Maybe we all deserve a piece of that Idiot of the year award for continuing to post to this forum year after year after year.

Ridiculous wrote: Bob, it is with great solemnity and the deepest reverence that I accept your award for " Idiot of the year".I know how hard it is for you to give up the belt, so to speak. I feel unworthy, but, I will do my best to take up the mantel and follow in the great tradition that you have established. Clearly, it should be of note, that a lowly High School drop out with a GED such as myself,a simple Autodidact, with minimal intellectual ability, feels the weight and responsibility of this award, handed to me by one of Plymouth States finest, at the deepest of levels! I must digress now, however. My moped ran out of gas up on the interstate and the CRVK has been kind enough to offer me a ride to the gas station! Hah!! Great post ridiculous, that was truly funny I gotta give u that, I actually laughed reading it. Glad to hear u accepted it with such reverence for the award's solemn and important nature. Oh, as glad to hear the CRVK gave u a ride to the gas station to get gas for your moped! What a nice guy! glad to hear you didn't end up stabbed to death in the woods like so many women in the north country have. You're lucky, maybe he had some Xmas spirit? Do serial killers celebrate Xmas too? Did u ask him? As long as you ddnt end up murdered in the woods like all those other women, I'm happy...and I'm sure you are too!!

See Bob, The funny thing is, all bitchiness aside, I knew you would laugh at my post ; ) I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, and I'm okay with that, but to get the mighty Bob Father to laugh at a joke directed at him takes a certain, at least elementary ability with wit ; )

Im just in a bad mood cus I got a ticket for having a Manger Scene in my yard & forced to take it down infront of my daughter with her asking me "Why daddy, dont you believe in the 3 wise men & Jesus?".. My manger scene was "offensive" to who?? There are no synogaugs here & I know Jewish people who could care less.. Sterotypes from North & South differ very much.. What is seen in NY, the same people live a "hidden peaceful" life here.. I mean no offense & respect your opinion, just a bad weekend to come home from defending diplomats & they take my Christmas Scenery away.. & JWB.. Yank is a term I used when im angry at a particular set of them.. It is not a slur as u may think im using it as.. I used it when I lived in Brooklyn cus im from Sicily.. Its better than cursing :) & it wasnt a co worker.. It was a dope smoking hippie yank diplomat that I was protecting at christmas time & instead of paying me, complained to my boss & cheated me for saying "Merry Christmas".. How did you get a ticket for this? Was this in your yard? I know people can get warned/fined if they go nuts with their decorations but have never heard of somebody getting fined for this. And I am am California which is full of hippies and dope smokers and damnned liberals and some yankees and I am sure many other groups that have caused you great displeasure. Anyways, Xmas is all fine and good over here on the left coast. I have 2 children in school and they know the meaning of xmas and enjoy it just as much as I did when young. SO I am not sure why you think Xmas is destroyed? To me the holidays is all about family and loved ones. I think there are certain percentages of the population who have a victim mentality constantly or are always looking for something to gripe about. To me those who claim that Xmas is being taken away clearly fit into that category.

I think there are certain percentages of the population who have a victim mentality constantly or are always looking for something to gripe about. To me those who claim that Xmas is being taken away clearly fit into that category. Its a county law that went into effect July 1'st.. You will hardly ever see me gripe about anything (except for people always throwing out what they assume about my personal private life).. Like I said, I was just mad when I posted that.. & the whole liberal thing I happened to hear on tv tbh.. Im not into politics, just got angry & posted what I had happen & I suppose blamed the wrong people??!! I just didnt understand that it was a law & have explanined this in a post after the one you picked to quote.. I needed a county permit & be approved by the church council to have a Manger Scene in my yard, which wouldnt have even been an issue if I would have known.. I also dont like the fact that no employees in any stores in the county in which I live can say "Merry Christmas".. Just because I dont agree with those said things & dont condone drug or alcohol use, doesnt make me have a "victim mentality".. I strongly know what that is being a Psyc Major.. Anyway.. Its one of several stupid laws this county passes each year.. Another one was for people that drink, you can take your own personal bottle of wine into any resturant that is in the county & pay the place (applebees & places like that)$50 to serve it to you.. To each their own.. Honestly, if you would have read a couple of replies down I already explained this.. You wouldnt have been angry if you got a ticket at Christmas time for having a Manger? Its not like I had a "Griswald Christmas".. I have a friend in San Diego that uses that same term "Left Coast", is that a popular term out that way?

@ Hannah & Snowy - Honestly, besides the derogatory comments, name calling, bullies, and just a general consensus for some people to be down right nasty towards others, I enjoy posting with people like yall! Sure, we have to put up with some mean comments on occasion but we all are doing a good thing by keeping the hope & memory alive on this young ladies thread.. We all know we wont solve this case But by actually talking, even if its quote un-quote "off topic", it remains one of the more prominent threads on Topix.. If something ever happened to a family member or myself, I would be thankfull that people cared enough to follow the case for so many years..:-).. Also, in many ways, it is like a "book".. You have all the twist & turns, so many different opinions, some very smart and intellects, your "good" & "bad", plenty of drama, some humor, and sadly some down right rudeness.. Just because we all post & hope & maybe believe that something will come out and then maybe we shall have an ending.. I dont think it makes people "stupid" to actually believe that justice can prevail & to keep the memory of MM somewhat alive on a Message board.. This one thread alone, is one of the most popular on this whole Topix website.. I follow Brianna Maitlands case also, & sadly there arent any threads anywhere close to the magnitude that this one displays.. It takes good hearted people to do what yall do & no one should consider theirselves stupid for doing it..:)

Merry Christmas to you, ED, your beautiful daughter and your loved ones. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone here!

I hope you all have a happy holiday, too. My heart goes out to Maura's family and all families of the missing. I can't imagine how hard it must be for them to celebrate Christmas without knowing what happened to their family member. Hopefully 2013 will be the year they get some closure.

This forum really only takes a few minutes out of my day.

a few times, there have been some folks here who have referenced a forum that used to be on the mmm site. does anyone know whether that forum contained interesting or useful information? i noticed that the forum is no longer there, but i'm curious if there was ever anything enlightening on that forum.

And I do believe we actually have done some good to the case, even if we´re not gonna solve it here on topix. The MM thread is quite short compared to the Holly Bobo thread, which is over 108000 posts and close to 5500 pages. She´s been missing little more than 1½ year! I´m not gonna wish you a happy holiday ;D but a Merry Christmas, which extends to each and everyone reading and posting here. Let´s hope 2013 will bring some answers to the many questions in the MM case, and less fighting and rudeness on the thread.
