What's a CDL? I think that clearly Fred is a prime suspect in this thing. His whole behavior through this thing has been strange to say the least. It's very possible that opposed to an abusive bf he could've gotten physical with her that night. I've heard it said that night she went to the hotel room that there was a physical altercation, I've also heard that fred was once charged with domestic violence and that was the reason for his divorce. This is obviously rumor at this point but there's been "crazy" rumors that turned out to be true, such as the cc fraud arrest and her having another bf(the coach) Then consider the fact that pretty much no one reports seeing or hanging out with Maura on Sunday or Monday during the day, it's possible she was trying to hide something & he is the one who said he would pay for the condo and told her to find it. There's something strange about him, cant put my finger on it but honestly after watching the disappeared again I can't shake the feeling that he's acting the whole time. I know he's Lost his daughter and theres no handbook telling you how to deal with it but he just acts differently than every other parent that's been on that show, & every parent I've previously seen with a missing child. I guess it's fucked up to say this about a grieving dad but honestly he looks like he's too distraught, almost as if he wants to make sure that you know he's "sad" or something like that. Other problem is the fact that he was out of communication for 2 days, until late Tuesday nite when he first found out. Highly suspicious considering the fact that he clearly states that Maura was suppose to call him Monday nite after 8 to fill out the accident reports with him! So what you tell maura to call u so u can help her with the accident reports bc your gonna b around but then she goes missing and the cops can't get ahold of you for 2 days? That makes absolutely no sense at all, does it? Its not like he told her to call him on Wednesday bc he was gonna b out of communication for 2 days..no, he told her to call him. So why couldn't LE get ahold of him?? Then he describes driving "all night" to get there in the morning. It does not take all night to get there from Bridgeport I've done that drive hundreds of times & trust me, if you daughter is missing and you drive 90+ mph the whole way there u can get there in about 3 hours, probably a little longer than that but I hope u get what I'm saying. I just feel like he's trying to dramatize it. I almost feel like that's why he chose to do disappeared, so people could see how distraught he is over the whole thing. One thing that strikes me odd about his appearance is the whole time he's looking down as he tells his tale. He keeps looking down and away, just kinda looks like he's lying to me. If I had the money I'd love to hire a body language expert to analyze his interviews on the show. I think it's at least obvious that he knows something more than he's letting on but what? Is he actually the perp? That would be fucked but unfortunately going by the #'s it's way more likely that he harmed her than a stranger.

Someone had stated that the defense's argument was persuasive - but in a case like this, the potential for a future prosecution is a tantalizing prospect for the State to dangle in front of the Judge, to really bolster their argument. I'm not surprised Fred lost. just finished listening to parts 2+3. i was unimpressed that the judge considered it a burden to do an in-camera review of all the documents, if necessary, to determine which to release. nancy smith was not as persuasive, imo, as was the atty. for fred murray. they recessed at the end of part 3 without presenting a final judgment. is that what you heard, a well?

Maybe Fred suggesting the FBI being called is all an act too, He knows the FBI isn't going to take over this case. The FBI jas specific guidelines for their cases and this case does not meet them. The only reason they would come in is if Nh specifically asked them to, which je knows they won't do. There's no need for it, the nhsp has enough resources to investigate this case. There is no federal crime being broken here, this is a local missing persons case. If Fred is responsible what a great idea, suggest bringing in the FBI so u dont look guilty to the public while knowing full well that the FBI is ne'er going to be in charge of this case, that's just ridiculous. So no, he didn't "call the FBI on himself", that's impossible. He told the media that the FBI should be brought in, big difference. This was all durin the time that je wouldn't sit down for a formal interview w LE. So u won't even do a real interrogation w LE but u want the FBI brought in? Come on

Somebody called Maura´s cell phone @8.10 pm. Possibly Fred trying to reach her after she didn´t call at 8 as promised? So is it really believable he sat idle until reached by NH LE late Tuesday afternoon and did not try to find Maura, calling friends or anything?

Wowzer the real one wrote: <quoted text> She's not kidding Amy. In the old MMM forum there was a group of people that took pleasure in blaming and bashing the locals. When the bashing got too out of hand or named locals were being blamed the moderator Helena would send them to the TOT (Time out tent). Bob the bartender would serve up virtual drinks in the tent. One person did such a good job of bashing that she would happily go to the tot before being asked by moderator. She continues to this day when she gets a chance and recently stated she stands behind everything she says. It was a game from the beginning, by the very ones that claimed they were searching for what happened to Maura, at the expense of the the people of NH. Hope that this will help everyone understand why some feel the way they do. OMFG!! It's like some Norman Bates / Waxworks / Perfect Host stuff!! Wow!! Was this also in like real life?? WTF! Good way to find out clues.. & im a "hillbilly"?? Thats like some wrongturn backwords redneck stuff rightchonder!! Seriously grown people in a tot tent with virtual drinks? Did they have a virtual psycologist also?

I said this above bit felt it should be said again in it's own post: Why wasn't Fred available until late Tuesday nite? Why couldn't the cops get ahold of him? He was supposedly working but something doesn't make sense: He specifically says that he told Maura to call him Monday nite after 8 so he could help her fill out the accident forms. So that means he was supposed to be available, right? Its not like he told her to call him in Wednesday because he was gonna b busy working, no, he told her to call him Monday nite. So why would he tell Maura he was gonna be around and then when police are trying to contact him he's nowhere to be found for almost 2 days?? That is highly suspicious in my eyes I would bet that for LE he is the prime suspect in this case

Simply Sarcasm wrote: <quoted text> Okay, I wanted to make sure before I commented further. I don't get that whole thing - that 'Simply goes over to the warm ol' fire and snuggles up' and such. Maybe it's just me, but such descriptive writing is better left to.....well, fiction. --- I'm very glad you've been explaining some things lately. It really clarifies (at least for me) and gives better insight into how things play out, now. my overall impression is that these 'rituals' were inappropriate and unusual. they were apparently used to shape and reinforce groupthink, and also to selectively punish and remove posters from the conversation to prevent honest inquiry. WTH, right? who would think this stuff up?

I have seen parents come unhinged when they lose a child, or when someone harms their child. I have also seen parents of true criminals, not the minor stuff Maura did, in complete and total denial. It's impossible to say how a person will react to losing their child, as there is no "normal". This is just my opinion, but my heart says he is a grieving dad who is angry that he can't get answers. But like I said, anything is possible.

Fred called Tuesday evening around 5pm twice, leaving urgent messages to be called back before anyone in Le would call him back.
