Freekin weirdos Oh Bobby, You don't give yourself any credit at all. Enough of this modesty. You have worked very hard for the recognition you get here. You have not only broken all previous records for the amount of words in one post, but, you have set a standard that will likely remain for a long time to come. I know how uncomfortable you are discussing literature, but, lets be honest, you have written the same book here ten or twelve different times, with just a slight tweak here and there in the language. This is no trivial feat and you do yourself a disservice trying to downplay this incredible contribution. Bask in the glow of your accomplishments my dear man..Who the hell am I? None other than our very own writer, critic, commentator and anatomically aware Bobby Jenkins. ; )

whatif wrote: back around the holidays, between thanksgiving and christmas, i had posted a handful of times just some observations and questions and thoughts on various aspects of maura's disappearance. then i happened to read a long-timer's post to a different newcomer exhorting them to go back and read and catch up to all the information and questions and speculation and documentation that is already known or has been discussed since the disappearance. while i think the exhortation may have been made sarcastically, it also struck me as a good idea. so i stopped posting and started reading. since then, i've gone through all nine forums at the web sleuths site, through the entirety of renner's blog, the wikipedia entry, the current mauramurraymissing.com site and myspace page, every news article that i find or come across, and am now up to page 200 on this topix thread. eventually, i will catch up to you all here at this end, and i still have advocate's archived forum to explore after i've caught up here. i just wish i could've explored the old mauramurraymissing.com forums before they got pulled offline. anyhow, just wanted to drop in and say hi and let you all know there is someone crazy (obsessed?) enough to go back and read as much available material on maura's disappearance as can be found online. then when i come back and comment more, at least i can reduce the risk of being dismissed as an ignorant newbie. have a great sunday and have fun watching the super bowl, if that's your thing. why obsessed? why MM and not any number of other worthy missing people? why so compelling a story? thanks for checking back. enjoy super bowl...i watch the ads.:)

I don't think that any questions you might have that wouldn't have already been answered since there are so few facts. But it will certainly be interesting to hear from someone who has done his/her research. And Ridiculous, you are killing me with some of your comments. Too funny. Wowzer the real one wrote: <quoted text> Jenkins what do you think it would be if the posters here just talked about Maura and nothing else? Since there hasn't been any new information in a long time the conversation would have to consist of talking about the same things that have been talked about already over and over again for 9 years. It would get boring and people would soon get sick of it and leave. Isn't it better to keep the people coming here which will keep her name out there? I see nothing wrong with a little humor. I look forward to the humorous posts by Ridiculous. If you think his posts are ridiculously stupid and pointless then you are doing the right thing by scrolling on by but I'm going to stop and read, and laugh. Nothing wrong with talking about other stuff besides Maura but the appetite seems to be lets attack those that want to talk about Maura. Talk about books, sewing or whatever but If you have nothing to say about the topic then maybe either be kind with your conversation or say nothing at all.

ha ha ha ha ha so funny that one can ridicule others that legitimately want to talk about (topic thread). Very funny and admirable to piss on others and not have any input to the forum at all. Keep up the good work. You are helping the conversation of the thread by every post you make. My advice is to dump the old bag Snowy and re examine why you came here in the first place and what this forum was started for. Ask yourself 1) Have I imputed anything to help stimulate the search for Maura. 2) Am I here because I care what happened to Maura. I see Q 1) No and Q2) no with you ridic No evidence to say otherwise.

citigirl wrote: <quoted text>there was a red truck pulled over early tuesday morning. I cant recall the location. just because they pulled this truck over it does not mean there was a connection to Maura. red was a very popular color that year. RO saw a red truck while walking to the store and in the parking lot of the store. there was someone else that had said they saw a red truck on BHR. A poster in the past had mentioned a red truck parked at or near the Umass area that had ties to NH. no one to my knowledge has ever stated a red truck was seen in the Umass parking lot before Maura left. I think you misunderstood Tang. It is unknown if these sightings of the truck were all the same truck.dont even know if a red truck was invoved in Mauras disappearance. Yes I know about the red truck sightings and the truck that was pulled over at 5:26am the next morning, along with several other trucks, a couple others being red as well. I agree that in all likelihood the truck pulled over that tang pointed out has absolutely nothing to do with anything, but tang implied that it did. Maybe I misunderstood what he said, but that's why I asked him to explain which, surprise surprise, he didn't. It certainly seemed like he implied all of the sightings, including the one in the umass parking lot were the same truck and by pointing out the 5:26 truck he obviously implied that was THE red truck. Personally I think there's no way it's the same red truck, tang actually made a couple 2-3 posts implying that truck was THE truck. I would love to know how he reached that conclusion and if there's anything to it, or if that's just what he thinks. He said something about the 5:26am tuck having connections to the area and to umass, which is a direct impication that the truck may be connected. He also said something about it having NH temp tags on it, which do have red writing. RO said that it was possible the truck had temp tags with red writing on them but she was pretty convinced that the truck had mass plates. She said she looked down at the plates just out of habit and that she noticed theyere mass plates and remembered it bc they weren't NH plates. But she also wasn't expecting anyone to go missing around the corner and didn't pay THAT much attention to them, she just noticed they were mass plates. back on the old MMM forum I intereacted with RO many times both on the forum and by email specifically about the red truck. Also while red trucks may have been a popular color that year it is not a 2004 red truck that is the truck in question. The truck RO saw and described was made from the mid 80's through the early 90's, it was not a new truck. It had to have been over 10 yrs old, just in the interest of accuracy.

I see it this way - You have 4 long time posters been here and have spent way to much time getting banned from other forums and yelled at over the years from others because of the abuse that give out to others that want to talk about Maura. You may have started caring about Maura but it is now different. They ( big 4) yell windmill- because they are bored and have nothing to give anymore. This is their life and they can't stop posting and so have nothing to do but insult people. Enter new posters with no research - Those that try to give input or questions are slammed cause it is boring to those that have been here (big 4) 9 plus years, Is that right? absolutely not!!! help educate nicely if they are interested in Maura. Then the other crowd that comes here such as Ridic that knows nothing about the case but is Mr funny insulting. The old crew(big 4) just loves cause then they can rest. Think about it? This is just an entertainment game and has nothing to do with finding Maura Murray and that is just wrong.
