Maybe he was just being optimistic, but that is a pretty bold statement considering. The Zantop murders were horrible and credit is due to Landry. If he had made that statement early on in the investigation, it could scare away the very person who made the call, and the call may have been much ado about nothing. |

Judged: 4 3 3 My question is how can he determine the call to be a case breaker or of any significance when NO one knows who called or what the call consisted of? There are are whole lot of other unanswered questions that likely hold much more weight than the phone call. |

Judged: 1 1 In big cases like that, there really is rarely one person working separately of everyone else enough to make claim to 'breaking the case'. It was very much a team effort and both Chuck and Todd, along with others, were involved. |

Judged: 3 2 2 I had nothing to do with the MMM website. Although in the past I have posted there. We all had a different role in our search for Maura. I dont have facebook so its not some where I even view. When I post its with what I have learned through out the years from traveling up north. |

Judged: 4 3 3 Citi, when you travel up there ......seriously........where do you look? I honestly never run into people on the trails up there that I don't know from the area already or at least who I know to be locals from seeing them around town or in Mountain Lakes. As I said, I only know of one formal search that was centered in the lodge on Lodge Lane in Mountain lakes, but so many people spent their time looking in yards that people frequent all the time that it seemed senseless. All the trails have been redone in that immediate area so something would have been found if she were in the crash area. I think it would make more sense to spend time figuring out WHY she went up there and that would more likely lead to the discovery of where she went/what became of her. |
|
Judged: 3 2 2 its because she never searched. Her stories are all circles, she doesn't explain herslef well at all... I am sceptical. No evidence means I wont believe her. |

Judged: 2 2 1 i can't imagine why you are posting here with so little knowledge of .... anything. you claim you had nothing to do with the original MMM website, you admit to no recollection of the local residents' reaction to Fred Murray's unwelcome attitude and behaviors, and it's unclear what your "role" or "assignment" is today in this rudderless conversation. |

Judged: 2 2 1 a "family" that is willing to make daily appearances over many years on forums and, now, on FB, and yet is unwilling to be honest in the public arena about their missing relative....honest at almost ANY level....casts suspicion on themselves. renner says so, as well. they can't have it both ways. |

Judged: 1 1 1 you dont know what I do and dont know. This is an on going investigation. The main prority is to find out where and what happened to Maura not to please the posters. What I said was I was only a poster on the MMM website and that I traveled up north to hopefully find Maura. There is no role or assignment Im just a poster like everyone else here. Im curious as to why you are here posting considering you are stating to me it is unclear as to why Im here? What is your role or assignmentin posting here? |

Judged: 2 2 1 Consider the Lear jet that crashed in NH about 10 or so years ago, it took years for it to be found and it was only a fluke. A surveyor discovered it quite by chance. Think how much damage a plane of that size does and the exposed surface area compared to a human being. Also consider after all these years what may remain of Maura if she is indeed in the woods. Even with a well coordinated grid search it would be easy to miss clues. You also have potential miles and various roads she could have taken, where do you begin? To say we looked and didn't find her so she's not there is absurd or naive. Having tracked game with a fresh trail I can say it is extremely difficult. Finding an animal you know is down even with a starting point can be almost impossible in the thick woods and brush. Having done it for several people I can say first hand it isn't as easy as some may think. |
Judged: 3 2 2 I didnt refuse anything. Remember it was you and several other posters that came after me when I posted my positive experiences with the locals. You never believed what I said about the locals what makes you think Shack would believe what I said? |

Judged: 2 2 2 I remember my first time going to Haverhill in our search for Maura .My first thoughts were after seeing the area was oh my God we are never going to find her! We did our best but sadly to say I lost all hope with in the first year that she would ever be found. But we continued on and prayed to God that he would help us find Maura. |

Judged: 2 2 2 They should have had a family spokesperson that wasn't emotionally involved as they were from the start, some people even hire a PR firm to help them out. The other problem is multiple spokespersons that don't seem to either get along or be on the same page. Different opinions, misinformation and lack of ALL information hurt the objective which was to find Maura. If there was bickering with posters on forums by family it never should have happened because as I feel Renner was baited I feel perhaps family members may have been baited by some with a nasty agenda. When you respond you are entertaining and empowering the troll! I catch myself doing the same thing to a limited extent at times and think DUH! What also appeared to hostility or criticism toward some locals, law enforcement and the state didn't endear some people either. I can understand the frustration and once again that's why you have a spokesperson with some savvy. I do believe LE and locals despite this did their best. LE are professionals and getting lip service is usually a daily event and they learn to either ignore it or deal with it, I doubt it slowed their resolve to find answers. |
Judged: 2 2 2 We were there. We looked at many places. The Mountain Lakes search was run by the PIs. There were several other locations searched by SP and searchers. Just because an area seems senseless to some does not mean its not worth looking into this area again. As one poster stated its like looking for a needle in a haystack. Why she went up there sadly to say we will probably never know because her friends stories have changed from the beginning. |
