Lol that's a good, and funny, point about the reeder the size of a newspaper.
Your right that from inside, it's probably unlikely she could see a cigarette burning, unless she had the lights off and even still probably not. Is that why the cell phone light has just alays been assumed? It appears to be a safe assumption. |
Judged: 1 1 1 If in fact they did jimmie the door open, then I wonder whether they were seeing the red liquid splashed around and were concerned that it might be blood. Seems like a concern like that would be "cause" enough to allow them to enter the vehicle without a warrant. |

Judged: 1 1 1 I'm not saying it's some big huge, multi-agency conspiracy reaching to the highest levels of government or anythin like that. I'm saying Its not a real conspiracy, more like a couple cops who don't want to admit there's a murder they can't solve on their watch unless they absolutely have to. I'm not saying they like kno where Maura's body is and there's this huge conspiracy. I'm just saying that from watching there actions right from the start it would appear that they thought something bad happened to her. |

Judged: 2 2 1 Actually according to lt scarinza it is common practice for people to leave there cars on the side of the rd & he does mention drunk people wanting to leave the car or obvious reasons. Which is certainly a reason Maura wanted to get the hell outta there. Generally in Nh if a car is in the side of the rd and a cop comes they will check the immediate area and make sure the driver isn't hurt near by and then move on, how long can this really take unless you think it's something more serious? How long can it really take to check out the scene and call a row truck? He sent the ems away after 6 min so he knew no one was injured nearby. Smith must have thought Something relatively serious went on that night to warrant the length of time he spent on the scene. Then, It would appear that before he spoke to the family someone ordered him to play it down and pretend he thought it was an older man driving the car. Is that a big giant conspiracy? Absolutely not Is that the kind of shit cops pull all the time? yes. Nobody wants to admit they aren't good at their job, nobody wants to admit there's a killer on the loose they can't catch. I can see the conversation: sgt. smith- it's looked like the car was staged and wine was splashed all over the roof, seats and doors and things were strewn all over indicating there was a struggle. It didn't look right, & a neighbor told us about a suspicious red truck in the area, we pulled over 3 red trucks late night but found nothing. I have no suspect but I think she was abducted. Then his Lt. Responds- There is no direct evidence of foul play, you have no proof she was abducted, she could just be a runaway. We aren't gonna say we think she got abducted but you should investigate it as such. & make sure when the family comes they dint think you suspected foul play that night, we don't want a media shitstorm here. That is obviously speculation but realistic, conversations like that happen all the time behind the scenes of LE, but this doesn't make it some big conspiracy. & we have one definite 100% lie told to the family so we know they aren't averse to lying. |

Judged: 2 2 2 Most definitely, if they thought it could've been blood then they def should've opened that door. I wonder if smith thouggjt the wine all over the car was evidence of a struggle. The wine was ina coke bottle, which isn't that easy to splash out of. It's said that wine was in the sears, the ceiling and the seats. Well if it was spilt durin the crash shouldn't it have all spilled in one direction? Seems like there was wine all over the car from reports, I wish there was pics of the red stains somewhere |

Judged: 1 might want to check your sources of the liquid in the coke bottle. Not sure it was wine. |

Judged: 1 1 hmmm......she wouldn't drive her vehicle to clinicals but she wasn't doing clinicals....its awfully hard to get a nursing degree without any clinicals.....in fact, impossible. Not saying it's correct, but in a previous forum the actual clinical rotation site was named. |

Judged: 1 1 I agree. You've been following this, participated in the previous forums and have a local and professional interest/connection to Maura's disappearance. If you were planning to disappear forever wouldn't you erase the searches on your computer if they were NOT for work-related research? And who told a blogger/writer from Ohio about the so-called "big reveal" information from Maura's hard drive? That information is part of an ongoing police investigation and I doubt the actual results have been released or leaked. If you buy people a few beers in a local bar, it's amazing the yarns they can spin. |

I've always wondered why Sharon would have been shown an area where Maura's car door made "a shelf" in the snow where her drivers door was opened, in an area where the snow banks were "head high". IMO this spot would have been much closer to the actual curve where the snowplow attempts to keep the curve less dangerous by pushing back the snow quite a distance away from the road.
Westmans later pointed out to family where Maura's car actually was, much further east. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Someone else said on Mr. Renners blog AnonymousFeb 1, 2012 10:17 PM I have to say, I didn't want to post it, but that was the first thing I thought of when I saw that picture - methamphetamine. The look is there. I hope that's not the case, but it would add a very new dimension to the story. Also there are probably meth labs up in NH so do you think she was one of them? Also if her Mum died of cancer maybe Maura used her pain meds and got hooked? I'm just thinking here out loud. |
Judged: 1 1 what do you think the liquid was l4m ? Police report said it smelled like alcohol ? Seagrams possibly? We still don't know what was meant by seagrams. |

I was reading this from Mr Renners blog and it just makes me think harder about why a Dad would not let him help find her? That's what everyone says in the comments because her friends were really important to her. i don't know but maybe he has his reasons. It's really sad.
Saturday, November 5, 2011 Fred Tells Maura's Friends to Keep Quiet. When Maura lived in Hanson, she was part of a popular group of girls that stuck together through thick and thin. Katie Jones. Carly Muise. Erin Devine. Andrea Connelly. Laura Rideout. Leader of the gang was Liz Drewniak (pictured above), who ran with Maura and would later go on to become valedictorian. About a year ago, I started reaching out to these women but got no response. When I visited Hanson earlier this year, I spoke to Drewniak's mother at length, who provided me with a lot of background on Maura. Connelly's mother, as well, was much help. But the women, themselves, still did not return messages. I later found out why. Turns out Fred Murray spoke to Liz Drewniak and said they should not talk to me. He, again, reiterated that he did not want a book or more publicity about his daughter's disappearance. For misguided, though understandable, reasons Liz then told her friends to keep quiet. Hopefully they change their mind before the book goes to print." |

Judged: 1 1 1 Based on the information you've heard and read over the years, do you think that some long-time follows of this case believe: 1) The Saturn was further along the road and was pointed in an easterly direction in the eastbound lane? 2) The damage to the bumper was as a result of being cut off and making contact with another car/truck on Rt 112 between WB and BHR? 3) Someone might have abducted Maura from her car (while inside or standing outside)? 4) There wasn't an accident based on car malfunction or driver error? 5) Any ostensible discrepancies in log times might be because LE initially thought the car was abandoned by a possible DUI driver and didn't take the matter seriously? |

i think it was wine if it was red. Seagrams isn't red and the police said it smelled like booze. |
