Sometimes subjective observations are all you have when factual jigsaws leave missing pieces. They're also pretty vital when endeavouring to fathom the intricate why's and wherefores of human behaviour.

I have no truck with the sort of Bronze Age supernatural speculation that fills in the gaps with total fantasy but speculation based on likelihood, probability and possibility are essential if one is to take a holistic approach to understanding the actions of others.

It's also human nature. I'm speculating as to what you all get out of this and you're speculating why I'm posting.

Are you not just seeking 'evidence' to back up a subjective theory of your own? I mean, a 21 year old having a bit of a meltdown and a little plot loss is pretty common. Sadly, under these circumstances, it seems probable said 21yr old voluntarily left her vehicle and perished in an area she thought she knew well but didn't and in conditions that were inhospitable. Horribly, it's all to common that bodies can lay undiscovered for many years if they are found at all. Tragic and not the only theory but completely the most likely.

Or do you disagree?

Poppy´s post is a good and insightful one, IMHO, and your way of saying hello to a new poster on this board is frankly speaking not particularly pleasant.

It was the last time she saw her. The next day, a Friday, morning classes were canceled due to snow. The following Tuesday, she filled out a report of her interaction with Maura that night and filed it with local law enforcement. She has never spoken to detectives working the case.

Poopy great post. The above paragraph is what Maura's supervisor told Renner.

It begs the question why did Mayotte report to LE, and why on Tuesday?

I believe Mayotte was also a nursing supervisor. Perhaps she was a recipient of the death in the family email from Maura. Something pushed Mayotte beyond contact

I am a celebrity (not really). The most recent post I had sent to mr renner a while back. Although has nothing to do about her being missing it was a neat thing to stumble upon.

When Mayotte was notified of her mauras disappearance she may have decided on her own that it might be relevant (the crying incident)
or the local police might have suggested filing the paperwork after an interview with her.

snowey that comment is way out of bounds. If I was a family member of mm I would to totally be disgusted with you if they aren't already. You truly have no class
"MM's been waitin' on you too long".??? are you serious?? I would go into hiding if i were you. You just embarrassed yourself. That is one of the worst things you could say on this forum. Not to me , but to MM and her family and friends.

thank you for the lashing; i needed your scorn this morning. not.
if i recall, you came to this not-so-nicey yourself. in fact, i suspect(ed) Ms. Sophie Bean herself. still do. she has a way of stirring the pot and then asking for apologies. demanding them, in fact.
we're all still waiting on the apologies of waddlers for the accusations made to innocents in the name of MM.
just sayin.

Poopy huh? lol, I thought that was pretty funny.
How do we know she (Mayotte), hasn't spoken to police though and maybe the FBI that went to Hanson and UMASS contacts? I wonder if the FBI hands their info over to police. And who would get it? Umass or NH?

I got from reading Renner's blog that as of Summer, 2011 KM hadn't spoken with any LE. KM says she filed a report with UMass police (campus security) after she heard that MM has gone missing.

(Hold onto your hats and batten down the hatches folks, another Nor'easter is brewing here on the Topix pages. This is way better than The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Pass the poopcorn.)

consider, JWB, that Topix has proven to be a playground for first-time users of online social networking in the early years, which happened to coincide with MM's disappearance. they abused that privilege with abandon. pretty evil stuff to accuse innocents of heinous conduct.
indeed, it became a gathering place for the regulars. kind of like the elementary school playground at recess. taking sides, dodgeball, bullying, and all manner of artful anonymity and immaturity.
in the heyday, several forums were ongoing, simultaneously.
Advocate's forum attempted to be fact-based and monitored, but tempers prevailed, and misinformation was carried back and forth from Topix. somehow, the original party of "friends" (aka ducks) couldn't stay away from the "judge it" feature for too long.
but, newcomers came along to join the party...with open hearts and compassion for MM and her family. they were unwelcome; the impetus was and is to prove MM a victim of abduction and/or homicide. still is. in fact, there is little to no evidence to suggest that is true, even if a possibility.
after witnessing the severity of personal attacks and the abuse of honest, motivated, rational, fact-seeking posters....some left, and some stayed to defend local residents. in either case, the gloves were and are off.
no one accepts the "party line" anymore; no one believes intended partial and misinformation about MM's life prior to her disappearance.
it's still a playground here...if the message can't be slammed through by one moniker and location, they are changed to start the harangue all over again.
it is what it is. i remain detached from the drama.

Sorry to deflate your ego, but that post from Maura was found long ago. Just another example of new people showing up thinking they "discovered something new" Or "I bet no one thought of this"

Good to know you are doing more reading, than asking questions.
