Paris when you post something that someone else said you are quoting them. In this case you posted words that were from the NY Post but it looked like they were your words.
By using quotation marks then readers know the words are not your own and are being quoted from elsewhere. I hope I've explained this correctly. If not I'm sure someone will correct me.
