Three points.
First, slander (or in written form, "libel") must be false or at least published with malice. The post that I authored merely states that pictures taken inside the home, from the MLS listing, help illustrate observations reported in the Conway article. There is nothing false about this. I, in fact, copied the picture from the MLS. Further, I harbor no malice. I simply wished to illustrate the occupant's observations as reported to Conway. So your "slander" argument fails.
Second, I did not tag the post with their address (although I did mention the address). I mentioned the address because I believe that one should credit a source. I borrowed the picture from the MLS and did not want to take the credit. But I was not intentionally advertising the address.
Third, it is unlikely that a prospective buyer will scroll through three pages of Google searches about the house unless the prospective buyer is already looking for something.
I think that it's a beautiful home. The buyers will be lucky to have it. And, at least in my opinion, it's proximity to Maura's ribbon only enhances it's value.
I have to wonder if the people near that curve that only tried to help Maura could imagine that nearly 10 years later they would still have people taking pictures of their yards and homes and still being accused of being guilty of something concerning Maura's disappearance.
I wonder if the person that took the pictures had permission because to be honest if I saw someone in front of my house taking pictures of my yard and home I would get their marker number and call the police.
One picture was taken from the SBD's driveway. New people live there now. Another was taken directly across from the W's house. Pretty big nerve if permission wasn't asked IMHO. It's no wonder people are moving from that area.

Just curious. How do you figure Maura's ribbon enhances the houses value?

Permission is not needed so long as the pictures were taken from public property or from the property of the picture taker. Those photos appear to be taken from the street and therefore are perfectly legal.

That's what I said.
If I was taking a picture of someone's home or yard (which I wouldn't cause I think it's wrong) I would show respect by asking them if they would mind if I took the pictures.

I never said that the picture was taken without permission. I said only that the photographer wished to remain anonymous.

In fact, I tend to think that the photographer did ask permission. Do you have information that I don't?

The area in question generates public interest due to Maura's disappearance. I'm sure it's annoying for locals, but life isn't fair. Time to accept things for what they are and move on. The victim card got old a long time ago.

As to your 3rd point. You are very wrong. Anyone who wants to know any history about a prospective home skips right past the first 2 or 3 pages since they are all just various listings of the same address. How many times do you need that same info from different sites. Actual "news" about the address follows all that. I marrotte's case the "news" is how someone disappeared nearby and all the neighbors are suspects. How unfortunate for them. But as Tyler says, life's not fair, right?

Wowzer, being on the old sbd driveway without permission is wrong and could be considered tresspass, but being on a street taking pics happens daily and is perfectly ok.You don't need to ask

They sold oj simpsons home no problem
By the way BillNH I think you just pushed it to page 2 by mentioning the "M's" house again.Soon you will want to picket the Discovery ID show from replays lf the accident.

Hey.I am sure the locals there wish it would go away and I get that.If you stay away from these forums then it is relatively quiet on the subjuct and has little to no bearring on the lives of those in the area.I believe you said that you have lived in the area for 9years and recently became aware of the case because of your friend.

There are few people outside these forum walls that remember the case

Please notice the "I wonder" and the "if permission wasn't asked".
And since I don't know what information you have I don't know if I have any information that you don't so it's impossible to answer your question.

You should reread my post. It discusses the Marrottes' opportunity to view Maura's car. I don't discuss neighbors let alone accuse them of wrongdoing.

Tyler is right. Life's not fair; a college student shouldn't vanish without a trace.

There are no more clues to be found, that venue was long since exhausted by LE, PIs, FM , Silky and more. To go snooping around the neighborhood 10 years later is downright creepy.

Topix is actually our biggest website referrer; 1,049 people have clicked on a link, on Topix, to the blog (860 from topix.com and 189 from topix.net ).

But whenever I've posted a link, I've accurately portrayed the content.

Bill's assessment has no basis in reality. Therefore, he deserves the credit for any traffic he drove to the blog.

For the record, Bill, I have never believed that someone who lived in the immediate vicinity of the crash site was involved in Maura's disappearance.

I did not post your blog. I did not post the address . The more hits on that part of your blog where you posted the address the more popular it becomes. The more popular it becomes the higher up on the search list it goes. Don't pass your mistakes onto me. Yes it's not fair that a 21 year old girl went missing. Whatever the circumstances it was controllable by only 1 person. Your part in it, like so many others before you is that you feel that the missing young lady is more important than anyone else's rights or expectation of fairness and that is what is not based in reality. I will say once again...these are real people you are drawing into this for no other reason than your desire to "crack the case". Posting their address is entirely irresponsible and that's on you and you only. The owners of that house have put years off heir life I to it and the unjust negative aspects of the discussion has the potrntial to Alter the plans they made for their lives. It's wrong and it's you that is perpetuating it for your own selfish reasons.
