Isn't going to happen. Bill Yes thats the reality of it. But are you suggesting that with the resources there this wasnt treated as a mp case but rather "another person sliding off the road and getting a ride"? At some point in time... LE knew the severity of this case so. From that moment on im sure they would have used every reasonable resource to find Maura. It appears they did.

Was this a mistake on your part or did someone really see her 500 feet away from the car? Trying to separate truth from another turd tossed over the wall is a full time job with you. If someone was stupid enough to believe you. It's not me you need to worry about. I know you too well and can smell bullshit a mile away. Bill

JWB,i dont understand her statement...Did she see somebody besides LE at the scene? Why is she talking about a snow plower?

Consider this wrote: Maura was last seen approx. 500 FT. FROM THE CORNER EAST OF THE SCENE. DC see her 500 feet away from the car WTH It would be a lot more accurate and less confusing to just say "last seen at her car" if that is what he means. As usual, he confuses things rather than simplifying it. And 500 feet from the corner east of the scene is not where the car was. Her last known location was at the car. If that is what he meant, it would have been very simple to say that. Bill

You can go back to the socco mag for the article. The only thing she saw was a red truck on BHR with pass door open. The two individuals she refers to were two in town that were supposedly bragging about the incident. Other locals suspected them as well.Another poster here on topix has also referenced this in the past from his point of view.

something is confusing here on renners Blog: Maura supervisors statement: “I think around 10:30, 10:40, I got down to the southwest area and I checked in with the supervisors, there,” recalls Mayotte.“One of them said,‘Something’s up with Maura.’ She had been crying. I went to see what was up.” This is the her supervisors recollection of timeline from Renners Blog. Not long after this maura was escorted to her room. This confuses me as this says she would have been back at her dorm room when the whole Vasi thing took place at approx 12:20?? Her supervisor later talks about it being impossible because she was working and the time frame wouldn't have worked. Am I missing something?

She was only approx. 500 FT from the corner and the darkness.

Why does she need to slip past Atwood? I wonder why she would be in stealth mode? Why head east when she knows the civilization is west? She just went through the area. She knows that there are places to call for help on payphones. Places to stay the night. Why head off into the night into an area she doesn't know? Seems pretty irresponsible. Unless, she had bigger concerns or a totally different agenda? Bill

She was last seen at the car.
It is my understanding dogs followed her scent approx 500 ft from the car. The scent then disappeared as if she got into a car.

The dog followed her scent approx 300 feet +/- east and then the dog lost the scent. Knowing the dog handler I suspect she did a lost track search and still couldn't pick up the scent. Whether it was because the scent trail just was too dispersed or because she got into a car is entirely up for debate. I had never heard there was more than one dog on that search. Anyone hear of more than one dog on that search? Bill

That would pretty much eliminate her walking into the woods and freezing to death right? Ro would have seen her at the store using the pay phone When RO was leaving or at the stage shop. FD and EMS would have come across her if she was going East ?

Keepthesearchalive wrote: <quoted text> She didnt want to get in more trouble im sure. If she did go east... whats the terrain like? Is it possible to get lost in that particular area? On the road, the terrain is asphalt. 8-) Starts off level near a river for miles but then does start to climb. After height of land at Kinsmans notch, near Lost River, is reached the route proceeds downhill the rest of the way to North Woodstock. About 17 miles total trip. Assuming she stayed on Rt 112. She would probably have to go off road to get really lost. There are not than many major roads in that area. She also might have been spotted near the intersection of rt 112 and rt 116, again, not verified but someone was seen in that area. It is also possible if she got hypothermic she did wander off road. If she did, she might not be found for years. It has happened before. Bill
