Maura Murray

Perhaps we've lent too much emphasis regarding Maura's hair. SBD said it was down, but I noticed Kathleen has a scrunchy on her wrist in photos, hair down in one frame hair pulled back in the very next photo. Maybe Maura had the same habit.

Lets face it there is a strong possibibility that Maura is no longer with us so why not make friends with the guy and give him the facts about what happened about things that only Fred could know.

Always considered this a red herring also. The only people pushing this are people that don't want it to be Maura seen by SBD, the lookalike scenario people. It was absurd when first offered, it is still absurd.

Look at the picture from when she got arrested.
Look at how big her pupils are, she's on something for sure, most likely some sort of speed like Ritalin or adderrall but my money would be Ritalin as adderrall was not popular yet on campus in 04.
That picture wa taken in the hallway of a dorm, theoretically her pupils should be kind o small because o all the light in the hall.
It's very likely she was taking ritalin to try to help with her studies but to think she got involved in meth is just crazy talk.
Meth is so uncommon in new england, I've heard a lot of college kids say a lot of crazy shit but I've never heard one say they had meth, ever.

Something I found interesting was the family always said she had her school books with her, which is not entirely accurate.
She had a book about pharmacology and another called the drug guide 2004.
So both of the books she brought to Nh were about pharmaceutical drugs

Re the books, the question would be whether these were the ONLY school books found in her car, or just the two that happened to be in the photo taken of her sister with MMs belongings in the motel room.

It might be significant if the pharmacology books were the only two books she had in the car. They would be a great resource, such as for anyone who wants to know more about a medication that has been prescribed for them, etc.

Then again, pharmacology is a huge subject and there is a lot that medical people need to know about it, so she may simply have planned to really buckle down and do some studying on that subject.

I would hardly say that Renner is the only guy interested enough to get to the bottom of things.(Consider the several online blogs and forums devoted to the case.) Renner is a supposed "investigative journalist," but I don't really know about his credentials and whether I'd want him writing a book about my missing child -- especially considering how much information is being withheld by law enforcement. And if you've ever tried participating in the discussion threads on Renner's MM blog, you'll know that he censors comments to his own liking.

As usual you make som very good points advocate. We really can't draw anything definite from this but I'm pretty sure those were the only books on her car: that picture was taken when the photog asked her to lay out everything that was in maura's car.

Her actions are consistent in tw days leading up to her dissapearance of a girl who is taking too much speed and her life is spiraling out of control.
Living in college towns for the past 14 years I've seen this happen way too many times. These girls take on way too mich responsibility and they start taking drugs like Ritalin with the best of intentions, to help them do everything.
Usually it does help for a while too; problem is when they start taking em every day & develoP a tolerance so theyre takin more and more.
This is usually when things start going haywire in their life.
A girl like Maura, who probably never took drugs in her life, brain isn't ready for large quantities of drugs.
These drugs mess with your brain chemistry and make people do things they wouldn't otherwise.

I can tell you for a fact that when that picture of her getting arrested was taken she was on some sort of stimulant. Most likely Ritalin. That doesn't mean she took them all the time or large quantities, nobody can tell that from one picture.
But when you combine that with all the things going wrong in her life it begIns to paint a picture of what was going in in her head

I'm not postin the website but I just saw the truck again on the website and omg, it is exactly what RO described.

I emailed back and forth with RO on several different occasions because I was driving through te area and I was helping her look for it.

That truck on the website, the red F-250 with a wooden slat bed is the exact same truck witnessed by RO.

That's pretty crazy if you think about it.

People have heard this kid bragging about the crime.
LE has serjously taken a look at him and has even tried to obtain a search warrant for the property. Theybe also asked permission on at least 2 occasions.

And the guy has the same exact truck that was witnesses by RO and someone else acting very strangely in the area at the exact right time.

I think it's pretty hard to ignore that this is probably the guy.

What sucks is unless he makes a major mistake his propery will never be searched and this case might never be resolved.

One thing is clear though, Maura did not voluntarily just walk into the woods near the crash site and die

Just because LE can't get a search warrant does not mean there's a coverup.

I have no doubt that there is corruption in the area, I've never seen actualt evidence of this but it certainly is a "good 'ol boy" area up there.

Locals are gonna look out for locals.
But I can't believe they're gonna help someone get away with the murder of a young girl, nobody like murder. Nobody is gonna do that.

Well there were some people who insisted that because the girl SBD saw had her hair down, and others swore that Maura never wore her hair down, this couldn't have been Maura. Like the airbag punching her in the face couldn't have knocked the bun off her head. There were hundreds of hysterical theories flying around in the early days. You should have been here. Shack screaming about local killers and police involvement in a killing and/or abduction. Others running around talking about serial murderers haunting the areas. P.I's talking about how a Maura lookalike was used to confuse everyone. For what purpose, no one ever could seem to say. But it was fun while they were humming away with it.
