I've never read about those cleared of wrongdoing....... Well if Billy was in OK at the army base and had to get on a plane to travel to NH I think he would be cleared.

Didn't she crash his car? So she got a ride over to the hotel and had the wreck dropped off in a parking spot. She then quitely got into bed and in the morning told him that she crashed his car?

My guess is that Fred was trashed and that maybe explains the poor judgement to let Maura drive the car when she had drinks and he didn't even know if she was covered on his Insurance. Fred also had little recollection of stopping at the liquor store. My guess is that Fred was wasted so Maura decided to wait till morning to let him know. fred probably has no recollection of the phone call Maura made to Billy. It must be on his Cell records or Billys if she indeed did make the call.

Maybe cleared as to his whereabouts at the time Maura went missing? If he was cleared in OK, why question him as a suspect in NH? I'm confused as to what you are stating.

In some states the owner of the car is liable for any damage. A hit and run could be millions just in damages. If maura did hit Vasi which I don' think, the only way she would get caught would be through a confession which apparently isn't going to happen. I agree that it is highly unlikely Maura had anything to do with Vasi's accident. Thank you for explaining the insurance situation. It's very different here.

Don't they usually ask if you'd like two keys when staying at a motel? Earlier on, they may have requested a cot be rolled into the room, as Fred may have hoped they'd get an early start and Maura stay over with him.

I'm pretty sure Lighthouse means Billy had an alibi and was too far away to have anything to do with things.

I believe Billy was cleared because the night that Maura went missing he was in OK in his army barracks. He would have to be questioned in NH by LE to find out all of this information as to where he was the night before. Also I would think it helps to try to find out as much information as you can about the person ie: did she mention anything about running away, or was she suicidal?

The Vasi hit is the equivalent of JFK's second gun men theory. I will say that this disappearance is different than most other cases. It is not like she was making pancakes and then was abducted from her kitchen, or went to a night club and then went missing. This is someone who left college under a suspicious pretense and then went missing.

It doesn't make sense that she could quietly gain access and just go to sleep without him noticing. Is he used to people slipping into his motel room without him waking up? No way. LE can't prove what might have happened in that room or how he reacted to the crashed car.

From Renners blog: "In his statement, Fred says he didn't learn of Maura's accident until after she got out of bed in his motel room at 10:30 Sunday morning. But according to this page of the cell reports, someone made three outgoing phone calls from his cell phone at five in the morning that day. So are we to believe Maura returns to his room after two a.m. Makes phone calls from his cellphone. Sleeps in the bed. And he either doesn't know she's there or is unconcerned with why his daughter came back to his motel room in the middle of the night instead of sleeping in her dorm? Something about this is not adding up."

Apparently jurisdiction was an issue that evening or LE would not have been arguing in someones backyard. East of BHR is someone elses town, juris and nobody wanted to search east of the accident scene. Why Oh Why I ask....Why.?? John

No one but her Dad knows for sure what went on in that motel room before she took off for NH. Was she getting away from him or from some other situation or person? The Dad gave up some strange vibes right in the beginning with the old squaw walk thing and his bodyguards throw up detour flags. That's what Mr. Renner is for.

Ok so if she left her phone at sara's, how was she able to call for a tow truck from the accident scene in Hadley? It's been said that she called aaa. So thatmeans she had another cell phone right? Or most likely had another cell
