Honestly you are correct about one thing, I really don't care to go back and try to 'understand' where you are coming from and feel your pain. I remember enough to know you came here and didn't even spend 2 minutes reading back to try to get some situational awareness.

Its actually pretty rare for an undercover to even need an ID.
Most undercover operations, particularly in NH where there arent many big crime organizations, are rather simple. THey are usually after some kid gets busted; he brings an uncercover officer with him to his dealers house to make a buy and ideally introduce the undercover to the dealer so he can come back and make a controlled buy which holds up much better in court than a but from an informant.
How many times has the NHSP ever sent someone deep cover where they would even need a new ID? Can you find one article where they mention anything like that? I can't...because its bullshit!! complete utter bullshit!

I think someone has seen too many movies, what movie are you even talking about? Must be"The Departed" because that's the only movie I'm aware of where they give an identity to a state police. Every other movie has FBI agents getting new identities, except the departed. But dude, that is a completely fictional telling of the Whitey Bulger story that isn't very accurate at all. So unaccurate it's hard to even say it was the story of Whitey Bulger and even Scorcese says that it was a very loose portayal. As far as I can tell the real person Billy Costigan is based on never recieved a new identity from anyone. He was originally state police but then got caught up in a gang that robbed armored cars. After serving a full 10 year sentance he became an informant under his real identity, he certainly never recieved a new social security # from the federal gov't.

An agent getting a true new identiy and going deep cover into a crime organization is extremely rare even on the federal level.

Besides for the fact that if you ever really went undercover like that, to the point that you would need a new identity because your life would be in jeapardy if your true identity was discovered, you would NEVER talk about it. Wouldn't that confirm to criminals that they really do that in NH? wouldn't that place the current undercover operatives in serious danger if a real NHSP detective was going online and confirming that they give fake id's and identities to undercover police. A real cop who's gone undercover would never, ever do that.
Same thing with viewing the case fil or evidentiary findings. It doesn't matter if you were a former detective, its still highly illegal for anyone not working the case to view that file or have any info related to the case, its just not done. Theres not that many people who've viewed that case file, and they know exactly who has and when.
So if you did see the file that would mean you were friends with the lead detective and he let you view it illegaly. If that happened you would NEVER talk about it on a public forum, never. You could get your friend in trouble.

Floyd definetly fits the profile of someone who might commit a crime like this. He very well could be responsible for different murders not even Maura's. I would not be surprised if a couple of the cases the nh ccu is working on were the result of Floyd. He never served in vietnam so how did he get so calm and cool with killing? If liko was his first kill how come he wasn't a little more shook up? According to all accounts he was proud of what he did and seemed pretty happy to tell people that he killed liko. I'm sure it's been many more over 2000 for years now. Something at some point will come out, the right person will hear about it or the right piece of evidence will be found by luck somewhere.

Its an insane amount of pages that have been written on this case but at least it is helping keep the case somewhat out in the public.
I think If it wasn't for these forums the media would have stopped covering this case years ago and if they stop the media will end up forgetting about this case.
