She returned her scrubs. She cleaned out her trash. She did it on a Monday to give herself a decent head start on police, the college, and her father. She'd been thinking about it for at least 6 months and the crash on Sat. night was the last straw and her motivation. She was never coming back. And the fact that she was looking for two-room cabins and hotels, the missing 45 minutes, and her quick escape from the accident scene in NH,(and the londonderry ping) suggests she was meeting someone up there for the night. That is the person who picked her up from the side of the road. Well lets take a little look at some of this. James Renner wrote: She took what was important to her and left behind what might be important to other people. Really? Based upon what, other than your say? James Renner wrote: On top she left that email from Billy about how he slept with Julie's friend. Again, really? You have a copy of that email? How are you privy to its contents? James Renner wrote: She returned her scrubs. She cleaned out her trash. People return things, and empty trash. Why is this out of the ordinary? James Renner wrote: She did it on a Monday to give herself a decent head start on police, the college, and her father. I have been saying that for eight or nine years. As speculation, a possibility. What makes you say it as fact? James Renner wrote: She'd been thinking about it for at least 6 months and the crash on Sat. night was the last straw and her motivation. She was never coming back. None of it backed up by documents, sworn statements, or verified in some other fashion. Some of the theories are laughable. Some plausible but again. I can give hundreds of plausible scenarios. What has any meaning, is the ability to prove them with evidence. Something you have lacked in the entire course of this "investigation". OK, one more. James Renner wrote: the fact that she was looking for two-room cabins and hotels, What makes it a "fact" that she was looking for two-room cabins and hotels. You say it is a fact? How do you know that? You do know most hotels and cabins are suitable for two people, right? WALOC Bill

I think bill made the point well and really if you go through it line by line it is all assumption stated as fact. Some of the assumptions are tenuous at best. There was no need to making up an excuse for her professors but she did and used the only excuse that she could use to get an excused absence from a program like she was attending. police would not have been looking for her just for leaving school. Any theory containing that premise must be discarded. simple rules of logic dictates this. the police were not involved in till after she crashed if it wasnt for her family traveling north and saying she was missing they would have never even filed a missing persons report. people leave their cars after accident. generally when drunk driving and the police don't file missing persons reports if this person doesn't show up at the police station the next day.

No, police would not have filed a missing person report. How could they when they stated they thought it was Fred driving the car. That maybe he just "parked" it like some guys do=-to go snowmobiling.... Course, that could be hearsay, Sharon is the one who claims the police said that. Sarcasm aside, they called Freddy Jr first only to find that it was the wrong Fred, wrong house. Then Kathleen, then the real Fred. But he wasn't home yet so it went to his answering machine. Meanwhile Kathleen got ahold of Fred and let him know the bad news. Freddy Jr tried to get a missing report going and was told to do it in his own state. Fred drove through the night to get there by dawn and file a missing person report. He was no doubt unraveled already....what the heck was going on with his little girl? Could she be doing the walk? Sharon was in the room to hear this. But even she claimed police were lying by taking those words to the bank. All this after saying they thought it was Fred driving....wonder why. And they didn't allow Sharon to take notes, said they'd give her a copy of what was said, but they did not. Not picking on police, just showing what a jerk I can be, I guess. The family was just in shreds and those first words were part of the frustration phase. Not to wonder out loud if the pressure had gotten to Maura would be more than weird. At first, they had to rattle on-what else could they do? Noone seemed to see it coming, especially Sharon who seems to have been in the dark about the continuing relationship troubles between her son and Maura. Rose colored glasses all the way. They corrected those kinds of thoughts though, regrouped and moved on to other wonderments of what else could have happened. I agree with most everything you said but to think that it's all cut and dry from there is wrong too. My batteries going out 7% power 2 minutes ago- a race to post, see ya'll tomorrow. Hey and thanks to my well wisher, good night :)

Cash doesn't really help buying a car, but it is almost certainly needed to secure a apartment at short notice because landlords don't want to have a check bounce after going into a lease. I see $5000 cash -"Saturday looking" and a dorm packed and one would have to atleast say it is very plausable that she was moving out.

Are you saying that you no longer believe Maura's father aided her? Are you going to explain how you know as fact that she "was never coming back"? Or is that an assumption on your part? Was she really looking at "two-room cabins"? I never read that. The only place I ever saw mentioned was the Salamone's condo. I don't think that was a cabin, was it? James do you have any comment?

The Salamone rental was two bedrooms. She'd been there before.

James follow me here. -She gets word late in the week she can't stay at the dorms anymore -Her sister calls her and she flips out because dad has to spend $$ an apartment -Her father comes to town to help look for an apartment -Not being able to sleep in dorms she "returns" the car to sleep at hotel -Since she can't find a place that weekend - she needs to wait for her father to come back and find another aptartment or the apartment isn't available until the following weekend. Rather than deal with the stress of telling people why she has to leave the dorm. She decides to leave for a short week until father returns to continue apartment search or move. Once she find the place she can move into apt and tell friends she wanted to live off campus. - She looks into places she is familiar with because she needs a place short notice just for a week. - You tube Disappear episode from FM - "she was going to Bartlett she could get a room there..." About 11 minutes into episode. - On her way she was drinking and driving and she crashed. - Panicked she ran I see nothing to show me she was looking to run away - atleast not until the car crash. There is also a chance she found a place to live, but couldn't move in until later on in the week. Just my opinion.

Lighthouse, I really like this theory, it answers so many "why"'s and only opens up one more. Why did she have to leave the dorms? She stole from someone else? Someone was stalking her? At least the answers to that "why" don't have to be too far fetched.

I like this. It's simple. Though I still think she was traveling with someone or meeting someone up there. But I think this makes a lot of sense. I'll have to dig it up but someone also said she was applying for jobs at bars and restaurants that weekend, too. Another bit of supporting evidence. And to answer Lisac's question, universities often have their own quasi-judicial reviews. Could be, even though she avoided probation for the credit card stuff, the university was going to expel her anyway.

Second I'm not sure why I'm being thrown into the conspiracy theory, freemason code garbage that's been going on. It's quite entertaining but Tbh I'm still stuck on the Boston Pizza thing from awhile back so you can leave me out of it. Lastly to BF, u r right. Any team with Gretzky would have to be one of the best.
