RozShoem wrote: <quoted text> Anne, You are correct about the two incidents/accidents. I had read a blog in which someone mentioned reports of TWO vehicles sliding off the road the evening of Feb. 9. It seemed there was uncertainty as to whether this was the same vehicle. A bronco (police-type...or something to do with a Haverhill PD #1 marking???) was also mentioned as being in that area that evening. The bronco type vehicle had passed another driver ....(bronco on its way to first scene of first veh. sliding off the highway). Also mentioned Bronco type veh front-end to front end w/Black Saturn (believe this was mentioned in re to Saturn). The writer indicated Bronco type veh responding to both incidents of vehicle off highway (one evidentally WAS the one involving the Saturn). No determination if the other incident also involved Saturn or another vehicle. Interesting. Would you mind sharing what Blog you heard about the two vehicles sliding off the road?

I remember reading the same in some blog, don´t have the link, but I recall the blogger´s source being - Anne´s postings!

I have a life that includes BBsitting G-kids twice weekly, a full time job, caregiver now to 3 people, and more. but I make time for whatever I want to do beside that. I like keeping posted on missing person cases, but it's certainly not all I do. Just goes to show that you can have your cake and eat it too.....

If all fails, the most obvious conclusion is what happened in 10 minutes. She crashed her car, several witnesses saw the car, who the f**k does not offer help in an isolated area. She refused the bus driver's help because she was drunk and wanted to avoid that charge. The Marrottes saw that interaction 'as john marrotte peeled an orange'. The key to a lie is the addition of extraneous detail. Check them out on LE charges. They are the ones who know

Let's try, "Maura was not the first, young, physically attractive, brunette female (as well as the occasional blonde) who found herself stranded beside the highway with a disabled vehicle. Consider the focus of the investigation of many of these young women to be displaced. Yes, displaced. The focus of investigation needs to target the psychopathic anomaly who continues to freely roam the VT, NH and VT highways. To continue to analyze these young women, blame them and portray them as responsible for what they never expected is irresponsibly heartless, senseless, and counter-productive.

Please tell us the names of the others? You know, the what, when, where, why and how? You will also find, statistically, that it is the young who have more accidents. As a result of that many will be attractive. And statistically more will be brunette with an occasional blond. Everything you have said, at least so far can be explained simply by statistical chance. Put together a coherent thought, then come up with another, string them together to make sentences, then build paragraphs and then put them in the forum for others to read. rozShoem wrote: To continue to analyze these young women, blame them and portray them as responsible for what they never expected is irresponsibly heartless, senseless, and counter-productive. I think that Maura’s irresponsibility is irrefutable. All part of being in your early 20’s. No sin there. And that also doesn’t mean she deserved whatever happened if she has been murdered. I have explained to my sons since they were very small that some peoples only function in life, unfortunately, is to be the person who others point to and say don’t be like that person. It is especially sad in this case because Maura seemed to have a lot of potential. It is neither heartless, or senseless or counter-productive if one person, especially you young ladies reading out there, learns these things from her mistakes. Always let someone you trust know where you are going. Always let someone you trust know your planned route of travel. Don’t drink and drive. And if you get into a car accident stay with your vehicle and wait for emergency personnel, don’t run from the crash. These are excellent life lessons for all young people to learn and Maura is the unfortunate poster child for what can happen if these rules are not followed. Maura’s only purpose may have been to only teach other young people, who think they are indestructible, the ways to NOT do things. Again, very unfortunate considering her potential. Bill

So I don't think at any point she told anyone including her to-be fiancee, friends, family and certainly not her professors or bosses. How would that fit into the I need some time off because of a death in the family but I'm taking a little side sojourn to NH for a little R&R. Bill

And again. I should point out. If you actually have something to say. Say it. You seem to really relish that you have nothing to say and you insist on using as many words as possible to show that. Bill

Bill Waiting for me to do the work? LOL. Is it not sufficient that I provide information without having to put the bits and pieces together for Bill and company! LOL. The troubling part is that many of the worker bees are dredging through these forums looking for the missing link and only considering those links that are compatible with their individual beliefs (theories) as to what may have happened to Maura. I have to admit that it DOES help to read all of these sites thoroughly. Get ready Bill...I'm about to change the topic and a loose association this is not! Yesterday I met a friend who I've not seen in years. Bringing along my favorite book so that I might kill time while waiting for my friend, it suddenly occurred to me that possibly this is what Maura had done. Often I bring favorite books with me to airport terminals, motels, etc. Of course planes fly in AND out of Burlington, even way back in 2004. In fact, in 2004 there were some very good prices, too. Also, if you check the records, there was a chemical engineering conference in Burlington the week of Maura's disappearance. Chemical engineering? Yes...chemical engineering. Isn't THAT a coincidence! I doubt that SHE was planning to attend the conference. Of course, my personal belief is that there is a disconnect between an event such as a conference, someone in attendance and what may have happened to Maura. My opinion is that these are two separate avenues of thought. You should read more and you'd learn to love complex sentence structure. Sorry. I know you read a lot, that's not the problem. You like those simple sentences though as they make it easier dredging for potential "facts." You should read, The Story of Edgar Sawtelle. Really. It's a lovely story.

Me thinks you've gotten into the rum and eggnog. What "facts" or information have you contributed to these forums that haven't been heard before? The "new facts" that only you seem to know about are not verified and you seem to disappear when someone asks you to verify your source of information. We are still waiting on the Amhearst forum for you to come back and tell how you know that Maura's car had a flat tire when no one else in over 6 years has heard that "fact". You have stated several things that are hogwash IMO and refuse to answer where you got your so-called facts from. Simple sentences or complex sentence structures make no difference what-so-ever when the words are nothing more than red herrings.

Rum has to be the soul mate of those horrid little rum cakes that appear too frequently this time of year. You really know how to torture a person with that rum comment. Even suggesting I'd drink the stuff leaves me mortified. A few days ago I responded regarding the source of the tire info but strangely enough no one responded to my response! This left me feeling abandoned and prompted bouts of rumination for an hour or two. Was it something I said or failed to say? Really. Baring my soul to cyberspace only to be abandoned, excluded. Red herrings?! Absolutely not! My preference is walleye, actually. In light of my abandonment at the forum...at least the one to which you make reference, I turned my talents to perfecting the "perfect" apple pie. Now this is something to pray for...if I were a religious person. If you really would like me to send the tire source info once more, I'll send it your way.

Anne wrote: One of the largest misunderstandings concerning the scanner chatter is that I was the only one to hear it which is absolutely ridiculous and untrue. Other households heard the same. I seem to be the only one foolish enough to be out here, plain and simple. I cannot explain the discrepancies and have listened to many. Dawn, you expressed several times not to shoot the messenger and yet you do the same. Wowzer, I have answered what you have asked, although you never think I have. I will not state anything that would hinder possible future legal proceedings. We can only grapple with postings of individuals here in our own way, deciding alone what we know is truth. The truth I know is they were looking for a female at around 7 on February 9, 2004. That short statement has taken on a life of its own since 2004. This was years before the official documents were public. I know what I said and it is still the truth. Based on what I've read, an officer(?) responded to the first car off the road situation and upon arrival saw a female drive off. Then the officer responds to another report (2nd) of a car off the highway. If it was a police officer who responded to the first scene and identified the driver to be a female, wouldn't he have noticed something about the car as well? Close enough to determine the driver was a female and yet not close enough to recall anything about the car? If Maura had been involved in both incidents within minutes...it would seem as though an officer would have recognized that it was the same car (dark colored Saturn). Also, as she left the scene it would have seemed reasonable to pull her over to determine if she'd been drinking (dui, dwi)? Possibly a breathalyzer could have been administered. If the woman was driving off....and he did not stop her because he was being dispatched to the 2nd accident...it would seem that if Maura was involved in both incidents she would have had to been in two places at once (driving away from the first incident and involved in the second one simultaneously). Possibly it was a very busy evening. Did the officer ever mention it may have been the same car at both scenes?
