There was a small shed like bldg. where they sold snacks and drinks. Further down were a couple of weekly rental summer cabins. One time I got caught in the Eddy and was pulled out. The area ..at night...became a teen hangout and soon the area was sort of off limits. This is before Mountain Lakes...there first start up was hindered because of crimal/financial issues. At least I have the memories of the good times at the Bridge... A witness had stated that they saw someone walking near the Eddys that night. And another witness stated they saw someone walking on 112 toward 302 before arriving to the scene. I honestly dont know if what these witnesses saw concerning the person walking had anything to do with Maura. I dont know if they both witnessed the same person walking or if it was 2 seperate individuals seen by witnesses.

Just me--paris wrote: <quoted text>According to some, Maura pleaded with him to NOT call the police. She fibbed again, SBD knew it....no reception = no call made to AAA. He went away mumbling to himself . I can see him having sleepless nights because of the maybes', like if only I'd have stayed with her until police came.....things like that are possible too. There was spotty cell phone service in the area in 2004. If you moved several feet toward the west from the tree with the ribbon on it there was cell phone service but not very good. If you stood in SBDs yard there was also cell phone service. Maybe it depends on the time of the day or the coverage you have.

Casey wrote: <quoted text> When RO saw the red truck was there two people or one person? Because if there was two people like a female and a male I could see Maura more willing to get in the truck. That's something she wasn't entirely sure of. It was dark out and she couldn't really see in the truck, then in the lot she was outside in the light and u couldn't see into the truck b the glass was reflecting. But she Saw someone innthe drivers seat and didn't see anybody in the passenger seat, that doesnt def mean there was nobody there bc she couldn't see well, but she felt like it was one man in the truck. & we gotta remember the sighting of the truck in the side of bhr near the scene, with the passenger door open. Is it possible someone they parked there and left their passenger door open knowing they would have maura in their arms and therefore would b unable to open the passenger door? Is it possible this person used chloroform to knock her out and then carried her to his truck waiting nearby with the door open?

on Feb 6 at 1:00am in the morning. She was upset by a phone call. Had help getting back to dorm room. She then orders a pizza like 3 or 4 am. Odd behavior for a girl that is as healthy as she appears with A type personality. Odering a pizza would more likely be for two people wanting a whole pizza. More of a male behavior ordering a pizza by yourself. She lied about a death in the family. Could she had lied about the phone call? So that she could have meet someone waiting for her in her dorm room? I was reading some where on this form that the phone call came inside the same building she was working in.

well,if we believe RO's story (and I do)then we know that the red truck did not follow Maura in tandem or to meet her there. Has the Family checked with Maura's friends yet regarding the bowling like shoes I described? Is this another Family secret?

I'm pretty sure the pics and artwork from her walls was found in her room. She did not have a roommate. I think she had been staying off campus with a new bf, several things point to that being so. It's entirely possible that she took everything off her walls bc she was planning on moving into his apt full time. There's a lot that we just don't know about her life at Amherst before she left

Currently less than 50% of the houses in Mountain Lakes are permanent residences. In 2004 it was closer to 35%.

What do I know? Good question. I do know, that area is the only reasonable way to get from VT and NY to the Lincoln area or farther east. So many people, we call them "skiers". They use that road continually to cross back an forth. So it isn't locals or people that live in the area who use that road mostly in the winter. There are lots of really stupid "theories" being passed around by people who clearly know nothing about the area, it's people or the commonly known things about the area but claim to know. Like the rate of water in the Wild Ammo during winter. Everyone knows that the rivers in all those areas including the Wild Ammo runs hard in the spring from the snowmelt. Not during February when virtually everything is locked solid in ice. But that doesn't stop people from spouting off with absurd "observations". I know lots more but its not worth trying to share some of it with the people here. Bill

They aren't looking for dissenting opinions or rational thought. Oh wait. I remember, you already gave your opinion on this case just a while ago. They must have skipped over that. I suspect they don't read much of any opinions that are rational and disagree with what they already think. Bill

No, the bf has nit come forward & we still aren't 100% that he even exists. Though I think renner did say that he has the guys name. I believe he does exist and that Maura had a second cell phone that she communicated with him with. There is evidence to support that she had a second cell. When she left that party in the dorm on Saturday night she forgot her cell phone. Her friend remembered this & Maura had to return to her room the next day to retrieve it. But when Maura crashed at 3am she was able to call aaa from the side if the road to get towed. It was 3am so we know she didn't go to any nearby houses& there r def no payphones nearby, so she must've used a cell to make that call; her second cell phone. Which makes sense, the bill from her other cell went to her bf's house in Ohio. I'm sure she didn't want him knowing every call she made, especially if she had another bf.

I'll sum up his theory for you: she was a stupid drunk college girl from mass who ran from an accident and got lost in the woods. Pretty convenient theory, then u don't have to admit that there's a killer on the loose that LE can't catch. Not a very good thought for tranquil little Nh, huh? These people r in serious denial, this much we know
