I don't know what you mean by "IF" did you not see the police report? Maybe the school was waiting to see the outcome of the probation, or maybe she wrote a letter explaining it was a mistake. But to say "IF" she was involved when she signed a confession is silly.
If West Point asks you to leave, they aren't going to be jerks and hold back your credits. If your not cadet material and they ask you to leave, it doesn't mean that the courses you accumulated shouldn't be transferred.
I don't mean to pick on you MCSMOM but it just looks like you are grasping at straws to try to erase any wrong doing from the person who went missing. If you want to erase or rewrite the history of the person who went missing you will probably never find the truth that happened to them.
Life has taught me never to assume the obvious, but I was referring to West Point, not UMASS.

I have seen this question raised several times here and on other sites.."credit card fraud....why was she working security?" Please understand that she was not carrying a gun and a badge and a walkee talkee and sworn to uphold the laws of the land til her death. The way I understand it, this security job was nothing more than a few students in the lobby of each dorm after hours checking ID's of the students coming in and making sure they belong there. Had these when I was in school. Mostly a chance to quietly do homework, catch up on sleep, read a book or perhaps in this case, leave for an hour and run down a pedestrian. A very low key job with little supervision. I think I read that her supervisor covered 16 dorms all over campus and only made it to each one only once a night.
Area Supervisor for Residence Hall Security:

Not sure why you posted the job listing, but thx Mom. If you are referring to the clean criminal and judicial record, I must point out that Maura was not a supervisor, which this listing is for. Possibly not the same standard. OR I don't know how their process works but action on her arrest was stayed for 3 months and was due to be dropped with her good behavior on the 14th or thereabouts so it amounts to being charged, not convicted. Maybe since to all appearances she was a good student and person, they let her stay employed.

oh, dear. seems like BillNH has reality-based thought processes and may act as a myth-buster. hang on, as the wind blows hard, sir. we've all taken a crack at this to tamp down the infusion of nonsense and exaggerated claims made about MM's abilities and accomplishments. welcome.
HAHA Snowy. I will certainly give it some effort. I must say though, after reading through page after page of the posts here and really struggling to find any mention of the topic I was tempted to run away.(not into the woods though, exposure and all that). I do promise to stay on topic as long as I am here.

Just one more thought, unless you have an archive of 9 year old UMASS job listings, it is possible that this was not a requirement in 2004.....maybe they made it a requirement BECAUSE of Maura Murray..dun dun duuunnn. just sayin'.

Not sure how long I will stay interested. I moved to the area about a year after Maura disappeared so I knew about it but didn't really know anything about it. A recent facebook post from a friend who now lives in Mr. Forcier's house (the guy who thought he saw someone running down the road 4-5 miles east of the accident scene) got me interested about 6 days ago. Since then I have been reading everything I can find about it. Imagine my surprise to find out from the many posters here that the local police are corrupt, the state police are incompetent and every one of my neighbors is a potential rapist/serial killer/murderer ready at any second to take advantage of someone in distress and perform some evil deeds on unsuspecting young ladies just because we live in a rural area with lots of forest and rivers to hide all the bodies. 8 years here and I had no idea. Figured if I want to be considered a local I need to get up to speed on what the locals do for fun...so here I am.

Hmmm...and no one asks "what do you know about Mr. Forcier BillNH?"

Is this the Maura Murray thread? or did I stumble into the wrong room?

I checked in 2003, it was part of their pre employment questionnaire, interview.

I'm pretty sure there was crime before Maura.

So, what's in your basement?

ok so Forcier...

This may have already been discussed but I couldn't find anything about it.

He lived on the corner of Bradly Hill Road in a trailer while remodeling the house on the same property. He would never let LE on his property and they had no probable cause to insist. Years ago he pulled the trailer and as soon as it hit public property(the road), LE swarmed and searched. Nothing.

That house was sold in October 09'. 2nd day the new owners were in the house, LE knocked on the door and asked to search. They let them. Nothing. House, property, all buildings. They searched again in 2010 with some different people/equipment. Nothing. March/April 2012 the cadaver dog team was in the area on another matter, LE took advantage of that and had the dogs search also. Property and all buildings. Nothing found.

Forcier, who many speculated had Maura buried in the yard somewhere apparently did not.

If I were to guess I don't think Mr. Forcier wanted to get involved at first maybe he didn't want to come forward and be a suspect. After some reward money is posted maybe he figured 75K was worth the people raising questions about his character. Thats the only way I can understand why he waited so long.

F never claimed to see Maura running from the scene. F never contacted LE. He told a neighbor in April of 04 which is several months after Maura disappeared that he had seen a young youth running while on his way home from a job in Franconia. It was the neighbor whom contacted LE not F. This is why LE searched part of 116 and 112 near 116 in July of 2004.

The reward money was 40.000 with the safe return of Maura. so Im not sure where you are getting the 75k figure from.

Hi Citigirl...it doesn't seem to matter what the amount of money is offered for information.
BUT, there will come a day when a conscience will
eat at ones mind and soul. Someone has the answer.
Many crimes have ben solved many years later.
NH is where Maura disappeared. NH has to answer.

$100,000...???? Would the NH State Police, Haverhill Police Dept. Grafton County or Cold Case
Unit not accept ANY information/clue.

The monies could be added to the CCU.

Shack - I have always thought since there wasn't any signs of struggle that MM would have enetered a vehicle of a male and female on her own will. The female would make her feel more comfort than being in a car with a man alone. I think after 9 years eventually couples fight and break up and if she did get into a car someone would have came forward already, or mentioned this to a friend who then would have went to LE. The fact that this hasn't happened and the case is cold makes me think MM ran away from people and died in the mountains alone.
