What was the point of keeping FD/EMS away from a car that hadn't been, and wasn't going to be secured? Why were the EMS/FD the only people not allowed near the car?
What was Smith trying to hide?
Than I think about all the lies Atwood has told. I mean he's tod at least 3 different versions of events. SO we know he's lying. He's hiding something but I think we can all agree that he is probably not the actual perp. So something ahd to have scared him into lying.
What could scare him enough to lie then and continue lying for 3 years?
Than remember that Barbara Atwood states that she doesn't know the whereabouts of that girl. So she already somehow knew Maura was gone.
Also remeber the reports of an official looking vehicle at the scene prior to smith.
It looks to me like Smith might be covering up more than we think.
His actions that night are not the actions of a good cop who is out to serve and protect his community. Also, Atwood's lies are not the actions of a regular citizen who helped a motorist who happened to dissapear. They both know more than they are saying."
The data coming in from Renners blog, and post. He clarified a lot of things that were just rumors at one time. By you posting Jenkins posts from five, let me say that again five years ago. You make it seem like he isn't entitled as a thinking being to change his mind. I'm actually happy at the fact that he is now looking at the case from a different angle. I find his posts informative open and honest.

the irritation for me, the rub, comes from a history of statements made "as fact" by FM's representatives over many years, all the while skirting answers to important questions relating to her disappearance.
truths were (and are) hidden, and information has been robotically repeated as truth with abandon over many years.
the conversations about FM's work-related activities have not been revealed, much less confirmed, and so no truths have been established. i, personally, don't give credence to anything suggested by these sources from the past.
Yes I agree. I don't need or want to see things from the family blog about the case. Considering what has recently come about about Maura on Renner's blog is disturbing. By them not being open and honest in the being makes me think whatever they were saying was just propoganda.

Sooo weird!
How did Renner find that information? Did he search his residents?

well said.

consider that the very nature of forums is fraught with divisiveness, and with the handicap of having only written words to express one's thoughts.
mix in the passion of opinion, and the emotions with which people attach themselves to claiming a "side" in a given matter...whether the topic is politics, religion, crime or mystery.

then comes some unwritten rule that once you name it and claim it you're supposed to remain on that team...forever.

i was once called a !!<traitor>!! and !!<turncoat>!! for coming to a different conclusion and realization after spending considerable time on a forum, and trying to weigh what became my best understanding of a moral dilemma.

no law says....you can't change your mind.

No, Snowy, I'm not collaborating with Renner or otherwise involved with his project. Like several here, I suggested a couple of possible avenues of information to him a couple of months back, but that's the extent of my contribution. Further, I have no "connections" to the inner circle re the original MMM forums.
When those forums were going down, and the PM's were disabled, I started copy/psting from page 400 something to the final 553 or so. What was being said at the time was that there were two ppl found dead in the white mountains. They were clearly together, yet a real mismatch and from different parts of the states. The woman had no real ties to addersses and she seemed to be homeless, no one really looking for her either. "Madaline something" Something to do with that they may have been a killing team. I have those saved in my emails and all I have to do is search the emails with keywords to drag up that info. People were unable to see who the woman was and it was kme, through searching that found out her name and posted it on the forum. It was getting too crazy, and too hard for Helena.

And now to clear something up. When I was called a liar the other day, I was bothered about it so much. I think I need to clarify something and can understand now why that person in E weymouth would call me a liar. B/c believe me, I think and think and think when I am attacked.

I had said it was all with Helena's blessings. I drift alot and am into shorthand because typing is hard for me. You'd all laugh at the chicken pecking I do. i know my son does. I should learn how to type correctly, I know I could learn it and even master it, as I am very fast at the keypad. Anyway, Helena would NEVER let someone do something wrong or improper, at least that is what I believe. No one would have her blessings and I am sorry for joining my thoughts in this way, as if to say she would approve and just let them do whatever they wanted. It's no wonder I peaved this person off, and to you I am sorry and putting this out for all to see. When Beth was reading about Indelicato and his daughters dark poetry, Helena said she wouldn't doubt that. But she was NOT pleased. I'm sure I helped her to see that there was alot of misuse of privlages that she was unaware of until the other PI talked Helena into letting her speak to her investigator. I have copies of those letters and she really laid Beth flat on the road with no hope. She was even cruel about it. Ranting really, until Beth admitted she was no investigator, just a gumshoe or armchair detective. Anyway, please know that I understand now why you would call me a liar and cannot fault you because of the wording.

This is today, there is no use,
To wave a flag or call a truce, but I am sorry.

This intersts me too as the SBD wanted to make it look like he was up front and center at the moment of impact. He said he could see her from the chin down because she was behind the airbags in her face. Then he said he walked back to his bus. But Wowzer and whitewash know that he stayed on his bus and held a flashlight to her. The other recount he made was that she had trouble getting out of her car and that she got out and looked around a bit right near her car. But who knows if these were all posssible, I sure don't.

Not wrong. Anne knew it, Beth and Mcsmom knew it and Katherleen said the laptop sat in her closet the whole time, and before the police came back for it, and the things found in the car.. Even though I have been told to stay home today and rest, I have got to get to work, shorthanded today. But I promice, I will dig up all the info I can. It was a laptop, honestly.

Not trying to argue with you here, but seriously all I've ever seen was "computer" with no indication whether that meant a desktop computer or a laptop. I do think you are the first to clarify "laptop". It does make a little bit of difference to know it was a laptop rather than a desktop, because then I wonder why she didn't take it with her ... not because of the memories it might contain, but because it's darn useful and certainly portable.

What I mean by this is:
In my opinion:
I have to agree with a most of the posts last night about Fred Murray being a possible POI. James Renner also posts a lot of reasons why Fred was involved in some way to help his daughter disappear.
You mentioned that you don't believe Fred's a POI just for the sake of he wants the FBI involved. One can argue that he has done everything he could to make Local LE look so stupid that this is part of his bluff.
I think any logical person has to assume him being a POI. I'm not saying he's guilty but there is enough to make the case for him to be a POI in my opinion. People can't just discount him because emotionally they "feel" " He would never harm his daughter" and maybe he didn't kill her. Maybe he helped her runaway and start a new life.
I also find it very weird that family and PI's that work for Fred have never come out and stated a fact: " Fred was hear and therefore he could have never done it." Something that could be verified and everyone can go on searching somewhere else, but we don't get that in the forum. Even when post after post is pointing to him as a POI.
Again just my opinion.
I don't discount anyone as a POI. I've said multiple times, he very well could be. None of us know.

What I said about "I've never seen a criminal who wants the FBI called on himself" was not meant to be an argument or a defense of Mr. Murray, just a statement. I've never seen that happen. That's all.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and I enjoy reading everyone's theories. It's out of my personal comfort zone to put forth my own speculations over whether a man I've never met might have molested his child, whether he kept pornography in his home, etc. My personal feelings are irrelevant to this debate, so I stepped out of it in respect to those who wished to continue discussing it.

And no, I don't play Poker. I prefer Scrabble.:-)

I tend to rely on plain old common sense. Budget demands for a victim advocate in 2009 was about 30k yearly. Ya think the state of NH provides that kind of assistance to prime suspects????

And thats just one example.....

on the flip side, is a family and are their representatives entitled to select and target a POI from the local community in NH, even if "everyone is entitled to their opinions"?
