if ever you take yourself too seriously...and believe you are a principal in investigating "The Case", stop a moment to consider whether the homeless or abused animals and children could benefit from this outpouring of "careing". fortunately, i make no claim to being a stellar investigator hack.

Doesn't that mean that Faith was actually the last person to see Maura? Or are we to believe that wasn't Maura at the car? It was the lookalike or some other phantom? Bill

Just for the sake of curiosity, anyone know whatever happened to Billy Rausch?(Beside's his sister's tragic death). Did he get married or move on; is he still involved in pursuing the case at all?

I'd say you're got my number, and thanks for saying as much. First day back at the job now. I do have some cool news for the forum!!!!!!!!!! Our lady from channel 5 news here in MN is going to help me out. She's going to see about sending me the news archives with maura murray. The first news accounts. We were talking other business for commercials and then I had a real long talk with her. Told her to watch the disappeared series too and she has enough pull to put this back on the news here. Nation wide even, and all because when I told her about it she could see i was bringing it to life for her and she's intigued! I'll let people know when I get the clips. Since Helena chalked me off her list, i'll be sending it toJames renner and everyone can watch there. But the bigger news would be an update by channel 5 news on this story from 2004. Gotta go. It's great to be back at work! Well, kind of, I miss my heated blanky.

WTH-the-original wrote: Same set of articles. Just a little farther down. Odd. Says she lied to her professors about a death in the family. Says she would be gone for a week. That would be a seven day head start that she would have before anyone would have been looking for her, if it wasn't for the accident while drinking. I find that a very interesting insight into what she was trying to do. But hey, what do I know. And instead of throwing in the towel after the accident, she took off and tried to keep to the plan. A very driven individual. Or her plan changed into something else. Regardless, either plan required her to get away from the car, rapidly. Bill <quoted text> Damn this is funny, you can't possibly be this thick, you just can't be. I know you're more intelligent than this so why are you pretending that you don't understand this? Or are your preconceived notions that strong that your vision I things is really that blurred. Yes she emailed her professors and her boss, the two people that DEFINITELY would not be looking for her under any circumstance. This isn't a career she had, it was some stupid little college job; you don't show up, you get fired, that's it. They don't go lookin for you, you'd be lucky if they even called you one time. College jobs like that have extremely high turnover as far as employees go, it is VERY common for college students to just stop showing up for work, anyone knows this. So she emailed the people that would NOT be lookin for her but rather would need an excuse for the time off so she could still have her job when she returned and not fail her courses either. The fact that she emailed both her teachers and her job shows an obvious intention for her to return the following week, what else could it possibly show? Notice she didn't say anything to her friends or family, the only people that MIGHT be looking for we the first week. Probably because she was only going to be in Nh and she could call her family and they wouldn't be worried about her. Your whole ASSUMPTION here is not based on any reality that happens in the real world. Yea, she emails the people that definitely wouldn't be looking for her but she would need to email in order to return, that means she was trying to get a head start, sure dude, that makes a real lot of sense lol. I just can not believe that anyone actually believes what you're writing, it is just so ridiculous and so not based in reality, it's insane actually. Either that or it's complete bullshit, which is what I suspect it to be. You know it's bullshit, I know it's bullshit, & I'm sure a lot of other people reading this do as well, except for like 4-5 other people and i think it's pretty obvious who they are.

Bill's ego must be so large by now, or perhaps he's just blushing in the corner, from having such an ace be the judge his intelligence. i'm sure he'll return the compliment, but only if persistence counts for a certain kind of intelligence. oh, look! that gent over there is showing signs of a bloodied head from banging it against the wall! all the flattery in the world doesn't help with the futility of the argument.

Bill <quoted text> I just wanted to point out the absurdity of this statement. She did a lot of things that night but get away from the car rapidly was one thing she did NOT do. She was at the car for at least 10 mins, more like 15 mins. Even after the SBD left she was at the car for at least 5 mins, probably closet to 10 considering the fact that a witness reported her being at the car just 2 mins before LE arrived. We know that it took Smith 19 mins to get to the scene that means she must've been at the car a solid 15 mins, not exactly leaving the car 'rapidly' by any NORMAL person's definition of rapidly. Bottom line is she could've grabbed her stuff and been out of there in under 30 seconds flat if she wanted to, that's what any normal person would consider rapidly leaving the car; but she didn't. She was at the car for a good 15 mins. If this girl was soooo scared of the cops that she was about to walk blindly into the woods to her death do you really think she would've stayed at the car so long? You say her whole plan hinged on her getting away from the car rapidly, since she obviously didn't do that i think it's safe to assume whateve you ASSUME her plan was is completely wrong. Assumptions assumptions by mr. assumption himself; some really really wrong assumptions too. Everything you're saying is based on what your assummption of the situation is and if u analyze what was REALLY going on it's pretty obvious that your assumptions are just completely wrong.

IDK, maybe i'm missing something but I don't see anyone having any sort of delusion that they're investigating the case, certainly not a 'principal in the case'; or are going to solve the case by postiing here on topix. Seriously, i want to know whaat you're talking about bc if someone does think they're actually investigating the case by commenting about it on a forum then that is pretty delusional, only problem i see with what you're saying is i've never seen anyoone make that claim. Ezcept for maybe weeper, who stopped posting a couple yearss ago and was actually an investigator who worked the case for the family, not on topix but rather on the ground, a real investigation. He was an ex state police Lt. who actually worked the case so he had a right to say that, but i've seen nobody make any sory of claims like you're descrbing. Maybe you could quote the post you're referring to? Does someone actually say they're investigating the case here on topix? Did someone actually claim to be a principal in the case? Did I miss something? Please explain, or quote what yyou're referring to please. What you said makes sense except for the fact that I haven't seen anyone make any claims like that for a long time, and the only one i ever saw actually make those claims was actually an investigator who worked the case. Is this just another exagerration or was this claim actually made by ssomeone?
