Yes it has been here and after listening to the Dribble Drabble one is likely to have that happen. Why don't You harass some of the other people who fall off it as well? Trust Me, Maura Murray is My main concern and always has been. John

Mason- 01-26-2009 Without knowing what sort of cell phone Billy had or the service provider, the message may have automatically been erased after 30 days. My phone works that way. He probably had one of the Sprint phones that Sharon obtained with her Sprint calling plan. I know she gave one to Maura, so maybe she also gave one to Billy. BOTTOM LINE: I don't know, but whether he had a Sprint phone or a different phone, the message may been erased automatically without his knowledge.

Also perhaps he erased it because he couldn't bring himself to listen to it and/or the message had been accessed by LE and filed away for future use. I don't believe that it was the Red Cross administration calling at 7AM Central time. I trust SR and BR's sense that it was MM. And LE is under no obligation to reveal to Mr. Renner details pertaining to an ongoing investigation. If it was MM then the abductor is possibly one who enjoys a game of cat and mouse. And if it was one of MM's calling cards then the caller would have to know the PIN # or force MM to make the call... And there would have to be cell coverage at the location.

uh, no. very little is known about many of the details without the benefit of direct interaction with the principles....FM, the sibs, Sharon and Billy, to name a few. and what about that friend that didn't want to get Maura "in trouble"? anyway, maybe the phone auto deleted....and maybe it didn't. if it did...why the excuse?....that he couldn't listen to the message anymore. so much of this conversation includes unverified information and poorly formed ideas. some think a case-crackin'-clue will emerge from the twisted tangle of partial and misinformation. still, there's all this hamstering on the exercise wheel. my current phone promises to auto-delete messages after a certain number of days....but doesn't. oh, well. only Billy knows for sure.

Frostman - Billy's Mother said she used to get Maura phone cards before she got Maura a cellphone. A cell phone would still charge you a rate per minute for calling the access number from the calling card to enter your pin and make a call. Therefore you would be double paying from a phone usage point of you. It wouldn't make sense to make a call from a cell phone to a calling card. Phone cards could have been used from payphones, but I don't phone cards were being used by her in 2004. The rate per minute for cell phone use was very low and more economical and user friendly than a calling card cause you would have to be in a fixed location.

Long distance calling cards for cell phones. You call through a third party number enter your PIN and then dial long distance or even locally. No number shows up on your phone bill and if someone dials that third party number it just says it's a calling card provider. Not traceable back to the cell phone. Maybe MM had a left over card from before she got the new phone.

I can't even put the oppostion in a group because each person of the opposition has this mind set that they are better than everyone. You are all kings of your own little universe. I have yet to see anything that makes me believe you know the slightest thing about this case. That would put you in the company of Frosty who also doesn't appear to know much about the case. BUT... does have excellent taste in film and TV. So that puts him/her at least one up on you. Do some research so you have a clue. Bill

Frostman wrote: <quoted text> This is payback for AEA (SBD) isn't it? Butch Atwood (AEA, BA) was questioned because he stopped to help Maura and now you are trying to besmirch Mr. Murray's reputation because you perceive that BA was maligned in some way. Nobody can provide any information or links or proof, but y'all keep hammering away at it. The old MMM site and the threads that dragged BA and the locals thru the mud have disappeared, taking the proof with them. POOF! GONE!! BA was maligned in some way???? Yeah I guess you could say that along with being blamed, crucified, hurt, talked negatively about on an internet public forum and questioned by family, strangers, LE, friends and reporters over and over and over again. Even after he moved to FL Pi's tracked him down for more questions. All in the name of MM. It's quite obvious that the old MMM forum members that played a part in and allowed the bashing and spewing of hatred are here on Topix under different monikers. It's really funny how you try to silence posters with the word libel now that you can't just delete and ban them if you don't like what is being said. Quite interesting.

Maybe MM had a left over card from before she got the new phone. A calling card process works like this : Dial access number then enter PIN and then dial termination number. If it was a calling card the calling card company obviously knows the access number (because it is their number)the destination number would be Billy's and then they could easily find the PIN Number associated with it. The PIN number would tell you the most because the batch of PINS are assigned to a group of cards that are shipped to a distributor and you can find out where they were bought and sold. You could also track the number that called the access number.

Wowzer, If Mr. Atwood was harangued in that manner I find it truly, truly appalling. I wasn't there and I didn't partake in any verbal or written assaults on Mr. Atwood. In that same vein, however, I cannot condone the witch hunt that is going on here with respect to Mr Murray's moral character. Bad behaviour is not an excuse for more bad behaviour. Every time someone questions your rationalization for maligning Mr. Murray your only reply is -- but, but what about BA? It seems to me you and others feel it's justified in egging on other posters because you feel BA was mistreated. Any character assassination of Mr. Atwood after February 9, 2004 has nothing to do with Maura's disappearance. If Mr. Murray was brusque with searchers, it's regrettable, but again nothing to do with what happened to his daughter. I have no stake in this and no personal knowledge of any of the parties involved.

On the Disappeared show, Sharon Rausch stated she gave Maura calling cards from the Red Cross just a couple months before at Christmas.
