There was Butch's house, a house on each corner of Bradley Hill RD, the small cabin where the car went off the road and then the house across from the Weathered Barn. 5 houses. And just before the curve within a short walking distance there were more houses that Maura passed. Does it really make a difference if there were 4 or 5 houses? Either way she chose not to go to any of them for help. I appreciate your attempt at an answer. I have driven by those "residences" many times trying to figure out what 5 residences that Maura could have gone for help. Some just look like Summer places. February buildings do not always look like there is an active residence on that road, as it would in Spring/Summer. And, no, it doesn't make any difference to me how many places that Maura "could" have gone to for help. It does seem that it does make a difference to those, who keep mentioning it, who live in Woodsville/Bath area of 112. It keeps reminding me that people who live there want to blame the victim Maura Murray on that February night.

I know 2 of the residents nearby that were unaware of the accident until after the fact. Does anyone know what Mr. Murray's alibi was for his whereabouts the evening of the accident..? And...does anyone know who made the call that left her so upset that she had to leave work...?

Shhhhhhh........mums the word. i think one of your closest friends has that angle covered with blog smearings all over the internet about NH (visit new hampshire and die), Ayotte, and various and frivolous lawsuits. the problem is that there is no evidence of a boogey man on the losse. all known boogies have been accounted for.

Correct, that would be an option for someone who wanted to be helped. I don't believe that Maura wanted help, she wanted to get away. Her actions indicate that. In memory of SBD Bill

Evidently with all the times you drove by the area you must not have driven by after dark. First hint that someone was home would have been lights on in the houses. Next hint would be cars in the driveway and driveways plowed. Last hint would be smoke wafting out of the chimneys. To me none of those houses near there look like a summer place. I live in that area and I don't know of anyone here that has said they blame the victim. I have said more than once that if she had gone to one of those houses or excepted the help offered by Butch that night then we wouldn't have a need for this forum. She wanted no help that night. That was her choice. What other choices did she make that night?

To my knowledge your two questions have never fully been answered. It doesn't surprise me in the least that some of the residents were unaware of the accident. In the winter many keep their curtains/shades drawn at night to keep the heat. Add a TV on or people talking and it would be near impossible to see or hear what was going on outside. I still believe that the phone call that upset her holds some answers to this whole thing.

Absolutely correct, she had plenty of options for help and she obviously wanted to get out of Dodge ASAP.

Well I'm doing my part to solve this by watching reruns of the twilight zone for answers, and waiting for my psychic dog to come up with answers.

Whoever made the call hit a real soft spot and was probably one of the last to see her before leaving MA.(and maybe had trailed her to NH and picked her up after the accident......?)

There could be a million and one explanations to recieve a call that makes one upset. 99.9% are trivial. Did anyone ever run a trace on on the phone? See where/whom the calls came from? Im sure they did. Wowzer wrote: <quoted text> I still believe that the phone call that upset her holds some answers to this whole thing.

Maybe she lost control of the car because a UFO was in the middle of the rode. And just like "Flight of the Navigator" she will return 8 years later, but not aged at all.
