The RED TRUCK and the occupant(s)are the missing piece of this mystery.

I do not believe that truck was from Mass. I believe it had NH temp plates.

That has been my theory also Mcsmom about the Westmans snowbank. It is a difficult corner and it was said Maura hadn't really traveled that part of 112. The lines on the road are very hard to see at night especially in winter. Maura may have been over the line and an on coming vehicle clipped the snowbank to avoid her. we are unaware of anyone coming forward to say that occurred however and as I have stated before, I doubt if tire tracks were examined. JMO
Maybe why the troopers were walking three abreast at the curve following the accident, to try and simulate the width of an oncoming truck???? IDK.

I wonder where all the haters are these days??? Typically would have been skewered for these posts by now.

with all respect wth, Columbo did say damage to the drivers side and not the passenger side.
When he refers to "right front drivers side" that is inconsistent with the impact point which is left front drivers side. Right front drivers side isn't the passenger area, you are correct. My mistake.

Would you consider VT temp plates as a possibility as well?

Mom- Not sure where they are. Last week when Jenkins was posting with the "Haters" as you call them about a possible Vasi connection I don't remember any of the "non haters" partaking in the conversation. I think with too little facts it is easy to get side tracked and get into arguements and pissing contests.

I hope/wish someone could put together a sequence of events like a reenactment of what we know actually happened. By doing this we could use more brain power to look for more plausable reasons of what happened.

I did check on that and I believe they were blue on white plates in 2004, but I will look in My files.

Wouldn't tracking a vehicle that is a truck? Red? and has temp plates be pretty easy to do? How many temp plates are out there on Red trucks at the time?

Yes I do and maybe that is what she wanted to happen. If she was a victim of Domestic Violence then she would be very sad and maybe even hurt too many times and this was the last straw. I wish we knew and I wish her good friends would talk to Mr. Renner. They must know something.
OR , Maybe she stopped somewhere (country store) and someone else put the rag in the exaust pipe , then followed her until her car was disabled or she got sick from the carbon monoxide and went off the road .

Do you have a link to a pic of VT temp. plate from 2004? That'd really help.

Did you interview the lady who saw the truck? Just curious what else she might have said, how long she was there, etc.

2008 Vt temp plates were red numbers white background. Don't know the year they switched from green to red.

No temp. 2004 plates & they all appear to be for passenger vehicles.

Perhaps commercial vehicles had a different color of temp. plate?

Am I the only one seeing the simple solution? Can't you go to the DMV ask for all TEMP plates of red trucks for the last 30 days (which is the duration of a temp plate) of the sighting of this truck. The list of trucks would not be that long that would fit this discription.

This is an easy thing to track because the DMV keeps records.

I saw that written out somewhere. That is is Katherleen. But I don't know now, maybe it's the accent, the way people say her name that made this person correct the spelling. I've looked for that post or article a couple of times....

I am sorry guys, my counts went down and I haven't felt well enough to get out and get a picture.

Let's see if I can explain it. At first I thought it had a little window and then I saw the truck. It was the body on the truck that had the smaller window if that makes sense. The sides were wood slats. It was not diesel. I would have remembered that for sure. But please remember, I could have been wrong about the plates - according to the pd. You guys really got to see this truck....I will try and find it and take a picture. It was exactly the same, it was incredible. It was definitely a work truck.
