I also have a difficult time grasping that anyone three months forward could remember seeing someone running down the road at and give a description of what they were wearing. And to boot, say it was on feb 9th @ 8pm when she was seen.

what was the alibi? working till 7 yea that would check out
what was Fred Murray's alibi for being unavailable when they tried to reach him to say his daughter was missing? several ducks insisted they knew of his whereabouts and his alibi, but refused to share it. stop pointing fingers jwb, or 3 more will point right back.

So far you haven't added anything to the conversation. If you have other facts that answer the questions then feel free to fire away.

I think you misunderstood my post..lol.
Advocate was saying maybe it was possible she ran a lot further than we think.(not an actual quote) So I was just bringing up the fact that Firecat always claimed Maura had a pulled hamstring at the time.(Also claiming, this was why Maura had the TPM, so she could sleep at night because she was in pain.)
If that were true, not sure she could get very far.
If it was Maura the construction worker saw near junction of 112 and 116, then she went 5 miles in half an hour. I'd say she was doing fine, pulled hamstring or not. I can do a mile in 20 minutes of mixed walk/run if I push myself and I'm not in great shape. Even at my rate, she could have been in N. Woodstock by roughly midnight.

I *think* his alibi was that he had to take another worker home first, or he had to stop at another worker's place on the way, something of that nature if I am remembering right. Whatever it was, LE accepted it. Also, assuming he did see the lights at the crash site, he may not have paid much attention -- given the design of the curve at the Weathered Barn, I would guess more than one accident has happened there.

Thank you advocate, that was the first time I ever heard that. do you think you can remember where you got that from?

The flashing lights would have been right in front of him as he came down 112 and took a left up BHR. There must have been some reason that his trailer was searched.
jwb,
RF might possibly also have been coming down Bradley Hill Road, having taken Rte 116 as far as Benton and from there Bradley Hill Road on his way back home from Franconia.

It has been said that the frostheaves on Rte 112 between Bradley Hill Road and the 116 intersection can be quite difficult in the winter and that quite a few people apparently choose the Rte 116-Bradley Hill Rd alternative instead of Rte 112.

Just saying...

That is a very good possibility. I am very familiar with those frost heaves that you mention and I could see myself taking that route to avoid them.

How do you figure? N. Woodstock is roughly 11 miles from the junction of 112 and 116 where she *may have been seen*. If she goes a mile in 20 minutes (my rate, we're talking), it would take her about 3.5 hours to go 11 miles. The young person was seen at roughly 8 PM. Add 3.5 hours to that and it's 11:30 PM. Later if she took rest stops or walked a lot. It is speculation whether it was indeed Maura who was seen, but if it was, then she could conceivably have been in the vicinity of N. Woodstock by midnight.

That would be a reason why he may not have seen the police lights etc.. but still doesn't account for the time frame from franconia to where he may have seen maura. The dropping of a friend off just might be the piece of the puzzle but I haven't read that one until today. I am Not saying that it isn't out there.

5 miles in a half hour = 10 miles per hour it is 16.5 miles from Bradley hill rd to North woodstock. that would be an hour and a half to two hours at that pace. Obviously keeping pace is another story.

jwb,
Has it ever been established (on a public forum) what time witness RF actually left Franconia?
Anybody knows for sure?
Thanks.
