Advocate wrote: <quoted text> Yep, that. The ones I was thinking of were called IRC (Internet Relay Chat) and mIRC, but I know that AOL had chat rooms back then that worked much the same way. hardly the solemn reverence called for by the team...pretending to make each thread a shrine to MM, while castigating and shredding the do-gooders who came along to assist this bereaved circle of "family".

Advocate wrote: <quoted text> Possibly LE only had a home phone number for Fred and he wasn't home because he was at work. My recall is that he did have a cell phone that he carried with him, so it would be reasonable for him to ask Maura to call him on the cell phone -- maybe he had a break at 8 PM or was off work by then. But I think at the time he was working at a hospital some distance from his home. If my recall is right on these things, then it's not surprising that LE could not reach him and Fred would not have received their messages on his home phone until he got back home presumably the next day. He is a radiology technician, and I think at that time he traveled around to different hospitals. Anyone else remember the above? more excuses without providing specific facts to validate. are his hours, the name of his employer, his confirmed residence and the flexibility of his role known to you?

I *think* he's commenting that she's here a lot, considering she's a freelance writer, and trying to write a book. However, I know of a couple freelance legal researchers, and there schedules are just that - flexible. I could be wrong, however, on what he's hinting at.

AcidHouseMartin just threw me for a total loop. He/She's popped in here and there with some really good posts (at least for the last few months I've been reading actively). Now with these recent posts - especially the one about Emmett - I'm utterly confused. I think Emmett has proven himself to actually be Emmett. While I agree that sometimes his posts range from country-South to proficient IT guy, he's proven his identity - ad nauseum, IMO.:) But maybe there's something Acid knows that I don't

I wholeheartedly agree that speculation cannot be limited to what we, subjectively, view as worthy of speculation. Do I think Fred Murray harmed his daughter? No, I don't. But I in no way think that conjecture on the subject is any less harmful, then conjecture on whether or not Maura had an eating disorder, was arrested for fraud, etc., et. al. As far as Mason/Fred Leatherman goes, he is a highly respected legal mind, and I defer to his judgment the manner in which he posted. He's the genuine article. Doesn't mean I have to agree with him, but I will respect him and his ideas as just that.

hannah_b wrote: <quoted text> I still wonder did he have info this was not done with regards to FM? sorry, i don't understand your question. i am actually aware of the length of your posting history. my point, better stated, is that you will recall Mason's direct appeal to FM across two forums for him to answer questions about his availability to LE in the immediate aftermath of her disappearance. this family's refusal to provide accurate information about their loved one to the public while simultaneously appealing for help in "finding" MM, and all the while pushing away from those who stepped up to assist, represents an unusual disconnect. the impression to some observers, then, is that they are revealing little, and perhaps hiding much. it is understandable to choose privacy, but these conversations are still encouraged by "family" and driven by their representatives.

He's saying that, by posting you were around for the days of Prodigy, you slipped up - that your age doesn't match up with your experience. I re-read the portion of the thread, and saw you mentioned Prodigy as a major contender to AOL. That was, IIRC, circa 1993? Maybe later? So I see what point he was trying to make. That being said, I don't doubt for a minute that you are who you claim to be.

I had eagerly read the Advocate's board with theories of Mason, because he's a CDL. I work for a CDL, so I have much respect. Mason had some good points. My only refuting argument is that I've never heard of a criminal who wants the FBI called on himself. JMHO. Anything is possible. I wish Mason were still around posting. Amy your not much of a poker player are you?

I'll PM someone my SSN if itll make people stop callin me names!! If Ida know that word meant so much & was not nice, I wouldnt answered!!
