Tom ~ i am officially passing the torch over to you. i don't care enough anymore to spend ridiculous amounts of time trying to make sense out of nonsense. i can easily check in after several weeks, six months or a year, and it will be the same old song and dance. i have an opportunity to restore wasted time back to my life, and i've even found a replacement in the endless debate. do you accept the offer?

I'm one of the locals that was bashed near to death over the course of 8 years by shack and her buddies. It's a very hurtful thing and to bash Maura like we were bashed will do no good. Why lower yourself to the same level as them which is lower than the underside of a worm IMO. I think we're better than that. The lies and bashing started 8 years ago but no one twisted our arm to make us keep reading and replying to the forums.

Bumping for Maura wrote: <quoted text> Tom, So you obviously are in the know as regards what happened to Maura after the accident on Rte 112. You have quite clearly ruled out foul play in this context, judging by your comments. The problem here is that whatever happened to Maura after her crash on Rte 112 constitutes as much a mystery now as before Mr Rennerīs most recent revelations. If I interpret your comments correctly, you are more or less saying that everybody should now give up searching for Maura and that whatever happened to her she brought upon herself, even though that "whatever" still might include any kind of possible foul play. No that isn't what I'm saying. I actually still think her father did it, and the more evidence I see that she was running away for a while she was going to meet him. I think the accident in NH was the breaking point for him. I have been pretty clear about that. The fact the Murray family is being shady makes me think that they should come clean with everything before a search continues to stop wsting time. Also her father has been bashing LE for years now while at the same time he hasn't been upfront with them which raises more suspicion to me. Its not right to bash LE while you are lying to them at the same time.

What about Billy Rausch everyone made him look like he was a cheater and a bad guy? He graduated from west point and he was found with cc fraud. Plus she was cheating on him for a fact. He spent 8 years of his life in a hell like everyone else. Imagine him trying to live a decent life and meet another girl.

Snowy I bet your shoes are worn as much as mine from running in all the endless circles. When the bashing and lies started the caring got less and less until it was impossible to feel sympathy for her friends and family. The hatred spewed so vehemently and the lies overtook the truth until the whole thing became just a form of entertainment. Nothing more, nothing less. Get a new pair of shoes and if the bottoms are a bit slippery just come here and they will be worn in no time.

No snowy I can't accept. I feel that you have done a much better job than I have. You have done things in a much more diplomatic fashion than I have. Plus your input is very valuable. You have to be ready for more information to come out about MM. The final piece of the puzzle will be the real heart breaker.

Tom isn't bashing. neither am i. we are speaking our minds. most people here don't have the nerve to say what they are really thinking. Tom does. so do i. it's call burnout. it is an absurdity to carry on for 8 *eight* years....parroting the same NONsense over and over again, and expect people to be dripping with compassion for the missing MM. burnout. that sums it up for me.

Snowy I don't feel any warmth or sympathy but I do feel bad as I would for any young person that ruins their life thru stupid actions and bad choices. I feel nothing but disgust for the group that made the last years of the SBD a living hell and spoke of the locals with such hatred and vile names. They have to live with themselves and when they leave this world they will have to answer for what they've done to the higher power.

Iīm done with commenting on this board, which now seems more like a cauldron of venomous attacks against Maura for having had the temerity of vanishing without a trace, possibly because of some kind of foul play. There are many truly good people here, but the evil axis of Tom and Snowy makes for a truly abominable combination. I shall be concentrating on the ever more fascinating (and thankfully moderated) James Renner blog in the future. This forum just leaves me disgusted.

Bumping for Maura wrote: Lots of Maura haters turning up here recently. Oh! My goodness gracious! Such primitive thinking you demonstrate. Not to say hyperbolic. You are demonstrating the thought processes of a child. Grow up. Life is not all black and white. You are saying if you do not love (how do you love someone you don't even know?) Maura and see her as the All American Girl then you hate her??? How about trying for nuanced thinking? If you criticize someone that doesn't mean you hate them. As for those who think Maura deserves a second chance, she's had her second chance and screwed it up big time. First chance: Thrown out of West Point for credit card fraud. Second chance: Maura was given the opportunity for a fresh start at UMASS. And what does she do? She demonstrates that she has learned nothing from her West Point experience. She does identical credit card fraud to what she did at West Point.

Well at some point he has to move on. He can't be pressing the issue and then expect another girl to date him and want to get married. He has to move on, or show others he has.

I still think there is one more issue to come up; the icing on the cake that made her run away.
