Bumping for Maura wrote: <quoted text> Wowzer, Please, read more carefully before posting... I did not, repeat not, write that "it shoud scream volumes". That is the expression of poster "aftermath" in response to a previous post of mine responding to an earlier post by "aftermath". OK? That being said, I really can´t understand why there is such an incredible outpouring of anger on this site whenever there is an ongoing discussion about a possible, roaming killer on the loose in NH and/or VT. Sadly, this kind of monsters exist everywhere and anywhere and NH, VT and Maine are not being automatically being protected from the actions of such deranged individuals. As far as I know, the Connecticut River killer was never apprehended and may still be around for all we know depending on a number of factors which we have no knowledge of. My main point here is this: For some reason some posters on this forum seem absolutely intent on making Maura´s vanishing a case of either run-away or suicide. Yes, Maura´s disappearance may well be a case of suicide or run-away, an accident gone badly wrong or whatever. However, it would be absurdly naive and foolish to outright exclude the possibility of foul play in this context. The Pat O´Hagan case in Sheffield, VT, is a strange, disquieting and as yet unsolved crime. So is the disappearance of Brianna Maitland, of VT, as well as that of Quebec resident Louise Chaput, found murdered in the Franconia area of NH, as well as the likewise unsolved vanishing of a married couple, Mr & Mrs Currier, in Essex Junction, near Burlington,VT, just to name a few cases. Some feel the Conn. valley killer was a guy named Nicholaou who was a Vietnem vet and even his fellow soldiers felt he was a whack job. He liked hunting people in Vietnam hand to hand I believe and it seems the time frame of his living in the area fits some of the murders but not all. Jane Boroski who survived an attack described the jeep he drove and the composite she gave looked like him. Another made a death bed confession that he and others were responsible for one of the murders. There may have been more than one perp at work and that may be the reason they have had difficulty putting all the pieces together to fit one perp. I don't see all these murders and missing persons in NH. and Vermont being tied together. Some crimes of passion, some seem drug related, others crimes of opportunity, and some victims of their own actions, possibly Maura. Some of the bodies could have been dumped there to throw off investigators. When talk of a possible serial killer is publicized a murderer could take advantage and dump someone there hoping it would be linked to the other murders. I think Brianna knew whoever abducted her if she was abducted, but again a monkey wrench is thrown in because she was known to pick up hitchers. It seems she must have been abducted because she left behind a paycheck, migraine meds and I think contacts.

Having been reading through several articles on the March 2004 disappearance of Brianna Maitland of Vermont, I was struck by the many similarities between her case and Maura´s. The two cases may or may not be related, but it´s easy to feel a sense of "deja vu" when comparing the details of the two cases with an open mind. And, most of all, it should make everyone hopping mad that there seems to be no trace whatsoever of either Maura or Brianna after nearly eight years.

Several times you've told some posters that have posted here for years that they shouldn't respond or they should leave etc.etc. Who do you think you are anyway? I don't consider myself arrogant but I won't be bullied and insulted into an apology by you. It seems I have a habit of getting your boxers all twisted into a wad. I hope it doesn't cause you any circulation problems. My top priority isn't this forum. Tonight top priority was heading to my favorite restaurant in Lincoln and buying my favorite steak special grinder. Man are those good.

aftermath wrote: <quoted text> Bumping for Maura, Do not allow him to inflict guilt. That's his problem. Guilt. He along with Snow et. wield guilt, ridicule, shame like a weapon to chase people from this website. Ignore them as I do. Why bother with them? They've had years to produce what? Exactly zilch. Onward with what is important: gas stations, convenience stores, parking areas including national parks, highways, especially interstates. Appears to follow people who are leaving places, even the workplace. It's as though he is seated in a vehicle in these locations, observes his victims, stalks, follows and murders them. An abundance of patience, not at all fearful of being spotted. Ms. Chaput had stopped at the Pik Quick III convenience store in Colebrook NH. He's drawn toward brunettes who travel solo. Sexual interest does not appear to be a motive. Something else is driving his behavior. Without having seen any pictures of ms O´Hagan, I´m guessing at age 78 she wouldn´t qualify as a brunette. So, what evidence is there to indicate a connection between these cases other than they´re dead and they´re women? I believe hair color can be taken off the list.

Since you first showed up here you've enjoyed making fun of people, calling them names and trying to instigate trouble. I believe Maura Murray is the last thing on your mind.

I don't think Bill's wife would like me "fine dining" with him. Not that I wouldn't be honored to. I know we would have LOTS to talk about.

At least jwb's output has diminished as I knew it would. And the reason there is such an outpouring of not anger, but incredulity is because, we have been down this road. The police has been down this road. There is no connection between these cases. Anyone with an iota of common sense should be able to see that. But we have to go through the "serial killer on the loose" scenario yet again. Bill Why is it when ANYONE brings up a scenerio that explores any angle but yours you attack? If this upsets you so deeply I recommend you step back&evaluate your extreme defensive nature on a PUBLIC forum......OR.....You are LE or somehow involved....personaly I think you've lived in the woods to long&have something wrong with you,Inbred much?

Tha Lab in Swiftwater recently moved south. The owner told me personally that he and his wife couldn't handle another winter up here and were going where it was warmer. Not counting the older residents that died. They live in a different less stressful area now. Most everyone that lives on 112 has lived there a long time and are still there. Hi Wowzer, What about Pauline Clark. Her body was found within yards of an A-Frame? Please do not tell me we're talking about the same A-Frame near where Maura's Saturn left the highway. Pauline's accident was ruled accidental (fall from a bridge?). Her death, due to blunt force trauma to the head resulted in accidental death ruling. I believe Ms. Clark's situation involved a fall from a bridge? Then of course there was Audrey Groat. She went missing while sitting in her truck at a rest stop. If I recall accurately, this was on the northside in VT approximately 20 minutes from Woodsville. Ive never read up on audrey Grout but it seems interesting how close to woodsville this happened.

Steak grinder/steak sub. Not sure what others call it. The steak special has lots of good stuff in it. A long grinder/sub roll filled with steak, onions, peppers and melted cheese. Lots of meat and well worth the money.

aftermath wrote: Martial arts? Brianna Maitland. Possibly some of the others. The possible connection. Maybe. Maybe not. The Missisquoi River may play a role. Some of the victims' surnames may hold the key as easily as anything else. Mason, Wowzer, Beagle, Whiston, and let's not forget the Ranter have spent hours diligently working on these cases. Detective Columbo. He had some very good ideas and I think he still does. The "runaway" theories were and continue to be tragic. Truly tragic. Lost time, lost lives. So what do we have. Someone these young women trust, someone they find impressive? Most likely. A few put up a struggle, like P. Webb. Her intuition told her something was not quite right about him. So did Brianna it seems. Chances are he approached her in a much different way. It was not daylight as was the case with P. Webb. Necklace and bracelet on the ground. They were no match for him. A grown man would be no match for him. I think your right on the money...i believe its someone they all trusted.
