I just wonder why this took so long to come out and why the dispatch log does not reflect this either. they say - car in the road too.so that leads me to believe....... what changes if the car was in the YARD? nothing except unwarranted suspicion to the land owner.. I do NOT want that to happen. but I know others will come to that conclusion because it has never been discussed since I have been around. So why now? If I knew something was that off - base and was reported time and time again.. I would have said something.. like i did with londonberry ( i know derry - i like it as londonberry):-) Whats the payoff to bring it up now? And why for so many years did you have to keep it a secret? I am just curious. You know I like you.. It is just very strange to me. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhh finally .......... BTW Dawn......Maura locked herself out of her car before the holidays long before she had AAA.

It was said Fred followed her from CT to within 100 miles of MA in case it had to be towed! She broke down at school it was towed to the parking lot where it sat cause she refused to drive to the store! She was getting rides from friends! But she emails her prof. taking off for a family death hops on the interstate and drives 3 1/2 hours! 2 + 2 = 4 but 2 + 2 here makes WHAT EVER NUMBER YOU WANT! Well, imagine the coincidence of my reading this question at the same time that I'm cleaning documents off my "old" computer....one of these many documents consists of all of Sharon's posts from the first and second Maura Murray forum...
These are two of Sharon's postings, made at separate times, about this subject:

now.......... I wasn't around to know when sharon posted this but it totally contradicts what she says on ID. Since we can see its Sharon talking - I am taking her word on ID. She bought the AAA for Christmas ( BECAUSE SHE WAS HAVING CAR DIFFICULTY) IN FACT BOUGHT THE LONG DISTANCE TOWING.) now lady gray says she didn't have car trouble until January..
that makes NO sense.

Others went by her!! Atwood states that! So if she was in the road why wasn't there a massive pile up? There isn't a HUGE side on these roads! The distance between the road and private property was SMALL! They took some of the land owner property and now there is a small space then it goes into a DITCH which butts private property so there is a place for the snow to be pushed! The rest I thought was pretty well nailed down - at least where the car was located. the police report clearly shows the road.

This to me is one item we should be able to nail down to a 1+1= 2. Where was the car? Without a driver this is not a GREY issue - not even in the slightest enth degree. It can't be. It is black and white down to a millimeter - the actual position of the car is not negotiable. Without a driver - that car ain't moving. period. So ... since we all know it cant move on its own - and the driver is GONE with the keys. Where was the car? If it was on the lawn. What payoff would anyone have - and there are alot of careers here at stake. le, journalist, marrottes, sbd etc.. Why change a hard known fact - 6 years later.
a) to disrupt people are getting to close the real truth......( ricky's post)
b) to disrupt - red herring - intentionally
c) poster honestly believes this changed - somehow?

STOP .. this is not right. because its a concrete fact that could not be changed. now it changed? WW, you are going to need to try to explain this one. At least in CT you own the property to the road in most cases but the state/town has right of way for feet from the center-line of the road onto your property. Technically you own that property unless the town takes it to increase road width, etc. Are you writing that the "front yard" is the property where the trees are located up to the street or are you actually stating on the front lawn, proper? That would be very different from the police report and what we have been reading for years.
Please try to help clarify your post. I think it is confusing many of us.

to add to WTF post.... most importantly - is this just semantics???????? if it is.. i'm frustrated. because if we have everyone calling it the side of the road and one person calling it a front yard private property......... Really- the only thing that matters - IS what? whats the point. I am a tad bit grumpy today and it really irritates me if this is said just to 'spin". and why. if we are just calling the same piece of dirt - side of road/private property - just say so.. if front lawn proper - that is different.
i still do NOT see how this changes ANYTHING but derailment and WW i worry because it does make one question credibility.. you got upset about it.. if we are just calling the same piece of dirt a differnt name..then whats the big diff?

Same in NH so you are right! She hit those trees and had backed around and was pull off to the side of the road when Atwood came upon the accident she was private property/right of way of the road! But the point being missed is she LOCKED THE CAR and WALKED AWAY of her own free will after causing damage to someone's property! Rather it large or small! It's against the law to LEAVE THE SCENE of and ACCIDENT involving PRIVATE PROPERTY! I love how you heard for how long she never just left!
