Mr. Renner..
Could you PLEASE give us something to theorize about while we wait on your book so maybe some of the rudness towards others might go away? Even if you know the answer, just something "fresh" for us to talk about for awhile.. Your smart enough to know that we are going to be here & many of us are going to purchase your book, so Please just something to take away the same stuff we've been arguing over since Feb.??
It would be much appreciated!!... & Thanks in advance if you do & if you dont, I understand..

Emmett, WHAT??!! you're asking Renner to toss out a bone to sustain a conversation that is beyond the equivalent of beating a dead horse for as almost as many years as MM has been gone?!
no new clues, no substance...and her disappearance is unlikely to be solved by the methods of these online forums.
the craziness is, in reality, what sustains the presence of this thread on Topix.

I think it's possible the red truck was the other vehicle she was traveling with. Part of the reason she lied to the bus driver was she knew this other vehicle would be along soon.

And it was not 20 minutes on the side of the road. At most, it was seven.

I think Fred Murray thinks he's a very good actor.

You also have to take into account the missing 45 minutes that are not accounted for. If you travel the route Maura took from that ATM to the scene of the crash, you're left with an extra 45 minutes. I believe in that time she met up with the other driver and then they were traveling in tandem for a second location, where they would stay the night. I think she was on her way to Canada and the other driver was coming up 93 so they used the Kancamungus to connect.

To answer a couple questions:
1. The evidence overwhelmingly suggests Maura was traveling in tandem with someone she knew that night. If you look at the case from a probability standpoint, the chances of her being abducted in front of three homes in the seven minutes she was alone is nil. Maura was street smart and would never get in a vehicle with someone she did not know out there at night. I believe a plan was hatched that weekend and begun the night she disappeared. The accident was an unforeseen hitch in the plan and it had to be amended on the fly. Unfortunately, it turned whatever she was doing into national news as a missing person case.
2. I do not believe she ever looked for a new car that weekend.
3. I believe several people close to her know where she was going that night.
4. Maribeth made many mistakes in her reporting that I am attempting to correct on my blog and in the book. No disrespect. Every article you read in the paper has a mistake or two. But she got hoodwinked along the way by her sources.
5. The Golden Egg business is bunk.
6. I believe there is a good chance Maura Murray is alive. If I find her I do not intend to give up her location. But I do want the visual proof that she is alive and well.
Maybe a trip to BC would be more fruitful.

In glad to hear Renner elaborate. Thanks. Your assessment is spot on with mine. I believe Fred and her new boyfriend worked together that weekend to hatch a plan to get out of dodge ASAP. The question is motive. Why was she fleeing? Another question: if she did make it out of NH alive, could Maura and her family be liable for the hours of LE working the case?

FM would not only have to be a good actor but possibly Oscar worthy at that. I hope your theory is correct and with the information you have available it makes me consider this angle more so. I still don't feel like LE, with more info than all, considers this to be very probable. JMO.

Maybe not as much as she thought (if she did flee her life), but perception is everything.

yes! mais oui! out-of-country.
but why? running away from.....what?
speculation.

then, again, if this is not so, or she committed suicide in woods (not any particular woods), then i'd be sadly mistaken, and would apologize for having speculated such a thing.

I believe there is a connection to BC. Why She left is still a mystery.

depending on when (IF) she crossed, the trickiest part would have been to gain entry. they were lax at the borders during those years, before it tightened up.
how wonderful it would be if she were alive and well.

"somebody knows" is the chant by our resident flame and nut-thrower. yeah, someone knows, all right...it only makes sense that something was going on in her life that precipitated a plan and her disappearance.
not convinced she ran into foul play.
only speculation. which is often useless, anyway.

BC is just a logical place to go, IMO. you must have some more specific indicator in mind than i do.
Maura lied to say there was a death in the family in order to get out of her classes. again, logically, that tells me she had a plan in place.

I don't know that the theory is necessarily far-fetched. Let's say, for the sake of speculation, that the red truck was the traveler-in-tandem. Based on the information we have about a red truck, it would seem that the truck was ahead of Maura, let's speculate that the driver had realized that and was looking for her (checked down Bunga Road, passed RobinsonOrdway, waited at the Stage Stop and left when could tell for sure that RO was not Maura). If the Saturn in fact had not been running well, then if the red truck driver realized she was not in front of him any longer, he could have reasonably thought she might have taken a wrong turn somewhere around there and had a break-down.
The red truck proceeded on eastward on Rt. 112. Maura's accident on the corner was pretty shortly after the truck left Stage Stop. Let's assume then that the driver of the red truck, after going a ways on Rt. 112 or checking up Bradley Hill Rd, turned and backtracked (thinking Maura would not have gotten THAT far ahead), and arrived just after the SBD parked and went into his house. Maura could have seen the red truck from where she was near the Saturn, and walked down the road to the red truck and off they went. Regardless of what direction the red truck approached from, it would have been clear that the Saturn was on the side of the road -- it would not necessarily have been clear that it had been in an accident, the driver could have thought "Oh, she got stuck" or could have realized she spun out on the curve, but we are not talking major accident here to the point where the red truck driver would necessarily have felt he needed to check on her. Especially if he saw her out walking around the Saturn at the time he got within sight of it.
Yep, If I am ahead of someone "Traveling in tandem" with me and I no longer can see them in my rear view window (for minutes on) I just keep happily speeding along as planned. Eventually they will catch up with me. Wow.

Also if I am running away to canada or the jungles of tanzania, I would probably pack an overnight bag. That makes plenty of sense. Who needs clothes or things.

And if I am maura's father, then of course I am in cohoots with her escaping and starting a new life.

I will even continue (years later) to keep the act job up and go after police and pay investigators just for the spirit of getting one over on the rest of the world.

Wow,(not directed at you advocator) but the though process on here amazes me.

better yet, if I no longer can see the person "Treveling in tandem" with me, then the perfect thing to do would be to pull off the main road of travel and turn onto a side road such as bradley hill road. That's it. I will just randomly sit on bradley hill road for minutes on in and my body heat will attract my travel partner to my location.

I am starting to believe that more everyday. Why is still the question. If this is true I do believe there was someone in the know, whether it be Friends or Family. I will say this "I do not believe Fred Murray knows a thing" He is not that GOOD OF AN ACTOR.

Yes...I have met Mr. Murray.
