Thanks Mcsmom that was a very interesting story. Strange that was one of the first things I noticed about JR's website. No link to Maura's website and no police contact info.

An interesting article from the Union Leader. I think it's understandable that LE wants to keep files with names of witnesses,POI's and anyone else kept under wraps.

It makes me pretty mad. This involves the same people who are my chief suspects and the cops say,'We looked into that,' but I don't know what that means," Murray said.

Murray talks with people on the street, private investigators and psychics and goes to local bars to find any tidbit of information to lead him to a new search. Many have led nowhere -- like a stained knife someone turned over to Murray, and a search volunteer private investigators conducted of a vacant A-frame.

"That's been debunked," he said.

Murray has been to most surrounding towns on the prowl for "dirt bags" and "renowned dirt bags" in Littleton, Lisbon, Landaff, Bethlehem and Whitefield. He cruises rural roads, looking for turnoffs and secluded areas a killer might seek out.

Critical of police
Murray is critical of New Hampshire police, ridiculing state police Troop F as "F Troop bunglers." Murray is also blunt in his disdain for New Hampshire authorities and angry because he believes Maura would be alive if police had done their job properly.

A more thorough search on the dark, winter night she disappeared, leaving her car locked behind her and no solid clues to her whereabouts, may have meant the difference between life and death, he said.

Murray also heaped criticism on several newspapers, including the New Hampshire Union Leader, and accused them of conspiring to cover up mistakes he says were made by law enforcement.

But despite all of his suspects and tips, Murray is no closer to solving the case. That's why he wants access to police files.

The people that are here on Topix that also frequented the old MMM forum know the disgusting,despicable and libelous things that were said about the people and LE of NH. Names were named and fingers pointed and innocents accused in the name of MM.
Even though Butch/SBD is now gone forever let's not forget the hurt he felt knowing what people were saying about him on public forums.
When we feel like naming someone and accusing them publicly we need to remember the harm it can do. Just saying.

On Friday you all were bandying about the possibility of this being some sort of family honor killing and now you've got Maura's father pegged as as the Butcher of Birkenau reincarnate! Frosty can't wait to tune in tomorrow.

It seems as if the Brat Pack on this thread are hellbent on strapping poor Mr. Murray to a post and summoning the SS execution commandos so they can triumphantly yell "fire". Figuratively at least.

this is old news that was previously discussed and examined at length....but without mention of a polygraph as applied to the people around MM before her disappearance...family, friends and associates.
