Judged: 2 2 1 Good point Amy, because if she left the Tylenol in the car the that squashes the alchol/ Tylenol deal. She would have taken it with her if that was the plan. Maura was said to have a leg injury and maybe that is why the Tylenol. I honestly never bought into the story with Tylenol/Alchohol. JMO |

Judged: 2 1 1 Sgt. Smith also found a rag stuffed into the exterior tail pipe of Maura's Saturn. The rag came from the trunk of Maura's car, according to Fred Murray, who said he had stored the rag along with an emergency roadside kit in the Saturn." From the whitman paper. Nothing about Tylenol? The first mentionings about tylenol was hen the HP was talking about the squw walk right? I have never ead anything about tylenol in any of the other articles that I remember anway lol. |

Judged: 3 3 1 Maura had information about the Berkshires and mapquest directions (that she printed out the sunday night before she went missing) for both Burlington and Stowe. I deduct that Maura didn't have a specific destination and only in the last couple of hours, she elected to head towards what her boyfriend's mom notes was maura's favorite place in the world, the White Mountains. As far as the Tylenol PM, it was maura's boyfriend's mom who brought that up and no one else from what I could find. Sharon Rausch said maura had brought alcohol and Tylenol PM with her (so that doesn't clear up whether or not that means she bought it at a store and it was on the receipt with the alcohol or rather that she already had the tylenol PM anyway). Another point of constant confusion was the rag found in maura's tailpipe. It was the first responding officer and not the tow truck driver that discovered the rag. Which makes for an interesting question. How did the first responding officer notice a rag that was supposedly stuffed way deep into the exterior rear tailpipe? And do officers typically get down on all fours and stick a flashlight in abandoned car's tailpipes to look for things? very odd. |

Judged: 2 2 1 I have been wondering myself if she was really on her way to Burlington or Stowe. Would be interesting to know IK´s whereabouts in Feb ´04. It should be easy for LE to establish if he made any business trips to VT or NH in Feb ´04. |
Judged: 2 1 1 mcsmom, Yes, Reyes, Keyes, variations(?) or so it appears. Prior to this, the only I. Keyes I had heard about is the one who may have shot his gf and her son, then shot himself? Then, of course, there are the names associated with history. |

Judged: 3 2 2 Hi Bumping for Maura, Yes I do. Believe the culprit possibly lives in or around the Woodville area (somewhere between where they found MM's Saturn and the Fairlee VT area). Regarding the "other"(?????) I. Keyes you might find the following interesting: www.kitsapsun.com/2008/montana murder victims Always thought their may have been 4 people present in that cabin. Why? Why on earth murder a 12-year old? To me it sounded like someone who planned to remain very much alive did not want to leave a witness behind. It was certainly a tragedy, but in my opinion, based on the murder of the 12-year old boy, I did not believe it to be a double murder and suicide. In my opinion it sounded more like 3 murders for some other reason. ID theft? Some other reason solely for personal gain? I remembered the name because it is so unusual. I'd read of that name appearing in the 1800's, etc (hx)....but it seems like this name is now appearing twice in just a few years. |

Judged: 2 2 1 Aftermath, do you have any thoughts about this? "Keyes would have been about 19 years old when he acquired the land in Constable. The actual deed is listed as belonging to a different Israel Keyes, this one from Colville, Wash., and 10 years older than the accused murderer from Anchorage. The lawyer who oversaw the transaction was Thomas LaRocque of Malone. He could not be reached for comment." http://www.mpcourier.com/article/20120803/DCO... |

Judged: 2 2 1 Thank you for the answer about Tylenol PM. If she did buy it that day and it was missing from the car, I would think that would raise warning bells with the family. Mr. Murray also mentioned in the Disappeared program that he thought she was headed to Bartlett. He didn't explain why he thought that. The rag is weird. I thought maybe he noticed it while bending down to investigate the spilled liquid (wine) that she dumped from the bottle. That's pure speculation. I don't believe anyone has come out and said how they found it. The family might have more info about that. I remember Citigirl (a cousin of Maura) once posted that she knew who found the rag. I don't know if she still posts/reads here. |

Judged: 2 2 2 Correction to my previous post. Sorry. This is what I meant to quote: "Keyes would have been about 19 years old when he acquired the land in Constable. The actual deed is listed as belonging to a different Israel Keyes, this one from Colville, Wash., and 10 years older than the accused murderer from Anchorage. The lawyer who oversaw the transaction was Thomas LaRocque of Malone. He could not be reached for comment. The female Facebook group administrator said her research shows that Keyes lived in Colville, Wash. in 1996. She believes that is where and when he killed his first victim. She said that in early March of 1996, 12-year-old Julie Harris disappeared from Colville. She said Ms. Harris had prosthetic feet, which were found in a river days later. Her body was found in a wooded area a year after that. No charges were ever filed. The female admininstrator said she believes that Keyes could have used the other Israel Keyes’ identity. She said she has been in contact with an individual who claims to have records showing Keyes reporting a false age some years ago, but has not yet received them. She said she dug up evidence of him using aliases Izreal or Isreal Reyes, or shortening his name to Izzy." |
Judged: 4 3 2 Wondering if the current Anchorage I.K. could have previously met the I.K. who in 2008 resided in Plains MT? The one living in Plains MT in 2008 was 39 in 2008. Article indicates it appeared he shot his gf, her 12-year old son and then himself. When I read the article, I could not understand what reason would exist to shoot a 12-year old boy. It did not make sense. At the time, I wondered if there had not been another person present who did the shooting and staged it so it would appear to be a double murder and suicide. If a fourth party did the shooting, possibly he wanted to leave no witnesses behind and therefore shot the boy in addition to the two adults. Take a look at the following: www.kitsapsun.com/2008/montana murder victims I researched some of the information in the article and believe the female or possibly both adults mentioned had previous connection w/the State of Washington. Please let me know your thoughts. |

Judged: 4 4 2 I saw that article posted to websleuths also in the Samantha thread. That was the first I heard about the murder/suicide. It's an incredibly odd coincidence. That Israel also had a military background. I wonder if the family running the FB page is aware of this? They are thoroughly researching any possible connection and turning everything over to FBI. It looks like the Israel who killed Samantha used "Israel Reyes" for obtaining fishing licenses. Who uses a fake name for a fishing license? Unless he is pretending to fish while doing something more sinister. The whole thing is tremendously strange. |

Judged: 3 2 2 the 911 logs actually note that the responding officer is the one who found the rag in the tailpipe. It's in the logs the following day (after maura's wreck) as is a 911 dispatcher attempting to get a hold of police because fred murray has something very urgently important to tell them about his daughter. It is important to understand about the rag, because if the rag had been stuffed way deep into the tailpipe like James Renner suggested with his blog post, then there is no way the responding officer sees it in the pitch dark while he is investigating an abandoned car. If the rag was loosely placed in the tailpipe (which is likely how it was) then I think we can rule out easily scenarios involving some sort of sabatoge taking place where someone wants to abduct maura by disabling her car. The rag in the tailpipe could've very likely been an amateurish (on the spot, improvised) suicide attempt. |
