Bill,with very few facts available,speculation is not a bad thing.Involvement in drugs can lead to erratic behavior.That area has a known Meth problem...Please,if you have anything of substance to add please do.

Something I found interesting was the family always said she had her school books with her, which is not entirely accurate.
She had a book about pharmacology and another called the drug guide 2004.
So both of the books she brought to Nh were about pharmaceutical drugs

My Daughter is a Nurse Practitioner working in substance abuse.Meth is not uncommon at all...A majority of her clients are under 25 yrs old&not from lower socio economic backgrounds.No bikers.Theres even V.I.P clients-financial contributors to Mass General...Never say never.

At minimum, there are at least 5 murderers, of the last few years that are still in prison from Haverhill area...AND because of the closed minds, who knows if the murderer of Tom C. has been made known. Fire news of meth labs are the norm.

And I always wonder why she said "my sister,my sister" around the time of the upsetting phone call...What happened in Amherst?Why is the past unimportant according to Fred?

I'm wondering where she would get money to have a meth problem, when she was stealing credit cards to buy pizza. Maybe a boyfriend was involved with drugs and got her into it? If we can speculate about rogue LE and red trucks, then I think it's equally fair that we can speculate about drugs. Or gun runs, or whatever Bill said. Haha.

Speculation is bullshit. The search for the truth is a search for and the use of facts. I have already told you all substance that I have on the subject. I have never heard anyone mention a drug use about her. If you know that she used drugs, that isn't speculation, otherwise it is.

Everyone knows about meth labs. We have them in CT also. I am trying to remember. Who are the five dead that someone is talking about? I know that some of you think that NH is a hotbed of meth use. Anyone think that is why Maura went up there? Was she just looking for Meth at discount prices? Or was she looking to score a large amount to resell to her other nursing friends because they all used? The level of some of the stupidity sometimes really amazes me. Seriously though, I am curious who the five murderers are.

I am presenting what I know....as always....have spent my life "up there" on a part time Summer May to October basis...with relatives...As far as Goshen...don't have a clue...that could have come from Renner....dunno....
I do know that it is 2 worlds between my Mass place and my NH place...(only 3 hours)hard to explain..but, up there is like glazed eyes.....

I don't when or how drugs were introduced to the subject of Maura Murray Missing....I don't know how the subject of Maura Maury because of photograph of her with a background of concrete blocks became an arrest. How the background of a wacky poster dopple ganger, clay soup,beagle, 112 dirtbag with a concrete block background even comes into this subject. Great novel, I guess...but Maura Murray didn't just lock her car with her belongings....she was grabbed and murdered.

I think she was probably killed also, but unless you know who grabbed and murdered her then I don't understand how you can be so sure.

No I definitely did not personally hear him bragging. There's definitely a rumor going around up there that he's been hears bragging about "getting that girl" on a couple different occasions while partying and this is how it became common knowledge around town that this is probably the guy.
That isn't the only reason though, people say that he is just a creepy kind of guy and even his own family members suspect he's responsible.

If it's true he actually poured an unnecessary concrete slab in the days following her dissapearance I would say yes this is probably the guy. That's still definitely just rumor but the fact that the concrete slab appeared to be completely unnecessary is supposedly something that made the cops really interested in it, so much that in the warrant request it's been said that they said they wanted to run ground penetrating radar over the slab

years (only 7 years since I first heard the words)

Haverhill area does NOT want to acknowledge anything regarding Maura other than runaway....

Interesting. RO said this truck was waiting at the store prior to the accident? So in theory, for this to occur - and for him to be looking for someone on foot before the crash - then he would have had to know she was going to crash. He would also have had to be someone she knows, or he met her along the way and knew her route at the very least.

I also found an article that makes it sound like the red truck was never investigated. This could be inaccurate, or it could have since been investigated, but it's interesting.

"Sgt. Beausoleil said another tip, from a woman who was walking on Route 112 in Bath, N.H., on Feb. 9, also could not help investigators develop a criminal case.

The woman reported a suspicious man in a red pickup truck with Massachusetts plates eyeing her near the Stage Stop general store in Bath at about 7 that night.

According to the woman, the man left when she went into the store and headed east toward the accident scene. Ten minutes later, the woman saw Haverhill police go by in the same direction, responding to the accident.

She didn't have a license plate number, so that doesn't give us anything,'' Beausoleil said. We don't feel confident it's connected.''

Where us you daughter a nurse practitioner mass general?
I'm not saying there's no meth in new England, but it is extremely rare. The rest of the country meth is a much bigger problem than new england, in the southwest it is the biggest drug.
I'm not saying meth labs and meth labs don't exist in new England but they are extremely uncommon, especially on college campuses. I've never ever heard of anyone who sells meth, living in college towns for the last 14yrs(my entire adult life) I've never ever heard of a meth dealer. I've heard of every single other dealer but that.
In new england the hard drugs of choice are cocaine and heroin. Right now dope(heroin) & pharmaceutical dope(lxycodone,morphine) is the biggest drug in new England by far, except fe weed but that's different. Pharmaceuticals like Ritalin & adderral are next biggest Coke is the next biggest after and methamphetamine is the most rare.
The reason I've heard that meth is so rare is the fact that meth is imported by Meccan gangs and Mexican gangs don't have a good foothold up in new England and new York. New York Is controlled by gangs that sell coke and dope, no meth and they don't want meth around because it's so mich cheaper and less profit for them.
So all meth in new England is produced in small batches in small meth labs, like te ones that are found in graftin county. I know they found more than several the year Maura dissapeared.

The thing is though that the circles that cook meth in small batches are so removed from college kids it's ridiculous. College kids in general eat their ascertains to study and party, they're not setting up meth labs.

Maura probably did Ritalin, I can see it in her eyes, she definitely took it the night she got arrested, but for all I know that was the first time she ever took it. Judging by the fact that she ordered a pizza probably not, they are appetite suppressors until you get a tolerance for them.
Even if she had been taking them every day I serjously doubt that she was so far into the drug workd that she started doing meth.
It's a real stretch of the imagination to think Maura was making a run to Nh for meth, that's absolutely unbelievable. There's just no way she was that experienced in the drug world.
I suspect she was habing problems handling her Ritalin habit and that's a major reason for her erratic behavior.
