Hey appointed- I got a few major problems with your theory there.
First of all the whole theory is based on her drinking. We know she drank at least some of one drunk, as there was some of it spilled on the ground. That's it. What do think she was pounding Booz on the way up? She probably drank one Drink and then had just refilled when she stopped for gas. The box of wine was in the back seat, she probably wasnt filling her coke bottle off of it while driving, there would be a lot more wine spilled in the car then there was ill tell you that much. She had probably just refilled when she filled up I think that because the coke bottle must have been fairly full to leave a stain big enough to be noticed. So she drank st least one drink, the sbd who Actually spoke to her said she did NOT appear intoxicated. Also both the other witnesses (the westmans and mayotte's) both describe a person going back and forth between the trunk and the car methodically getting her belongings together and sitting there with the door open tryin to get a cell signal. That does not sound like a drunk person. She did exactly what you would expect of anyone, you try to get a cell signal and you get your stuff together if you know your probably not going to stay with your car for the night. No reports of her staggering, or stumbling or falling down in any way, things you might expect a drunk person to do, someone who is so drunk they drive miles off course, took 3 wrong turns and is about to walk blindly into the woods to their death. Nope, she walks around the car getting her stuff together and tries to get a cell signal for a few minutes. There's no way she was going to vt, she knew exactly where she was going. She was headed toward the Lincoln area where there are all sorts of hotels you can just walk in. She would have known Lincoln has many hotels. So she just accidentally takes the wrong exit and 2 wrong turns and happens to be heading for the easiest place to get a hotel in the whole north country? That doesnt sound like common sense to me. She didn't just get off exit 17 and go straight 302 easst, she has to drive through woodsville and take that left. She'd have to be a seriously drunk idiot to still be going the wrong way on 302 after that, and then she has to take that right onto 112. Easy road to miss, not to turn down on accident. There is no way she took that all the way to where she did on accident, no way. She was going the exact right way. She knew where she was going. I cant understand how you think she is so drunk that she's acting half retarded yet she can suddenly run miles up 112 and then walk miles into the woods along some fire trail, miles into the woods to her death never to be seen again?? Wouldn't her body be found along a trail or fire road? In 8.5 years? How did she even know the road existed? Have you ever driven 112 in winter? It's all snowbanks, all of those fire road jeep trails you see in summer basically don't exist in winter. The snowbanks are so huge you can't see them. And she was walking at night, with at best a flashlight from an emergency kit that may or may not exist. You can probably actually see better at night in the snow without the flashlight, either way you know how hard it's gonna be to find a jeep trail if you don't know where to look? Besides for the fact that the fire roads still have 2'+ snow on them. How far you really think she's getting in tennis shoes and jeans with no gloves even? And remember she's so drunk that she's miles off course and sticking rags in her muffler. Are you seeing how ridiculous this theory sounds when you really break it down? I don't know, but to me that doesn't sound like she was very drunk at all. It seems like your whole entire theory is reliant on her being a drunken idiot. |

Judged: 1 1 1 She did everything in plain view of the witnesses with no attampt to hide what she was doing. She got her things together and she walked on down the road to go use the phone or catch a ride to a phone. The most likely scenario here is that she got a ride out of there and was picked up 100yds up the road where the dog lost her scent. That's just makes the most sense. They searched 112 for tracks leading into the woods and found none. They actually searched the whole of 112 up to n woodstock with a helicopter looking for a trail leading into the woods and found none. This is one of the few things scarinza sounds confident of, that she's not in the woods anywhere near the crash site. From this fact they can surmise that she most like got a ride. It seems that LE believ that she got a ride too, Quote: "If she entered a vehicle to get away from the scene, as police believe, they wonder if she knew the driver or if she went with a stranger. So it seems police do believe she got a ride and they did actually admit it once. Her getting a ride makes sense. That just makes the most sense as to why she hasn't been found in the immediate area. There were no trails leading into the woods and they had the advantage of fresh snow. That doesnt mesn she isnt in the woods somewhere else or that she def didn't commit suicide, it just means she got a ride from the immediate area. Think how easy it would have been to hitch a ride for her. Yea she technically could be lost in the woods and just not found, they are some huge woods up here, but it's highly unlikely. She most likely would've tried to find some trail or fire Road to go up and she wouldn't have made it far. She was already shivering and cold when she was at the crash site. How far you really think she could've made jt? Your not saying that you think she was trying to make the backside of cannon are you? What would make her think she could do something like that? She thought these mountains were hard in the summer. ' Makes no sense that she ran miles up the road and then went miles into the woods, it makes a lot of sense that she just simply hitched a ride. But to where? I believe she took a ride from the wrong person and was abducted. Nothing in her life indicates her being a depressed, suicidal person. We have one break down which might not even have been nearly as bad as its made out to be we have no other indications of depression, she wanted to order Dane cook tickets with her friends, she just didn't sound that depressed. I don't see what she had to kill herself over, even the vasi hit. If she didn't care enough to run and then run away to nh til the heat died down then she probably wasn't gonns kill herself over it. Your theory just doesn't make sense. You base the whole thing, including her death, on her being drunk. You say "until the alcohol wears off" and she succumbs to the elements. She didn't even have that much alcohol with her, that whole statement is ridiculous. Again if she's so drunk how's she walking so deep into the woods so good? wouldn't she want to be drunk to make it easier to freeze to deat? We shouldn't she have brought some alcohol with her when she left the car then? All she brought was kahlua, she left everything else behind. Again, COMMON SENSE...you make mention of that but as far as I can tell you don't use it at all. You theory makes. I logical sense on a lot of different levels. |

Judged: 1 1 1 http://climvis.ncdc.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/cag3/hr-... Jan 2004-Jan 2012 precipitation totals. I agree with the fuel stop before the accident, her gauge was near full in NHSP barrack photos of the vehicle. So my theory may have holes from drinking but Maura would want to signal her direction in a subdued way (rag in tailpipe) to avoid a fast find. There are accounts that are dismissed, like drinking in the car (open containers, booze on headliner from crash).Sidenote: maybe she didn't have water, the vino was her only drink in the car. Dont dismiss her strengths as an individual, a runner athlete, a smart girl, a hiker and survivalist. Maura was a survivalist/hiker type in need of getting lost until whatever wore off. Would a human body be well hidden in a dark jacket and grey hoodie, and dark sweatpants? Especially under brush, maybe tree bases or stonewalls? I think I figured it out. If I'm wrong, I'll take the blame for being wrong. I would love to find out she's alive in Canada or somewhere for her family's sake. Maura's family deserves closure, they've been through the hell of it all. As for COMMON SENSE, words typed on this forum don't intimidate me, I know what I saw. Have a good weekend, I'll check on this site Monday. Oh, and I'm not a sleuth or detective or anything like that in law enforcement and I don't need to puff my chest to be understood. Thanks for reading. |

Judged: 1 1 1 That sure did take them a long time to determine the skull is most likely of Asian descent, and it sounds like they're not even 100% sure. They say the skull is most likely of Asian descent and then LE says it would be innapropriate to categorically deny the skull is anybody on particular at this point. So wow, it's what two years later? And that's all the info they got? |
