LE stated that they did not search east of BHR. No LE or FD or EMS came from the east. They should have searched to the east. They should have put out a BOL that night to all surrounding areas. They did not search to the east....Why. What GOOD reason did they have not to go that way. She was headed east, to the east, easterly, towards Lincoln. East I say....East..! WHY..? John

Susan Champy a whitness to seeing Le at the scene of the accident as she drove by states the following: "The local man and one of his male friends did snow plowing in the area at the time. champy added, recalling that while plowing they drove rt 112 frequently. Strangely neither has been seen in the area since Maura disappeared. Champy also recalled that the local man was friendly with someone in the Haverhill area court system."

Did the Amherst college library close at 1 A.M.in 2004 ? Does anyone on this forum know what the hours were at the Amherst College library back in 2004 when Petrit Vasi was the alleged victim of a hit and run ? Did the hours at that library change daily ?

Lighthouse 101 wrote: <quoted text> It does strike me as very odd as well. Fred Murray who was very secretive about Maura's past and who is very smart would probably require all PI's assisting in the case to sign non disclosures. If you didn't sign a non disclosure you could sell your findings to James Renner. So if you really assisted the case I don't think you would want to say anything truthful on a forum where you could be in breach of non disclosure. I smell a professional. It's not the X Patrolman Private I Detective Columbo who said he's working for free for the Murrays. Prolly means no contract and nothing solid to sell to James Renner anyway.

Advocate wrote: <quoted text> (1) Reported that she was not driving the Saturn even around town, and (2) She had an assigned parking lot, was it right outside the building where she worked security? <quoted text> Hitting the green lights is "iffy" obviously. Left, hit Vasi and back in 5 minutes is I think a real stretch. It would take almost 5 minutes just to park the car again. Then there is the not-so-small matter that if she left the building, the door would have closed and locked behind her. With no one at the security desk to buzz the door open, she could not have gotten back in herself nor could other students while she was gone. At least, this is how I have understood that the door system worked re security. The door wouldn't lock if she wedged something between it and the doorjamb, or some-one (a friend) kept a look out and let her back in .

Lighthouse 101 wrote: <quoted text> I would love an objective statement from LE stating "After meeting with him we checked his alibi and he is cleared." This would help everyone focus their attention elsewhere. Even James Renner in my opinion would benefit from a statement from LE concerning this. In a lot of ID shows LE makes statements that certain people aren't POI's. The father may still be a POI because officals have not ruled him out, yet.

While her assigned lot wasn't right outside the building, prob about a 5 min walk, this isn't where she would've parked if she drove there. At night at UMass u can park anywhere as long as u dint park overnight, so if she did drive, she would've parked right outside the building. I still think that if the Saturn did hit vasi it more more likely that it was someone else driving. This would b thee person who called her from on campus shortly after 1am and the cal reduced her to a catatonic state. UMass police were able to trace it to on campus but have no way of knowing who was on the other end

I am in no way a professional in LE or anything close to the profession.

Why would she plan to sneak back in? She wouldn't be planning on hitting anyone therefore why would she have to sneak back in? I think people are trying to wedge this puzzle piece in the wrong puzzle board. I could be wrong but thats my opinion.

Maybe her supervisor didn't make regular rounds. Maybe it was a lax unenforced security system.
