Bill Bill this post is ridiculous..your either blind, or your lying..judging by the fact that u forgot how many houses u said u owned I'm kind o leaving towards the latter. How could u possibly classify the red truck in the same category as Bigfoot? Just the fact u would say that shows your not being truthful here. It wasn't just some truck driving by, wtf r u talking about? It was in the same area at the same time yes, but it was looking for someone.. Someone in particular. How can u just write this off? It was also spotted by someOne else on bhr with it's door open & out of the truck. This was strange enough to inspire the person to tell LE about it that nite. So we have 2 separate witnesses, independent of each other, both reporting very strange behavior that note by this truck. This truck was not just passing through the area, r u serious? There was several vehicles that passed through and qe aren't talking about them. This truck was doing something weird and now Maura is missing, u do the math. Anyone with half a brain can out 2 & 2 together. Why your choosing to pretend that this is in the same category as Bigfoot I'm not really sure but u clearly have no credibility when it come to this. Judging by the conditions, snowpack and what LE has said, yes it is way more likely she got abducted by the red truck then got lost in the woods. Take your head out of the sand man

Bill who said anybody believed what psychic sez said? Not me? I said it sounded plausible and in all likelihood something like this probably happened, which is true. Maira did not enter the woods near the crash scene. There's more than enough reasons to think that's a total load of bull. I seriously question anybodies motives for comic on here day after day for years to try to convince people of that. What r u trying to prove? Do I really believe people don't get abducted every day? I kind of hate to bring this up, but I've decided to. The other night I went to see my youngest son after work. He's 29. He wanted to go to the store, so off we went. We're leaving the gas station when whoooooah, bright lights, way to bright and I fumbled with my rear view mirror to make it turn upward, get rid of the glare. I started to pull over, it was that bad. It was an officer and a ride along 15 year old girl. He made me get out and do a field test whick I failed. I was in tennis shoes, not my usual boots. No laces on these tennis shoes either and inserts making me walk funny. I said I was tired. He asked me to do the breatalizer, so i happily did. Nothing. So he waves his fingers so close to my eyes, it's like trying to ward off a knat or a bee. My eyes must have jerked and not followed his finger, i flunked that one too. Next thing I know he says I'm under arrest for DWI, but doesn't recite the miranda. Oh my Lord. He told my son to call someone and get him since he's not allowed to drive and has whiskey plates on his car. I've been stopped almost 9 times because of the whiskey plates on the car I have no choice but to drive for now. Anyway, off to Mercy hospital we went for a blood test. Enough about me, there's a reason for this intro. Maura may have been taken in for a blood test. Family would not be privy to this info. Citations can sometimes come later in the mail. Just like the officer drove me home, did he let Maura go too. I'm not expecting this to go anywhere, I do't drink and I only take a couple/few (depending) pills per day, and 1 at night. Side note. The officer didn't buckle me up. And I got my hands out of the handcuffs rather easily. I said I didn't like being treated like a criminal and I wasn't going to sit like that.

Anybody comparing the red truck to Bigfoot is seriously just making things up to try to make people look stupid, but dealt making themselves look wicked stupid in the process. I would advise everyone to question any posts made by someone making that comparison. If they're willing to lie and make ridiculous statements like that about this, how can we trust anything said by that person? We can't

He's still very young. It shows. Lol, funny way to try to discredit me. For the record I'm 32 right now and my gf is a 25yr old grad student at UMass right now. When Maura went missing I was living in campton(just south of Lincoln) & I had to drive to vt every week, sometimes twice, for work. I took 112 every time, it is the fastest way to get into vt from that area. So I def wasn't 10 or 12, that's funny u would say that. Pretty weak attempt to try to docredit me anyways bc it doesn't really matter how old someone is, it matters what's they're saying. So about a week after she went missing I was driving 112 specifically looking for spots where someone was likely, or able to get in the woods. I can tell u for a fact that there are very few spots that there's easy entrance into those woods. There's a lot of spots where it is technically possible, but unlikely for anyone to try it, & there's a bunch of spots where it's flat out impossible to enter the woods, such as about 98% of the river. But again just the sheer fact of what the river sounds and looks like it makes it extremely unlikely anyone would risk trying to cross it to enter the woods. Anybody suggesting that it is a likely route of travel is either lying or needs to have their head examined. The chances she's in those woods r slim, the cops did multiple searches looking for evidence someone entered the woods and they found none. There r interviews with at least 2 different cops, state and local, where they say they r very confident she isn't in the woods near the crash site. They describe the snow as trackable & say that there was fresh prints from animals they could clearly see. So we know the snow was not the rock solid, end of the year kind of snow that u can walk on. Again, I was there a week after. This is one of those rate occasions that r rather ideal fr a search. Remember: thy didn't have to check the entire woods, only the roadsides. If there's no evidence anyone ever entered the woods, then she can't be in the woods. LE says that they double and triple checked so they could confidently tell the family that she is not in the woods nearby. I believe them when they say this, in fact this seems like the one and only thing their confident of in this case. Watch a couple interviews, almost everything else they give ambiguous answers and just generally don't sound confident, this is the only thing they sound confident when they say it, IMHO. But hey, maybe I'm too young to have a valid opinion & I'm just plain wrong. By the way "willOWisp", How old r u & why exactly does age matter here?

Hamp wrote: <quoted text>What are you talking about? First of all comparing Bigfoot to the red truck is completely ridiculous and anyone with any analytical skills should know this. We r talking about a truck that was witnessed by not one, but 2 different independent witnesses doing strange things right when she got missing. Bigfoot is a mythological creature that may not even exist, so that's about a stupid as a comparison that can possibly be made. What I was saying there is that people post things like that to try to make people look stupid. If anyone just read that one page they might think anyone who believes the red truck theory is a crazy conspiracy theorist who believes in Bigfoot. Reason being is bc bill makes it sound like it was just a truck driving through the area that stuck out because it was red, but this couldn't be further from the truth. It was not a candy apple red corvette were talking about here, it's a dull, faded red pickup truck that there r thousands of in Nh. This is one of the most popular color from that area. This is the kind of vehicle that blends in up in Nh, does not stick kit. It certainly was not just drivin through the area either. It actually stopped, & backed up to try to get a good look at the witness who was walking up the rd to the store. Then, the truck actually pulled into the parking lot of the store and waited until RO was in the steer light so he could see who she was, when he finally got a good look at RO, he drove off. They were clearly looking for someone in particular, the fact that they couldn't tell it was maira until RO was under the streetlight tells me this wad a stranger abduction, bc someone who knows Maura would know what she looks like. There also was a separate witness who reported the red truck being parked on bhr, right next to the accident scene, passenger door open, driver out of the truck? Why leave his passenger door open when there was only one guy in the truck? Maybe he was planning on habing the put Maura in the truck and would've been unable to open the door if he was carrying her. This truck was so suspicious, so out of the ordinary that it inspired someone to tell the cops about it that night. Then, later that night, almost every vehicle pulled over by LE was a truck, including 3 red trucks in the early morning hours of the 10th. Sorry but this wasn't some trick just driving through the area that was spotted bc it was red, that's one of the the most incorrect statements u could make. Whoever would make such a comment is either a liar, or really stupid. Therefore, we can't trust anything they've ever said. If they'll lie about that, who knows what else they'll lie about. This is the same guy that forgot how many houses he owned so that should tell u something right there

Frostman wrote: <quoted text> Thank you Citi, I couldn't find any local, contractually committed Triple A operators on any of my searches. The reason for my pondering is because the AAA card was apparently left in the Saturn. If you were going to walk down the road with the intent on securing a cell signal to call for a tow then you'd need to have your card in hand in order to recite the membership # for the AAA operator. Given the short time frame in which Maura disappeared I'm trying to conjure up a realistic scenario -- a plausible conversation if a second motorist (aka perpetrator) had stopped and offered “help”. If Maura was at that time outside the Saturn and someone offered assistance (or a lift) she might have again replied that she had or was planning to contact AAA. Maybe a local (or somebody who was locally knowledgeable), who was aware that the nearest AAA affiliate was in St. Johnsbury or Littleton, might have been able to convince her to go with him to pick up his tow truck. If she was indeed shivering from the cold it might have seemed like a possible solution. I am, however, 100% convinced that Maura wouldn't have gotten into a vehicle with just anyone. But if someone said, hop in... my wife, mother-in-law, wee granny has a tow truck and we'll have you back here in a jiffy... perhaps, at the time, that might have seemed to be an agreeable option. And if you're stuck deep in the North Country on a winter’s eve and a charmer with MA plates haps along with a seemingly safe and viable local option, you might succumb and get into his vehicle. ] Frostman-"I am however 100% convinced that Maura would'nt have gotten into a vehicle with just anyone." I personally think it would depend on the situation. I have always been a very cautious person and would never accept a ride from a stranger. But I did one night. My sister and I had been up north and searching for Maura all day. We walked to the store and when we came out from the store it was pouring. We waited for the rain to slow down but it never did. A man drove up to the store and on his way out asked us where we were going and then offered us a ride. We accepted the ride from him and hopped into his vehicle immediatelty. Once we were in the vehicle and driving down the road I realized we could of possibly made a big mistake by hopping into a vehicle with a complete stranger. Thank God the intentions of this man was to truly help us out.

Maura had crashed and there was wine spilled in her car. Once the sbd said he wanted to call the cops her regular cautions might've been thrown out the window. At that point I'm sure the last thing on her mind was getting abducted. I believe in this case she quite possibly would've taken a ride from someone she ordinarily wouldn't, at that point she was scared of the coos. But the one thing that always baffled me is that she didn't seem too overly conceerned with getting a ride. Wouldn't that b her biggest concern if she was really up there alone? We know she made no phone calls bc her cell dent work up there. So how was she plannin on getting where she wa going? How could she even call a cab or anything like that? Then on top of this the only bottle of liquor she took was the kahlua. It seems like she must've been travelling in tandem with someone, otherwise shouldn't she have been worried about getting a ride? She's in the middle of nowhere Nh, she must've known there was nowhere she could just walk to. She probably could've gotten the sbd to not call the cops if she went to his house to call for a ride. She didn't need a ride, why not? I think she knew someone was gonna b coming along right behind her. Combine this with the red truck with mass plates looking for someone specific and it's starting to make sense. Honestly it's the only thing that makes a lot of her actions make perfect sense, if someone was travelling with her. The thing that seals it for me is te fact that she was looking for condo rentals and only had $280. That's barely enough for on night in a condo in Nh and she would've known that. Someone else must have been planning on paying for this bc it certainly wasn't maura

You are wrong. You are the one that is lying. This is absolutely ridiculous, the river in the summer is nothing at all like the river in the winter. The same rocks that they r sitting on will b covered in about 2-3' of water in the winter. I'm not saying it's absolutely impossible to cross the river in the winter, I'm sure u can find a spot or 2 that u might b able to cross it but theres no way in hell your gonna find that spot when it's dark out. On top of that the river does not freeze solid, not even close to solid. It's that clear, punchy brittle river ice that is extremely dangerous. Any outdoor guide would tell u it's suicide to try to cross that river, at night, by yourself, without knowing exactly where it's safe. Also out of all the directions she could've went why go across that river? I was there a few weeks after and looking at the river. During the day I couldn't find a spot where I would be comfortable crossing it. In fact, I'll put up $1000 next February & I will give it to anyone who's willing to try to cross that river at night. I don't know why people r trying to say she could've crossed the river that night. Are qe believing now that she was like one of the most stupid people on earth? Theres no way your crossing without at least getting your feet wet, so what was her plan? Get her shoes wet so she can then walk miles into the woods. Seriously people, anybody saying she could've crossed that river easily either doesn't know, is really really stupid, or is straight up lying. But either way they r saying things that r not accurate as fact. Take anything said by someone who says that with a GIANT grain of salt.
