WTH-the-original wrote: <quoted text> You need to understand how dithering works. I can't explain it in a couple of sentences. Dithers are a way to reproduce a gray scale with only black and white. Mathematically I could write the formulas but that wouldn't likely help either. Just look at how big the areas are in relation to the overall picture. And remember you only have one choice, black or white. If the number of levels you have are small, or the threshold is screwed up, you can get odd artifacts. But it is such a small photo and the dithers are relatively large. I personally can not say that she has a black eye any more than I can tell you her eye color from those photos. Bill I understand what dithering is and the first couple times I viewed the pic that's exactly what I thought it was, until I looked at it closely. Idk, but to me, using a completely 100% objective view of this, it looks like she had bruising on the left side of her nose below her eye on that pic. Just look at it, it looks like a bruise. But im definitely willing to admit that nothing concrete can be ascertained by that picture, unfortunately. But it begs the question, why did the cops even take that pic? Since when do cops take a pic on the site of the arrest? I find that odd.

The backpack or at least parts of it, her cell phone and watch might still be recoverable if out in the woods. Maybe even parts of her clothing. I read about a MP case from upper MI Peninsula, a hiker who was seen wandering off into the woods and disappearing back in March 2004. In 2009 or was it 2010, a sweater was found, torn, dirty and bleached by the sun, but they believe it was his.

By the way, Wowzer, my friend was a young female about 5 ft. 7 who called me every evening so i would know she was home safe...she was late that night. I immediately thought it was her and she was trying to walk home or something...she called me before le left the scene saying they were checking at cottage. I thought all was well that night and didnt know for several months that it wasnt.

There is a 7:17 suicide attempt in Littleton The 7:03.... when I believe the accident really happened and I was just saying 7:27 because that is what the log stated. And then the next call for a suicide attempt at 9:20 John

Jenkins wrote: <quoted text> I agree that you can definitively say it's a black eye, & I don't think I said it def was. But it sure as hell looks like it is. What's your explanation for that huge black mark on the left side of her nose? Look at the right side of her face, looks like the bruising is over there too. It looks like she nearly broke her nose, broken nose give u bruising under your eyes generally. Look at the shape of the black spot, it even has a classic bruising pattern. What else could it be besides bruising? Seriously, what else? I know the pic is grainy but that almostakes it worse. That it came through in such a shitty picture and the subsequent copying of said photo means something was there. I find it interesting that this pic was taken at 2:30 am when she was alone in her room, obviously not expecting to see anyone she knew. I'm NOT saying she definitely had a black eye but I'd put $ down that she did. What else Could that mark be? i took a closer look and see what you mean. unless it is just a shadow, it could be bruising. an abusive relationship, perhaps?

I answer your question with this question. That big white blotch in the center of her forehead. Paint smear? Why would they paint that on her forehead? Just me being a wise ass in the pursuit of making a point. I hope. The level settings on that copy of the picture sucked. They basically didn't balance the histogram at all, expanding the dynamic range or choose the cutoffs properly. Bill

When I said that you seemed to be the only one that heard it you said someone else in your house heard it too. You let people talk about it for years and now you say: ** I am not the one that said there was a second accident, although I believe it is a possibility. I only said I listened closely because when the radio said, car slid off the road and they were looking for young female,** Can you please explain this as I'm totally confused. The accident you are referring to above is the one I heard on the Weathered Barn curve. The only accident I heard that night. Did you or did you not hear an earlier accident? Yes or no will be fine.

Because you are mixing facts in with your own opinions. Hopefully you will understand what Iam saying. I know what you're saying but I did not add to that quote. It was tossed around by so many. Maybe you just never heard what all was said. But Sharon said that people park their cars like this all the time to go hop on a snowmobile. Sharon was clear. The police told her thet thought Fred was driving and that he could have been like others who have left their cars and taken off for various resons. That didn't sit well with Sharon. It was discussed Ad nausium by everyone on the forums. I remember this very well.

If you blow the picture WAY up, it looks like her eyeliner ran. There's a shadow on the right of her nose though. I think if someone hit her, it would bruise more than just in those few pixels. JMHO. The boyfriend thing is interesting though. I've asked this before but will ask again. Anybody know who was at that party she went to in Goshen for NYE?
