Its possible Car #1 and Red truck were the only ones privy to what went down...Maybe BA mentioned a red truck so the responding officer decided to look for red trucks...the responding officer had no idea of what happened just after 7..who had enough access to the logs to change them??

Just a couple of things here. Maura may have stopped for gas, a quick bathroom break, maybe bought some food, and used a payphone while she was at it. Heck, maybe she even briefly spoke to somone she was taking off to go see. Or she spoke to someone on the sly on a track phone for example. She had calling cards too and there is a little gap in the time it should have taken her to drive to where her car was found. I think somone said it was a bit over 1/2 hour, don't quote me. Someone mentioned awhile back that Maura would need complete privacy to keep certain calls off her cell phone bill, so to me this makes sense. People wonder about the New Years eve party in Goshen, Nh. I think it's safe to say that Billy did not go with her and so I wonder, again. How did she get there anyway. Did she drive her own car or go in someone elses car? Friends on campus said she hadn't driven her car in the past couple weeks. I thought this could be telling and that she drove herself back to school after the long break. City? Do you happen to know if Maura was picked up over the holidays, or if she traveled in her Saturn Also, they say Maura was extremely frugal. Why not concider that she may have been saving cash, tucking it away in her sock so to say.

Think about it...If I discovered my son, grandson, husband did something unthinkable&embarrasing I may spend the next 8 years trying to protect that secret. Why did a couple people here get phone calls telling them to back off? Somebody knows what happened.

Any gifts of money at Christmas time may have gone in a sock. The bank account may or may not have been her own money, but she had access to the money by knowing the pin. Or Fred set an allowance for her there. I guess I'd like to know if the family has checked amonst themselves as to whether Maura was given cash by one or more people. Hope this helps, Just me

Maybe there was a spare key to the now unocupied friends home in Goshen. If Maura were running away, she might want to make it look like she was attacked, targeted with that rag.....just a liitle further and she could have hid the car in a very remote spot. After that, she may have headed for the home in Goshen. I know police were sent there to see about that, but Maura would cover her tracks. Maybe stay in the garage by day, and creep into the house at night, making sure t keep lights off and such. That's all for me, I'm tired, Goodnight ya'll

findmaura wrote: <quoted text> my daughter kept a seperate bank account for her school to deposit student loan funds into...those funds dispurse mid Jan..Its a substantial amount all at once. Oh hi. Thanks for the information, I had no idea how that kind of thing works and most of what I've read and heard sounded like gossip to me.(like that the money was not hers, and that she withdrew from one other account too ) I just hope the family will ask these questions about money gifts, and/or share knowledge about whether or not 280 sounded like a right amount going by what she made and keeping in mind how very frugal she is said to have been. Sounds tricky, but looking up directions, calling condos, if any of this was deliberate to mislead, it sure did work, but only if she's ok after all. That death in the family excuse and withdrawing such a small amount of money, were they all part of some kind of plan? I've changed my mind about blackmail, because from where she stood in the privacy of her own room, she would likely write something down if things backfired, so that she could be found, perhaps saved even. I just hope it's not on her personal PC, in notebook or something. Good night. Columbo, I'll send one up for you tonight.

findmaura wrote: <quoted text> I think these certain posters know damn well who owned the red truck..Also,Think about the reputation of the driver of Car #1...Theres a documented history of drunk driving..Did they cover this up together? There is a local business that is connected to someone of very high profile and they have a fleet of Red trucks. They range from pick up trucks and up.

Jenkins wrote: <quoted text> I really wonder about those police logs. It seems super strange to me that when the sbd was trying to call 911 there was so many calls that he couldn't get through, lines were busy. He ended up habing to call another towns dispatch to get patched through. But maura's accident was the first thing to happen in at least an hour..I think the last call was at 5:40, but there def is a gap in the log. How is it that nothing happened but there was so many 911 calls the lines were busy. & we have the #1 vehicle nose to nose w the Saturn, that was the chiefs truck. But the chief has lied and said he wasn't on scene. Why? Why would he lie about that? Is it possible he knew who the guy in the red truck was? Working together? I find it extremely hard to believe but what's going on here? Something just is not right here, how is it ok for a chief of police to just lie about being on the scene of a missing person? I don't believe the chief is involved in hurting Maura, but I do believe the coos knew WAY more that night them they've ever said. I fully believe that they knew for sure she got abducted and after being unable to locate the red truck that night they decided it was gonna make themook really bad if they were on scene of an abduction, knew it was an abduction within 5 minutes of her being abducted and they can't catch the guy. Just think about it, that just makes em look bad. All members of LE r worried about their image, even more so in Nh though bc of smaller budgets. Town cops r not necessary due to the state cops, it's more of a luxury up Nh. Their image is important to them bc they fall victim to budget cuts all the time Jenkins, The way i had read it was that SBD got through to 911 but 911 was not able to relay to Haverhill because their lines werebusy. i could be wrong but that is what I thought I read on helenas forum.

Haverhill Pd as well as the Sherrifs dept were very busy that night. You need to look at several reports to see that. not just renners logs. What would be interesting to see would be the NHSP troop F logs.
