of it. Thank you again.

<quoted text>Not sure. He may have witnessed something prior, or I thought the rag, just a twisted tiny glimpse of it was all. The car did mave to be out of the "ditch" and paralell to the road, where he could have an easy look. The rag was after all, white, and I'd wager he's hunker down some and see it. JMO
Who told you the rag was white? Not saying you are right or wrong. I don't remember ever hearing a color. Or is this more feature creep?

<quoted text>Lots of good info here. Thanks for taking the time. I agree and have NO CLUE why Helena let this go on with a regular citizen. She DID present herself as something more, and they DID NOT realize she was finding out the "topest of top" secret info until another PI confronted Helena.
Your very welcome, Im a happy that I could contribute in some way that may be helpful to others in this case! It makes me feel good about myself, & sometimes "in my mind & heart" hopes that I can do good things to make up for the bad..

This might sound stupid, but who is Helena? & Why in the world would she let people that werent LE, read private messages from PI & quite possible LE? Would that "Hinder" the investigation by giving out knowledge to people that might would compromise the case? That sounds like something I might would have done as a young man, just so I could "take justice in my own hands", & older people should know better..

If locals dont mind me asking.. Is this what helped cause this "witch-hunt" up here? If so, to be totally honest, the "mental anquish" that was caused by the reading of private messages, & knowing names of POI's, is higly illegal, & could be proven under certain laws because in a case where someone is missing & presumed met with foul play, the servers are kept & stored & could always be suppoenaed (spelling)...

To be quite Frank... I think that the use & mis-use of all that private information probably compromised much in this case, & they have no one to blame but said people mentioned..

This sounds like a valid possibility to you? To what ends?

Just to make sure I understand this. He snatches a pretty girl off the street. Gets away with it. And as what, a victory dance of some type, he shoves a rag up her tailpipe? Really? And I can't stress this enough. WHY?

And even if he did and I am not conceding for a split second that this happened. How does this help you?

Hi all ,IF the car was driven with a rag in the tailipe it would stall the car and would at a minimum the rag would be scorched.MrRenner reported that the rag was way down in the tailpipe so how did sgtSmith know it was there.Mcsmom, i think mentioned it may have been giving off an odor.Bill have you ever heard of a police officer asking emergency responders to stay away from an abandoned car. If you want to either stall or stop a car from being driven later the rag has to be pushed down to the first bend in the pipe.In one report Mr.Lavoie 'told MrMurray later about the rag'.Was Mr.Lavoie asked to repair the car. That would be interesting to know.I still don't know how long the saturn was at Lavoies.Fallon411 posted way back that he saw the car at a lot in Bath after feb 09 2004.Thank god it was never crushed.I am not here to argue or bicker or quote British tv shows or talk about food.take care philip

I was lazy and didn't want to type out a scenario on why the rag in the tail pipe would debunk an LE abduction, but this would be my scenario to show why it didn't happen.

If you own, or have been made an Admin of a site such as that one or any vB (v-Bulletin) pro-board, blog, wordpress, etc; You can set your priviledges to read all private messages,(which is ethically wrong, considered "nosy" but under the circumstances of the case, "could" be understood of why), all IP addresses, etc. You can see the proxies people use, & everytime they log in, where they are logging into, etc; Some people like to play "god" on those type of forums..
I have a lifetime membership/ownership of a vB board.. Even though I havent personally put up a website using one since 2007, I do know that when installing, that was the first thing I did in the MySQL settings, was to take those type of "spying" priviliges away from other people..
Now, I understand it is a missing woman & the circumstances are different, but IMHO, and that is what it is, just MHO, those certain types of Admins are usually never allowed unless LE has set it up that way. You can give people that power, but should ONLY be given to LE!! IMHO..
I have owned many websites for my music & the music of others, so that we could do shows around the US & even in the UK.. Plus we held competitions, & the ONLY thing that was ever used, & was in the terms of agreement, was that in voting on a match that had taken place, your IP "could" be checked if it was thought that you were using alias to vote for yourself. The reason being that these "rap battle competitions '8 mile anyone'" were for alot of money. The GRB's which is held twice a year on rapmusic website, the winner gets in access of $1,000.00 & an interview in a magazine & a song put on a highly distrubuted Mix CD..
Unless these people were being told in the user agreement when joining, this was a clear invasion of privacy! Reading others private messages without permission is highly un-respected in the general world of ownign websites.. My spelling might not be the best (there is no spell check here) but I have done sites for my local doctor, computer repair center, lots of local business'.. I enjoyed it, but got out of it very quick because of that simple fact, privacy laws & what people wanted & didnt want..
I can provides links to vBulletin dot com & dot org where in the early 00's, I designed templates & installed their boards on servers. Most of the time I would take out that option in the PHP files, then to double check I made sure in the MySQL..
All just MHO!
Ok, I am going to say something that I have been thinking for some time now. Something with you does not add up. First I will start off with your grammar. In this post that I have quoted, you make very few grammatical errors. In some of your posts in the past you make a shit ton of them. This alone doesn't really mean much to me even though you just stated "no spell check here".

Next is your IT knowledge. I have 10 years experience in the IT field, and what you have posted here about vB, IP addresses and mysql db's is mostly correct. But just the other day you said you don't know how to make a video a "you tube". BS Emmitt. You said you haven't created a website using vB since 2007 but don't know how to upload a video file to youtube? I don't believe that for one second.

I can't tell why you are keeping up this dumb hill-billy act.

You're right, of course the rag matters! If Maura placed it in there because she *thought* it would prevent the car from starting up and being stolen, that probably means that she hoped to have a car to come back to (later on or the next morning). Because the Bloodhound could only track her scent 100 yards up the road, that most likely means she got in a car and that it probably turned around at BHR and headed back towards Woodsville. Because she's not here today, she probably met with foul play.
I just want to know who MURDERED her!
Just Me, do you think the rag just happened to catch CS's eye while using his flashlight to do a cursory examination of the crash site and the damage to the Saturn -- nothing more?
your post is all bullsh*t.
oh, please. it's doubtful she would give a hoot whether her POS car would be stolen. inane banter.
well, maybe you'll defrost before you find out who 'MURDERED" her,'cause there is no evidence to suggest a murder has taken place.

The only cases that I can ever remember being kept away from the car by the police, was because they were planning on have a canine come in to try to track. Usually we are telling the cops to move back because of downed power-lines.

Right again, but it's too late, Beth has passed away in Dec 07. Helena is MM distant Aunt by marriage to a Dwyer. Beth was not supposed to abuse her privalges, but she did and used it to come on like she was ahead of the game on her own searches/results. Helena sought this person out though. This I will never understand why.

Touched a nerve did I? I'm sure the Saturn had some trade-in value and she probably didn't want it stolen. But rag on! Snoozy; most of us have become adept at scrolling past your incoherent scribblings.

Of course she was murdered.

And yes, I see what Det. Combo means. Columbo. Combo #4 with an extra egg-roll please!
