jwb wrote: <quoted text> 5 miles in a half hour = 10 miles per hour it is 16.5 miles from Bradley hill rd to North woodstock. that would be an hour and a half to two hours at that pace. Obviously keeping pace is another story. Okay, yes, if she kept the same pace I see what you're saying. I'm just thinking that in the dark and with icy patches on the sides of the road, she wouldn't have kept up that same pace the whole way. But on the safe side, we can say that if it was Maura she could have made it to N. Woodstock by between 9:30 PM and midnight. And if I recall, LE in N. Woodstock, Lincoln and etc. were not notified to BOL that night.

His yard and sheds were searched along with his trailer after it was moved so why are you going on and on about him. It's all been gone over a million times with a fine tooth cone. You can only pick someone apart for so long and then there's nothing left to pick at. And when there's nothing left to pick at some start picking at another poor innocent person that did nothing wrong.

2/9/04... At 7:54 PM a BOL was put out to all fire units for the victim of a crash. 2/10/04... At 12:21 a BOL was put out for Maura Murray. The BOL was only put out to Haverhill, Littleton and Lisbon. 2 Questions; #1. Why was the BOL only put out to these towns when the driver of the vehicle was headed east towards Lincoln? #2. Why in the BOL narrative is Maura's DOB listed but the description is based apparently on the interview w/ Officer Cashin. They had not talked to anyone from Mass. by this time so....HOW did they know Maura's DOB. Umass had not even been contacted by that time as they were waiting for Fred Murray to call. No blaming here.. Just trying to figure out how they knew. John

The Hadley police report of that accident was dated 2/9/04 so possibly she picked the report up when she picked up the other paperwork. The Hadley police report has her DOB on it. And/or she may have already begun to fill out the paperwork and had already written down her DOB there.

Also, the Hadley police report had her Driver License number on it -- the Grafton/Woodsville LE could easily have looked up her MA Driver License and gotten a description of her (height, weight, color hair and eyes).

Wowzer the real one wrote: <quoted text> Nope. We're saving that area for you. Will you be searching soon? Wowzer, Either in spring once snow has disappeared in the forest or just prior to first snowfall in late fall. Actually, I prefer searching solo with maybe one other individual, possibly two others. Much easier with no doughnut munching, coffee drinking and socializing. Plan to first do some research regarding the accessibility of that area in February, specifically what the accessibility, roadways, trails, etc may have been like in early February 2004. At least 2 of us hope to make four trips. Two this year and two next year.

But how would they have known about the Hadley accident? That just seems like a quick connection to Me. The description was called into GCSD by Officer Cashin. It must have been info gained from Cecil Smith or He went and interviewed Atwood himself.

Bumping for Maura wrote: <quoted text> jwb, Has it ever been established (on a public forum) what time witness RF actually left Franconia? Anybody knows for sure? Thanks. Bumping for Maura, The entire scenario has a somewhat bizarre quality. Public info indicates that 3 months? after the accident he states, that he saw someone who might have been Maura running a few miles from the accident scene. At the time he sees this person....and continues to drive toward his home? He must have seen police, tow truck, etc...at the accident scene? Let's pretend that he didn't see anyone...no Saturn, nothing in sight to identify an accident had occurred. What about during the days that followed....flocks of people all over that area...especially the search on Wed a.m. Feb 11. Posters plastered everywhere around Grafton County almost immediately. It was the topic of discussion just about everywhere...stores, diners, wherever anyone gathered. How far did he live from the A-Frame? One body was not that far from the A-Frame... I know some insist that it was not, but fact is that it was not that far from the A-Frame. So we have Ms. Webb's remains over in Franconia, Ms. Chaput's remains at Pinkham Notch, Pauline Clark's body not far from the A-Frame. Let's not forget that there are a lot of other missing people. Before you get wild, Bill, it is possible for someone to transport a body a long distance. Ms. Webb for example was abducted from the eastern NH/ME area and wound up in the Franconia area. Think of all the bodies tossed along I-91... That NH/VT border area has been a busy place as well? Yes.

Oh btw, Old Peters Rd is still across from the W's house, kitchen to be exact. It hasn't moved one inch. I've been watching it to be sure it doesn't go anywhere like up the road or something. And since you didn't believe the photo clearly showing it there's a very nice drawn picture of it on the accident report I believe, showing it right across from #70 which is the house.

It must have been info gained from Cecil Smith or He went and interviewed Atwood himself. If they didn't gain access to the inside of the Saturn, and didn't speak with family in MA then perhaps they simply cross-referenced the Mass plate with insurance information and saw who was listed after FM? They knew they were looking for a 20-ish female. Officer MAC was apparently on-duty, so the list of duties was probably just passed onto him when he came on shift. He was also involved in stopping vehicles of all colors in Pike at 5:30 AM on February 10. As for the BOLO for Lisbon and Littleton not Woodstock. Maybe due to jurisdictional area? Or they weren't sure, at that time, which way the car was headed?

News reports of an upcoming search, The Circle of Hope ceremony being planned for Maura's birthday,..... all may have jarred his memory. Then press release of new tip. Then search relocated 5 miles down the road to sighting area. Then recollected items found in car from family, computer disc from UMASS Then Major crimes. Don't hold me to this exact sequence, but I'm 75% sure it's pretty accurate.
