I know. I never really questioned his credentials before. Didn't shack use to call him the Irish terrier or some crap like that? Was it him? I wonder if she ever saw any credentials? At least something that wasn't a mail order badge and certificate.
Bill
Not sure if it was him or weeper that was called the Irish something or other.
I've always questioned it because of his totally unprofessional manner.

Anybody remember Chris Flynn? They found his van in Haverhill, NH. Remember the same list of morons that insisted that there wasn't any evidence that Chris actually drove the van there? That he was killed in MA and then the murderers drove the van up there to throw everyone off of the trail? Anyone remember that case? Shocking when Chris popped up no worse for the wear. All those murder conspiracy theories and secret van transports. Remember those? They were fun while they lasted. Of course some of use were trying to explain that there was no evidence that he wasn't there. That the person who likely was in Chris Flynn's van as Chris Flynn. But, people let their imaginations fly and insisted that foul play was involved and that there was no evidence that Chris was ever in NH. We actually have closure in this case. And guess what? It was Chris who drove his van to NH and walked away. Who would have thought? Oh, that's right, a whole group here said that by following simple rules of logic, including Occam.

I remember all the talk. And while people were searching the woods for him he was in California.

Re another young woman in the Saturn at the crash site on 112 ... why would some other young woman drive Maura's Saturn all the way to NH to an area that was Maura's favorite place in the world?

You might be right. It might have been weeper. Shocking that even though she reads daily she couldn't answer that question, isn't it? But, being useful, was never her strong suit.

Yes, the accident report says she was driving... There has also been reported - only reported - that thee was difference of about an hour from time Maura left the little party at SW to the time of the Corolla crash. The driving time from SW to the Corolla crash scene is maybe two minutes.
Maybe Maura had gone back to her room for about an hour and sobered up.

Question, were the roads around campus icy at that time, or icy in spots? Wondering if there was ice or re-freeze at that T-intersection and maybe she skidded/slid through to the guardrail when she tried to stop?

I'm confused. You are saying you don't believe this? I just told you I have personally witnessed a 120 pound deer disappear in 3 days. I think that the only reason that a 1000 pound moose would actually last three weeks is because of the skittishness of animals around the roadway.
Bill
I agree with you, Bill. Have seen remains of animals large and small, and have seen photos of human remains in these circumstances and it does not take long or take much. Also, even just a couple of days into the process and before much destruction has occurred, remains of humans look like nothing more than a bunch of dirty rags. Often.

No, according to some here. He was dead either near his van, or in MA somewhere. And of course the reason his body wasn't found near his van was because either the cops didn't search or if they did they weren't competent enough to find him. I mean it was a clear case of murder, or maybe robbery and murder. And the van was dropped off in Haverhill because we all know that is where you drop off a vehicle if you don't want to have a crime every figured out. But then, oops, he just decided to take holiday in CA without telling anyone. I don't know why they didn't get the FBI involved immediately because clearly this was a case that needed what the FBI had to offer. Whatever that would be? I'm sure they could have tracked him down in hours. Another missed opportunity for the FBI.

Exactly - I mean exactly - how did SBD identify Maura Murray?
As I recall, the SBD was shown a photo of Maura. It was a photo in which her hair was up in the customary (for her) bun. SBD commented that it looked like her except that the girl he saw had her hair down.

hardly seems to be a positive id. further, that he might not have been exquisitely attentive to features, given it was a brief and fleeting connection.

good point, of course.
i can't think of a reason her car would be brought to NH and abandoned without her, unless she was en route and abducted along the way from MA to NH, or that another young woman accompanied her on her journey as a passenger or driver.

She may have been a passenger in the Corolla and the driver left or Maura may have switched places with her. Or him. Maura may not have been drunk or very drunk. She may have taken the place of the driver before Hadley PD arrived. Then, if news accounts are correct, she would have gone with the tow truck driver to the motel. That's very obvious.
I can understand Maura having crashed the Corolla if this was the first time she took that route. Or if she was drunk. Or if she was texting, maybe. But it's not a route that you would take, especially if your trip was important, if you had never taken it before. She would almost certain taken University Dr to Russell St. to the motel.
The assertion you made was that if the responding officer ID'd Maura then she must have been driving the Corolla and therefore proceeded to the motel with the tow truck driver. Obviously, Maura almost definitely went to the motel with the tow truck driver. No one is disputing that. But that does not mean she was driving the car. It only means that she told the Hadley officer that she was the driver. Who knows what else she may have told him.
Why add more to this conspiracy? Either way she was there whether she was there at the accident, or else someone would have been arrested for car theft and crashing a car.
Enough about this different route. Have you ever had a couple of drinks, but not have been drunk and then decided to take a different route because you thought there may be less LE to pass? I appreciate your posts but I don't know what the intention is.

Gee Tom,
Sounds like Snowy may be leaning toward the theory that "Big Foot" a local inhabitant of the area nabbed Maura and took her out of state (ANYWHERE but NH!@!! LOL). Next Snowy will attempt to convince everyone that BF was after the 5 cent Maine refund on that booze bottle! So THAT'S where the bottle went, right Snowy?!
You know what they have planned today for us right? Spontaneous Combustion.

Nobody outside of LE has ever seen that video, which is very much different from most missing persons cases. It is kept away from everyone for a reason. It may not even show Maura.
That is another reason I don't buy FMLE and him saying 98% she just ran off and perished into the woods. The family would have been shown the video to confirm that it was maura. What is the harm in that if a perp doesn't exist?

Do we know 100% certainty that no one besides LE has seen the video?
