IMO whether it was searched on the road or its destination doesn't realt matter, the point is that it was searched. I also heard his property was searched after he moved but the way I heard it was just a rumor & No way to substantiate it.
It's interesting you heard all that & that LE actually brought cadaver dogs to his property.
So clearly the CW is or was a poi in this case. Of they searched his property that tough they thought there was a possibility he wa responsible, that is clear. It's up for debate how likely they think it is but they clearly thought with some certainty there was a reasonable expectation of finding something, or otherwise they wouldn't have wasted their time or resources. If they thought he was that much of a poi they probably still think it, I doubt they eliminated him bc she wasn't found on his property.
