Speaking of the computer ... I wonder if a defunct email address can be "hacked", does anyone know? What I mean is, suppose Maura had an online email account such as Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. Presumably her emails on that account could still be in place online -- if someone only had the email address but not the password, would there be a way that the emails could be accessed?

If the account is still on a server somewhere it could most certainly be hacked. As for password cracking, there are software for this purpose, takes anywhere from 1 hour to 1 month depending on how complicated the password structure is.

As much as you want people to believe that Maura has been forgotten by the people here there is a very nice article in the Northcountry News this week. They have put an article in their paper every Feb.since she became missing.
If anyone wants to read it it's online.

Beagle's claims to being vandalized were very specific to being MM related.
within the framework of muti-monikers and flurries of posts, he previously detailed that connection. they were likely deleted.
therefore, recent newcomers have known Beagle mostly for his vids.

Couldnt pay me enough to touch that!!! Also, it being from 04, all info from yahoo or hotmail has been gone! You can get the account back but not the emails that were on there.. It coulda been done a few years ago & if you really want it, you have to hack not only the email but the server that host it..
Not the smartest thing to do concerning a missing woman!! Too much risk, no reward.. 99.9999% chance nothing is there..

Bottom line is there's absolutely nothng that even comes closs as fa as evidence is concenered to link the vandalism and posting on this thead. There's a couple pics I've seen of some minor damage to his yarrd, and there's alost three different stoies of when and why it got vanalized. I think it''s a VERY safe assumption to assume te two ae unelated/

Your recollection of people "claiming" to have had some sort of vandelism done to their property is 100% accurate. Obviously someone was not reading here as long as they claim. Yes, maybe still in the womb. ;-)

Hey Wowzy- can you provie a link to the actual article about Maura in the NCN this week?
I'm sure it's just me but I couldn't find it in the current online edition. Saw a nice article about the white mt's getting an america the beautiful quarter, and several other articles about some other crap but couldn't find an article about MM.

I obviously can't speak for Shack but she makes a good point about the lack of local media coverage on this case. There's been several artticles yea, but considering the size of the investigation the NHSP conducted and the fact that a young innocent girl was likely abducted from the area, I would think there would've been a lot more media coverage. I'm pretty sure the local articles on the subject can be counted on 2 hands, that's pretty weak considering we got a missing girl on our hands.

Are there no real journalists in NH? No investigative journalists? What's up with that? I would think there would've been a journalist that would'vee been all over this case the way Renner was 8 years later, but I guess not.
There's a serious problem with journalism today, seems like the day's of ttrue investigative journalism is dead, people that would really dig into a story and bring new facts to light. I always felt that was what this case needed, and while eventually we got Renner he was just too little too late.
In NH I feel that the journalists were scared to dig into this case for real, they're scared to piss off LE. The fact of the matter is that most of their stories come from LE, they rely on LE to spoon-feed them info so they can write their stories. I fell they're afraid to really dig into anything and make the police look bad bc then they won't get any good quotes for their next story,, or they won't be fed stories first, or whatever.

In realiaty it's not just NH, it's the whole country, naional media and local alike. Nowadays they just write what they're told by LE, or the Gov't or whatever, this is why all the news stories on almost all topics are pretty much the same thing. Nobody is digging, investigating anything anymore.
Sad to say the days of investigative journalism is dead from what I can tell.

But Shack is right about what she says, there is a serious lack of local new articles on MM and there has been from the start, it's sad. IMO if this forum, and others like it, didn't exist then this story would've been forgotten about years ago by the media. Sad but true
