Judged: 3 2 2 Amy asked Citigirl about whether there was a flashlight in the emergency Kit and that was not answered and Citigirl opted not to say where searches were done on the Montel show so I am not sure what you are talking about when you say she is eager to give out facts. I am not trying to turn this into a Citigirl thing because we have always gotten along well etc.. but there are many things that are guarded and I guess I can understand that to a point as we are not the one that are going to solve the case. My feeling is this: This forum as dysfunctional as it is is really an asset to finding Maura from the point that it keeps Maura name in the forefront. I would be thankful if it were my daughter at the same time cringe as bad things are posted about character. James Renner has been trashed by some but again, Renner keeps the ball rolling and Mauras name in the forefront. I think both of these factors keep some pressure on LE to at least think of the case and that is more than many family's of missing family can say. We may not be able to solve the case here but we can help keep the ball rolling and when common info is withheld that has no bearing on the investigation it makes me think that I am wasting my time. Patrick M's Mother tried to get tons of info out to the public and I see this case as the polar opposite. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Isnīt a flashlight part of the standard equipment in an emergency kit? All of those I found while doing a google search have one. |

Judged: 2 2 2 It may or may not be. The thing that you learn real fast about those kits is that most of them are crap. And the worst part is that people throw them in their car and forget about them for years. It bakes in the summer and freezes in the winter. Doesn't do any of the batteries any good. Especially the crap batteries that they usually put in those cheap Chinese kits. And often when people go to actually use the flashlight, surprise, it doesn't work. If you have an emergency kit, first make it yourself using quality, common sense items you need and check it at least twice a year spring and fall and remove and/or replace crap that has worn out and test everything so you know it will work when you need it. Judged: 1 1 1 Hannah, Speaking of Beagle, I recall how he many, many times mentioned how he apparently had witnessed LE checking out the crashed new Toyota which Maura was driving the night she smashed up Fredīs car when driving from Amherst to Hadley. If Beagle is telling the truth, and I donīt really see why he should be making up a thing such as that, I do wonder what could have prompted local LE to go over the crashed Corolla with a fine comb? |

Judged: 1 1 The coffee shop was referenced from when she called them at 8:40 p.m.(while on shift at her desk) It has never been implied by me that the coffee shop and hit and run were related. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Orko - usually when people leave a scene it is because they were at fault or drinking? What reason would MM have for leaving the accident there have been no reports of her being drunk or drinking that day. |
Since: Jul 11 525 |
Judged: 1 1 1 If she was involved in the hit and run then it could be because she was on a type of probation from her credit card incident a few months prior. In fact, i think she was suppose to remain squeaky clean until the end of feb. If she had done so, she would not have the credit card stuff on her record. If she was involved in a hit and run, maybe it was as a result of driver inattention (like talking on a cell phone and being distracted) and maybe that would cause her in the heat of the moment to freak out and flee. |

Judged: 1 1 1 We learn about this hit and run and the possible link to maura, but we hear from published reports that maura is likely not involved because: 1. the hit and run incident happened miles away. FALSE -- the hit and run took place less than a mile from where maura is working 2. Maura was working, therefore she had no opportunity to leave her desk. FALSE AGAIN - Maura does get breaks (not break) but breaks during her Thursday shift that ran from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. So the main two points to dismiss maura's possible involvement are both PROVEN to be dis-credited points. Therefore, how can anyone dismiss the link. |

Judged: 2 2 2 Of course we must suspend believability because no one saw her, her car, and no one can place her at the scene. That any of the damage to car is not consistent with a pedestrian accident. That the damage that was observed to the car, no one ever mentioned any blood, flesh or hair on the car consistent with a pedestrian vs auto collision. That the damage to the car was never seen before the accident in New Hampshire. Other than that, the whole scenario is brilliant. Bill |
Judged: 1 1 1 Orko- Here you talk about her poss leaving her desk for coffee. I thought you were trying to tie this into Maura leaving her desk and hitting Vasi. |

Judged: 2 2 2 Part of doing any kind of detective work would involve having enough brain power to be able to connect dots. When you have two pretty freakishly odd incidents less than a mile from one another happening around the same time-frame as one another (woman breaking down at work so bad that she can't function; guy a block over laying the snow only to be comatosed for over a month as a result of his injury) It's not to much of a stretch to look into the two incidents and see if there are any relations. You can say I have no proof that maura was involved and I can say that after eight years, no one has proven that she wasn't involved and while at the same time have failed miserably explaining her potential involvement away. "Well her dad said she was afraid to drive her car (yuk yuk) her dad said it so it must be gospel. |

Judged: 2 1 1 Not at all. I was actually making the point that maura had the ability to leave her desk.(she had called a coffee cafe to place an order) I was honestly trying to find out from anyone familiar with amherst whether or not that particular coffee cafe delivered. If they don't deliver, then obviously maura would've had to leave her desk (during shift) and go get her order therefore leaving it open for later in the night (around time of hit and run) that she could've once again stepped away from her desk. |

Judged: 2 2 1 I am saying that you have no proof. You have nothing at all. Not a shred, not an iota, nothing. There is nothing here. Never mind fire, you don't even have smoke. Every-time anyone looks at this case with any objectivity, there is nothing that even remotely would be construed by any thinking person as a link between Maura and Vasi. It's not a theory, its pure fantasy. But please, ramble on as I am sure you will. Bill |
Judged: 2 2 2 I believe that delivery express used to deliver Rao's coffee in Amherst. I don't see it on the menu currently but they used to be. Although I'm not sure if delivery express existed in 2004. Delivery express is a delivery service that delivers for several different restaurants around town. |

Judged: 2 1 1 Well now you have really peaked my interest. How does making up evidence help solve mysteries? See, all the stupid stuff I learned over years of school and practice in the field. We were always told that when you connect the dots, there actually needs to be some evidence that the dots you are following exist. But, only if you are really anxious about finding out the truth. If you just want to make up a story, your method is highly effective. I am always eager to learn though so could you tell me how your method of inquiry works? I find your fascination with guessing and just plain making shit up fascinating. Harkens back to the way they did medicine prior to the bubonic plague. And we all know how effective that was. Bill |
