Improper interviewing and handling of MM's belongings top the list. RF told HP 10 days after the incident that he saw a female approx. 4-5 miles from where her car was, but couldn't remember which night it was, later on April 29th he told the SP that it was the night in question. Prior to HP handing the case over to SP, HP returned all of MM's belongings within two weeks of her disappearance including her car back to her family. Not until late June 2005 did the NH SP go to MM's sisters house in Hanover, MA to retrieve these items for their investigation. 16 months after the fact. Now I under stand why they don't release certain information so as not to compromise their investigation, but this case has been botched since day one. If I was MM's father I would seriously consider a law suit against both the Town of Haverhill and the State of NH. well, hells bells, there's a former lawyer out there who might like to take on the case. for the record, jon benet ramsey's case was "botched" in boulder. it's not every day that small town cops are challenged in ways they are unaccustomed to responding.

Snowy would be great either working at an airport bring planes in or in commercial real estate. She's totally dedicated to and always worried about location, location, location. Really. Just a little obsessive about where everyone is... You need not keep reassuring her, however, of your location as that will only reinforce inappropriate behavior (the more likely she will continue to probe about where you are). now you are entertaining me....i'm smiling. imagine that? a rottie with a smile.

Yes but if they are unaccustomed to the type of case as this they should have turned it over to the SP the night her car was found. They were there and just stood by idly, at least that is the take I got from everything I have read. That in itself was probably the most crucial mistake of all. But, that still does not mean that they would have found her, I'm just saying things such as interviews, screening the evidence, and combing the area may have been done more efficiently. There is approximately a 29 minute gap from the time the woman saw MM's car until the HP arrived on scene. 16 minutes from the time the police were dispatched, which given the size of the department, the road conditions, and the area they have to cover it isn't a bad response time at all. The last one that actually saw MM alive was the SBD and he even called 911 when he arrived home as well, but after the woman had already called. So I am assuming the woman lived closer to the scene than the SBD. As far as Jon Benet yes your absolutely correct, but at least they finally admitted they botched it.

I want to commend the police department on an excellent job. What an outstanding group! They even police their own. Which is an extraordinarily good way to make sure there is no corruption. Praise the Lord! I love living up here. Hardly any crime. People are so friendly. Last time my car broke down, a nice man gave me a ride. Over the holidays, so many people invited my wife and children over, I could hardly keep up. The police must not have much to do. I, with most of the town will be praying for your forgiveness on Sunday. I hope I can get a seat. I'm glad I don't live in Vermont, New York, Florida or Connecticut. This is Gods Country up here! We often pray that God will show mercy and shower some of our blessings on the angry people that come here to Topix. Show them Happiness, God!

You and a couple others are just mad that I haven't jumped on those you want harrassed. Keep on keepin' on your personal agenda.

In fact I just got off the phone with someone from there and I am possibly heading there tomorrow to do some more digging. If you're heading there tomorrow maybe you could take a ride to Twin Mountain Troop F SP barracks on rt 302. They will be interested in seeing your facts, names and statements that you got from the residents. If it was me I'd turn all information in ASAP so I wouldn't be accused of with-holding potential evidence in an active case. JMO

And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, the first commandment is, Hear, O Isreal; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater then these. Jesus loves you Anne.

JMO I never said they were facts I said they were statements told to me by several people, which I documented, and only repeated on here to get feedback. Which I am learning rapidly that some on here don't want to hear anything but their own opinion, or start arguments just to be a douche. I love how people get all brave behind their keyboard and screen, it amuses me to no end. But yes I would be willing to do that no problem.

Who cares where anyone is from, that is not the topic here, at least that is what I thought. Maybe we should start a forum called, "Why do you care so much about my location are you a psycho stalker?" Then the people who really care about MM's case can concentrate on discussing it on here without being criticized for having an opinion, or giving information that they became privy to.

As far as Jon Benet yes your absolutely correct, but at least they finally admitted they botched it. since there are few answers, even 7 years later, it seems unreasonable to have expected the police to have made an immediate determination about who was driving the saturn and to have known the driver's or passenger's whereabouts following a non-threatening crash. there was no evidence of foul play, an abduction or a homicide. it was only on reflection that anyone, including Maura's father, could suggest what "should have" happened in the aftermath of what appeared to be a possible dui. it is not uncommon for a car to breakdown, and for a driver or passenger to seek help by calling a friend or relative to assist. it's not uncommon for cars to be parked or abandoned on highways when mechanical difficulties are assumed. it would not be uncommon for a driver to approach the nearest house after a collision to request the use of a landline, or for shelter while awaiting a tow truck or the arrival of a friend or family member. i don't believe there was malicious intent by the police if they overlooked any clue that, only after the fact, might have suggested foul play.
