Are you crazy wrote: <quoted text> A black backpack a year later outside a public bahroom near a trailhead after 4 seasons of activity and it makes you ill? That is a bit dramatic even for you. I do like how Sam and Tyler, so interested in Maura's well-being, not once suggest that the poster follow up with the NHCCU. Yup, no ego issues there. Agreed. Heck, if it was near a port-a-potty, it could of been someones's who was taking a dump. Also, a full year of rain, snow, sleet, etc. would ruin it. That poster who said they found it either is really dramatic, or is someone making stuff up to bring more traffic to that blog.

For those that want to say that BA was so tormented that the stress of the Maura incident caused his death just look at the health issues BA had.(See JR Blog)

Also, interesting that BA also believed that maura was picked up by someone albeit friend or foe.

Typical backpackers dont carry beer&cigarettes..Most hikers dont stash a backpack in the woods to use the facilities..Someone driving in wouldnt drag a backpack with party goods from the car to use the restrooms..MANY of the higher end backpacks are waterproof and probably would withstand 1 year of elements. Didnt LE find underwear over at Lincoln woods(close by) that were tested for DNA?IMO this backpack could be just as important..What makes me ill is the fact that maybe it was never checked out by LE.

IF MM was picked up by a vehicle it would likely have happened where the dog lost her scent - right in front of SBD´s driveway. SBD was said to have spent time out in his bus doing paperwork. Wouldn´t he have seen her being picked up or seen a vehicle stop right in front of him? SBD may have known or seen something never made public and was told by LE to keep it to himself, hence his somewhat inconsitent statements.

There was a period of time where he was inside his house and we really don't know how long that was nor we will ever know(publicly) if he saw something from his bus.Good Job by JR to get one more interview with her. I look forward to his book. I would also like to see an interview from Mrs Champy who drove by the crash while LE was there.

Now, I can't help wondering who the NH state trooper was to whom the finder of the backpack reported his discovery. I hope it wasn't the very same enigmatic state trooper whose whereabouts at the time of Maura's disappearance seem to be shrouded in question marks all over the place IMHO.

Can you post a link to this bit of news? I'm thinking this Sam person has a blog too? I'll have to read what all was said but for now my gut tells me this is not a true lead.

Overdoing it a bit aren't you? Nothing odd about a hiker smoking, lots of them do it. And didn't Maura, a casual hiker, carry a Long Trail beer on a hike to share with Fred when they reached the summit? I doubt she was the only one to do it, probably happens more often than not. Further, if I was a lone hiker and had to take a dump I might hide my pack off the trail while I was occupied. Party goods? Exaggerate much? The backpack may have been waterproof but I doubt it was heated. The can of beer would have frozen and exploded, as posted on Sammy's blog, after a December, January or February outside. And you know that the panties were found on French Pond road, the opposite direction from the crash scene and a long ways from where the backpack was "discovered". As long as you have been following this I can only surmise that you are trying to influence newer readers of this forum with the drama and purposefully misleading information. That's what makes me ill.

Ah yes, back to the Trooper being involved. You do realise that if he really was involved in MM's disappearance as you are implying, then he would know that the found backpack had nothing to do with MM, right? And conversely if he didn't have anything do to with MM's disappearance then your statement is even more ridiculous? Tiresome and predictable.

The backpack, and stolen gas card story are too far out for me. Of all the odds,-that a person with good info,-leads would sometime later post to these cyber pages is too bizarre Reminds me of the Canadian and hunk encounter ~Just flat unlikely. JMO

SO- BA gee 2 poly tests- I never thought BA was a suspect since it has been shown that Maura was still at her car when he left but Geeze I guess it wasn't that far fetched to at least talk about him and his relationship to the case.LE sure thought it was worthy to look at. I have never heard anyone blame SBD since I have been posting but you would have to be a dumb ashe not to at least look that way. Same goes for CW . Give me an example why not. I would bet cash that CW was given a Poly.
