As ya'll know I am from the West Coast.. I don't understand - accident forms from the police department in triplicate?? or even single..

anyway.. Here in Washington state - there are NO accident forms at the dept of lic. or DMV - police etc. If I get in an accident today like she did.. I would call Farmers - and fill out a claim. ONLY if I was cited for an infraction or another car was involved - I would involve the ticket/citation number or copy of police report.

I always assummed..( ass out of U and ME ) this was just a East coast thing.. so leave it alone.. then I talked to someone today and they said.. I have NO IDEA what Fred Murray was talking about accident forms.

most insurances would cover her because she was on the policy - at least for the saturn.. so I don't think "paying for it" was the issue?

what is up with the accident forms? bizarre.

I did watch on ID Michelle Whitaker case - was missing 6 years and it was by her choosing.. Do I think Maura did this NO.. NO... however.. people can and DO.. I think its like . hear no evil see no evil.. people vanish and DONT look online.etc again.. I DO NOT THINK THIS HAPPENED TO MAURA. commenting here only.

The recovery of a body in Waterville Valley yesterday may bring closure for a former Concord attorney whose wife went missing nearly two months ago.

Beth Upton, 85, of Exeter disappeared Sept. 7 during a walk near the White Mountains town, where she shared a vacation home with her husband, Fred Upton. Beth Upton had Alzheimer's disease, according to her husband, who held a private practice in the city for 60 years.

An autopsy today is intended to confirm officials' belief that the body may be Upton's, according to a Fish and Game press release issued last night. The remains were found a short distance from a remote, wooded trail.

Very sad but I'm glad they found her. The family can have closure now. I'm also glad they don't suspect any foul play.

WATERVILLE VALLEY, N.H.-- A body was recovered in Waterville Valley on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

The body has not been identified. It was found in a remote, wooded area off of a trail.

The body was discovered by searchers looking for 84-year-old Beth Upton, who has been missing since September after going for a walk in the area.

The body has been sent to Concord for autopsy to find out if it is Upton.

Police said there was no reason to suspect foul play.

Seems to me that Fred would make the call to report his wrecked car on Sunday morning. He'd need to tell them it was not him driving and I imagine the insurance company would need for the driver to fill out some papers as to what happened. Usually anything having to do with a citation, and/or a price to pay for damaged state property, these papers will come in the mail a few days later. But seeing as Fred would be far away, with Maura "stuck" at school, something had to be done with them right away? Fred was having Maura get the papers. She was going to call him, and THEY were going to go over the papers to fill them out. What would she need his input for if he wasn't there at the time of the accident?

Interesting.. others have pointed out Fred's use of um and inflection.. but.. I don't like this.. at all. I didn't notice it before.. but the ummmmmmmmmmmm and how do you get from 75% to conviction to IF you HAVE to go to trial

COPS usually say - when this goes to trial.. not IF and HAVE TO. of course you should HAVE to unless...THE HOPEFULL HEAR .. she is ok.

I can side with Fred that he should have a copy of the hard-drive....(to get a better feel of what might be there for him to know)....& To help solve this. At the same time it would seem there is something being witheld, but by whom I don't know. It's like Fred needs to know what THEY know, and not that that's bad in any way. Then again, police are in a tough spot it would seem.*Keeping witness information private and waiting for something solid to come in. JMO

If Maura is thought to be alive & someplace else, there would be no need to keep mentioning a possible crime, a possible conviction, etc, unless it were to be filed against HER.....and stranger things have happened.
On the flip side, if they think she has passed on because they found her for example, this could be why they have to wait for something specific to happen/or be done to make a conviction. Well, DUH....saying this to myself here, lol.

this you tube on brittanee drexel does a great job at eplaining how the cell phones work. This is what I have been trying to say...... they describe it in laymans terms.. down to the tower that picked her last ping wass 50 miles away... like I was trying to describe when we went round and round about the BS of the two mile info on the bogus affidavit.

this person also brought up it appears they have NO evidence of a crime at all or what type of crime.. its so vague.

Thanks for the info Dawn. Wonder what good it would do for anyone to make up a fake affidavit, put it where someone can pick from, and all for what reason? To prove what, to show what......

Why............ they dont have alot to go on... obviously they think someone was either meeting her or in tandem.. my guess is threw that out to see if they panicked. the way it was worded andyone in Telcommunications would know it was fake. that is one reason i stayed her. because i thought if that is fake.. what else is and that was something i could clarify for everyone. And.. then Helena confirmed I was correct. Still waiting for Elsewhere Briefly to tell me the federal law she read that proved that it was real.. everything about it is opposite of how it actually works. Its mean to do to the family. horrible. it shows tho how people will go at any length here - remember EBW talking about my job. to keep the converstion going in one direction - control. when these people obviously talk to the family.. and then they rode on that for so long. 2 years. people who work for missing people. I suggested the affidavit was a fake and a plant months ago on one of the deleted threads and nearly got chased off the forum. If it was deliberately planted by LE in an effort to throw mud on the wall and see what sticks, surely it would have been written on letterhead paper to make it appear legit. It looks like someone who did not have access to the paper planted the document. Anyone remember how WW got word of the document?

And Scarinza´s wording on ID make me think maybe they suspect someone within or with a connection to LE either is connected to the case. Not necessarily killed her, but maybe helped her get away. My first impression of the case when I found it online was she ran off with a head injury and succumbed to the elements. My second impression, after I read more about the case, was someone within LE was somehow involved.

I am not convinced that LE planted it actually. They reply to internet posters on a PDF with letter head. They have been very proffessional. I am so glad Peri is back but she was contraversial poster too .. who had visions about missing persons. They still gave respect with a letter. I have no reason to contact them but I think they do reply or acknoledge those who do. I do know one person who is in regular contact with them. They have NEVER publicly addressed this document - nor was it including in FOIA information you can get from the dept of justice or on the mauramurray site, or hanson/whitman newspaper. It also has NEVER been mentioned in any media reports or written articles. The ONLY place it existed (EBW) was on topix. So ... I am still waiting for this federal law that EWB read and said not only was it real it was by law/federal law - spot on. Which it is almost a full opposite in how we ( carriers) get requests. I have NEVER seen one like that.. red flags all through it.. I don't even have the copy anymore - hannah_b.. Post it and I can follow up after each part of how it REALLY should look
londonderry, 2 mile, sprint tower, and the time frame ( good grief they have that down to the second - you dont request it ever.. you give dates and then drill down.) HUGE RED FLAG. all of these were bogus.. the chances that person was on sprint..next to none.. and you are never picked up by the closest tower - you wouldn't want to especially in mountains where you hand off - they system is smart and does this per design guidelines.

Hannah - I partially agree - I do think LE knows more..Which of course they do.. HOwever - if they helped her. They dont have to say a thing if they think it was for good reason. I don't know how she could do this to the Hanson Girls or Billy...or family.. However, it does happen with people who also SWORE they would never do it. On ID Dissappeard - Michelle Whitaker - was missing 6 years - she left with just the clothes on her back - left her beloved dog. she just never checked to see if people were looking.. she didn't like how her family was getting into her life she had a lot of stress - failed relationships and drinking. Cops thought for sure she was dead because they couldn't locate any police files on her. She had been arrested for drinking in public. She was a pretty lady.. totally normal.. blue eyes - brown hair - pretty.. Also.. LOTS OF UN TOLD missing persons case like that onproject jason - go to the forums and to the located section. you will see kelly will put an update - example - john doe was located on 10/31/2010. at this time the family has not heard from him. this is john doe's choice as an adult........oh your heart bleeds when you read the families pleading.. please just contact us.. one that read had been missing 11 yrs and found in ca..but will not call friends or family

The bus driver was investigated and cleared, he is well known and respected in the neighbourhood, he phoned the cops because he was worried about Maura, they have investigated him and cleared him.

They again have training......

Maura was seen after the bus driver, some distance away avoiding any passing cars......

For this scene to be correct: Since the man was married, within the very short time, he would have had to a)abduct Maura without his wife knowing or lveaving any evidence... b) harm Maura without anyone or his wife knowing, seeing, or hearing or leaving any evidence.... c) bury Maura or put her in some other place where no one would see her or hear her(if not harmed) all within 10 minutes..........or less..........while the Police were on their way, the Police that he called..........

The bus is used to transport people, do you not think that one of these people would notice something if the bus was involved......please.....

The ground is frozen solid.......he would be seen carrying something onto the bus by his wife how would anyone bury a person in solid frozen ground all within 10 minutes........the bus does not belong to him, but to the company he works for..........

He is a large man, I doubt even a very fit person could or would risk doing this while the POLICE are on the way..........and he knows they are on their way as he called them......

Would it not make "logic" to do this crime, cover your tracks, make sure all your "ducks" are in a row, get away with the crime, dispose of any evidence and then call the Police, you will control when they get there,, who knows if they will arrive in 2 minutes, or 10.......

It defies normal logic.......again.....and again.....and again..........

I again have no doubt that Maura left to start a new life on her own terms......no doubt whatsoever.......after all she is not a child, but an adult......who is free to make whatever adult choices she wants to with her own life......
