I just have to say that one of the funniest things I read here is the theory that the State Trooper may have been involved.
Now, I know that no one here knows him, so to you he is just a name. I get that, but to someone who knows him, pretty well in fact, the idea is so preposerous I can't fully explain.
Again, to you he is just a name, "yeah maybe the Trooper was involved!!" lol, but to anyone who knows John, worked with him, knows his family, it's just absurd.
See, these are the things that don't relate well when discussing random facts on an un-moderated forum. Thats why although there is an element of entertainment here, it's so unrealistic that nothing of value can be gained by this form of discussion.
Thank You!
ThanknYou!
I do wonder, Det Columbo, do you know Trooper Monahan? In the course of your 'investigation', have you spoken to his friends, family, co-workers? Has Renner for that matter?
Do you have any comment on my statement above?
The McKay issue I can't even begin to address, what did someone call him, a "rogue cop"? lol. Yeah sure.
Iagree. Thank You.

I see he formed this educated opinion from 500 miles away, with no background or information whatsoever. Never knew Bruce, Liko, never been here at all.

Douchebag is being kind, in my opinion.

This clearly puts you in the category of troll. No one, could think that douche-baggary this grand could be reasonable. You have nothing to prove your statements about harassment and even if they were true the penalty isn't being shot in the back by a POS butt wipe. Floyd has his problems, but on that day he did the right thing. No one can take that away from him.

If you read message boards and newspaper comments, you will see all of the time when people are convicted of crimes or even suspected, the commentators are expressing their opinion that they got what they deserved or that she should fry, or be tortured, etc. While purely speculation, I highly doubt you would be rushing to their defense. So why in this case? Because it is law enforcement that is being questioned? Double standard much? While you may not agree with the opinion that said officer "got what was coming to him", to act like it is an outrageous and trollish statement is ludicrous at best. You are smarter than that.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that is how the FBI works for the most part...
The state would have to call the FBI, yes.
But then the FBI has jurisdiction. It need not be a kidnapping just a "mysterious disappearance".

You do have a point. I do believe Confucius once said, "I hear, I know. I see, I remember. I do, I understand. But only if I am within 500 miles of it".

You are right, there is no difference. And in fact, as you put it, I hate 'double standards', I sincerely hope that YOU die a long, painful, excruciating death.

Wowzer,
Just to try to straighten things out a bit if at all possible:
Was NH State Trooper JKM on duty or not at the time of Mauraīs accident?
Does anyone know for sure or at least with reasonable certainty???
Thanks!
I don't know for sure. I don't see where it matters though whether he was onduty or off and on his way home. It's not uncommon for local police to help SP and SP to help local. The towns are within feet of each other in that area with SP jurisdiction in one and local PD in the next. He may just have told the local PD he'd keep an eye out for the driver in his travels and then happened upon RO.
I think being a family man with an unblemished record and respected by the community should take any suspicion off of him but who knows, it seems some here have started a new past time of pin the tail of suspicion on anyone that has ever had any involvement in trying to help Maura Murray the night she crashed or anyone in the vicinity that was ever arrested in the past.Or anyone that looked crosseyed or winked at someone in the past.
All this has been done before more than once.

People's names get dragged through the mud until cases like these get solved all the time. In some instances Ive seen libel suits filed by people who haved openly accused others of a crime on Topix.

Whether its on topix or in a bar room or church... its going to happen unfortunately.

The best way to stop it is to solve it.

If the police have a suspect and can't charge... I see no reason why they wouldn't have said so.

Also if Maura Murray had been "disappeared" by a branch of Justice. All investigations would have been closed within 90 days.

I see no chance of it.

Her parents would know and would not be looking for her publicly.

This girl had such a myriad of pressure on her. I keep looking at those photos of her and when I see such an apparent change.

I equate it with certain very bad behaviors.

I'll keep saying a prayer.

Another one Ill address for entertainment purposes only: Aliens.

There isnt a mp case ive looked into amongst thousands where "aliens" werent mentioned.

If you choose not to believe me or accept anything else I type.

ALIENS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH MAURA MURRAYS DISAPPEARANCE.

I promise.

Wowzer,
Look - I just asked an honest question, as it for some reason seems nearly impossible to make sure whether JKM was on duty or not at the time in question.
Lately there have been some unverified information on this board about JKM possibly being on duty at the time of Mauraīs accident (with a reference to having been coming from Lisbon,NH, through Swiftwater).
Where did this supposed information originate?
I havenīt seen it before.
Also, it has been said many times on this board and other places that the reason why JKM never - apparently - filed a formal report for the night of February 9th 2004 was that he was not required to do so as he - supposedly - was not on duty at the time, but just happened to pass by.
I just find these inconsistencies somewhat frustrating...
Thatīs all.

The good news is that each of us dies only once, and that includes McKay, much to he chagrin of a few posters here. It's Interesting that dead men are even being accused.

And I thought I gave you an honest answer. I said I didn't know for sure but I still wonder what difference it makes if he was off or on duty.
Someone recently said that the trooper was at a motel after the accident for 2 hours. This poster had two different officers confused but still went on a rant about how bad he was when in reality it wasn't him at all. I've been a part of and reading these forums since they started and I've seen more fabrications and outright lies in the past couple of weeks than I care to count.
The inconsistencies started a long time ago and have frustrated many of us that have been here for some time.
I haven't heard anything either about any officer coming from Lisbon and being on duty. Ask the person that first mentioned it to provide a link to their source. Bet they can't provide it.

Change of subject: Could the reason they searched west but not east of the accident scene be they got witness information, never made public, that she entered a vehicle going west? Ok, going to get a basket to collect the nuts...

Thinking about SBD and how some people have felt he made conflicting statements or may have not been telling the truth. Maybe he was the witness to Maura being picked up, and was told by LE not to tell? It would explain the dog tracking her scent to SBDīs driveway. She might have entered a vehicle at that spot and gone west.

The statement he made is so stupid, so outrageous, that it serves no purpose but to provoke an avalanche of responses. By definition, that it what a trolls purpose is. So again, by definition, that makes him a troll.
